I consider Floor the Bruce Dickinson of female metal singers. Brilliant voice!

Anyway, if you find yourself enamored with her vocals.....and you're curious, if not partial to that lump in your throat when she sings.....I urge you to step outside your favored genre and trust me on this......check out Floor Jansen in "Beste Sangers" here on UA-cam.
Funky Danish show where various successful Danish singers were invited.
They get to know a bit about one another, and then, throughout the length of the show (I think it was a week long or so), they each take a turn being the focus of the evening where each of the other singers has to sing a song to them......something relevant to the person in the hot seat.
Anyway, the majority of these other singers had no idea who Floor is before this show.
To say she blows them away is an understatement.
To say she will blow YOU away......is another understatement.
One note: Make sure you choose clips wherein you can have english subtitles and you get the conversations leading up to each song......not just the song itself.
The background and motivation for each song is as interesting as her renditions.
I'll tell you this.....she sings different songs in English, Dutch, Spanish and German......un-fucking-believable.

If you shed one tear at Ever Dream, you definitely have to see "Dead Boy's Poem" (Live at Buenos Aires). You probably won't keep it dry, at least i couldn't. The onions are strong in that one. About the harmony, may be Ghost River (Wacken).
That's what Floor does, make people cry. You have also listen to Ghost love score to hear her vocal scills and even better the whole Wacken concert and they have also a cover of Pink Floyd High hopes and there you can hear Marco's voice really good

Shudder before the beautiful, Seven days to the wolf, last ride of the day, The poet and the pendulum or The greatest show on earth all have harmonies in them between Marco and Floor and Troy aswell in some of them.
The version from the End of an Era concert has Marko harmonizing with Tarja. Actually if you really like Marko doing harmonies there are quite a few songs from the End of an Era concert. Planet Hell, Ever Dream, Phantom of the Opera, and I Wish I Had An Angel.
This is the tail end of their 18 month Imaginaerum album world tour. Their Imaginaerum album has quite a few songs on it that have that mystical/fantasy vibe.. But, a you will see their next album may completely switch it up and have a more power metal sound, you just never know.. But, no matter the style of music they will all have those rich symphonic and choir elements that give the music that full exciting signature sound to it.
You guys definitely need to check out "Dead Boy's Poem" (Live at Buenos Aires). I have a feeling you guys will love it!

Chels, I didn't notice any tears - I was too busy with tears of my own. This is one that always gets to me, and is my personal favorite from Wacken. Another one that always gives me a physical reaction is "Nemo", because it was the first Nightwish song I ever heard (which started me on this beautiful journey). Sometimes producing a few tears is all you can do. If only all our tears could be this happy.
