poetry games it's a daimon. She is not a "girl". She is a demon. To create daimons, they place daimon eggs in objects. I think in this episode they place the egg in a pair of shoes. So she came out like that.

As a animation geek: I LOVE the World Shaking animation, it's so great I can forgive for reusing it every single time.
Reusing Animation isn't bad though.... more like people shouldn't binge watch animes for that to be a problem
so true! Uranus' and Neptune's attack animations are so well done - it's not just a character moving, but it's as if they actually have weight and force of these bodies! And just look at the very first wave of Neptune's attack - the sound and the water flow also have weight in them! those animations are legendary

As a long term Japanese learner, and sailor moon, I am LIVING for the fact these actresses tried to keep japanese pronunciation on point - ie. Haruka and Michiru both with their rolled Rs. Viz did a great fan servixe

Uranus' voice is such a big improvement compared to her Cloverway actress. I actually liked Neptune's Cloverway voice, but her Viz one sounds really good too. I also love Eudial's voice. I'm so happy Erin Fitzgerald finally got a bigger part.
Oh, yeah, much better Uranus voice actor here. Cloverway's constantly yelling yet permanently monotonous Uranus was unforgettably terrible.

The animation is so smooth and flawless the way they transform and move. I miss that in modern ones..
Yeah, sadly between Hand drawn and modern animation, especially when it comes to Anime, the smoothness in animation slightly declined.
@@samuelhuff3427 but that's not entirely fault of the technology. In this particular clip, the transformations and attacks were animated by Hideaki Anno, so it's more a lack of new talent and far less budget than anything else

Always loved Uranus’ transformation. The slight touch of lipstick and hair fluff was so elegant (and was opposite to her character).

Uranus and Neptune are the coolest Sailor duo by a wide margin.
The real thing I like about the Viz Media dub is they stayed true to Uranus and Neptunes relationship and didn’t make them cousins like the Cartoon Network dub did. I wish I had known about this dub as a kid but unfortunately I did not

That Uranus Planet Power, Make Up! and Neptune Planet Power, Make Up! are emotional and fit the context and characters very well. As well as the World Shaking and Deep Submerge attack.
It is much much better than the early dubs and actually resembles the original Japanese one.
It would have been perfect if the translation wasn't a bit wonky. I'm pretty sure Hurtler's attack was called "Hard Line" (although Hurtler Line makes sense with her character). Although I can understand why they change "Daasssh!" to "100 yard dash!"; but if you are going to do that, it should be "100 meter dash" since that's the measurement used in track & field in almost all of the world. Still Americianizing anime after all those years...
Voices are great though.

This is a wonderful clip to showcase Haruka and Michiru dubbed, in my opinion it sounds like Viz is still doing a wonderful job. Im still so excited to see this season translated faithfully due to how this season feels like the peak of the shows writing quality. I love the moments where we see the attacks outside of the stock footage which gives me a sense of both their strength and control. The show definitely relies and priorities the use of stock footage but the claim that that's all it uses is false. This clip provides an example from Uranus and Mars. Roughly a quarter of the time, we get deviation. It tends to depend on what's needed for the fight.
Cristina Vee and Lauren Landra are the GOAT va for the Sailor Moon series. I love their Va for Sailor Mars and Neptune 🥰😊.
Haruka and Michiru are the most badass lesbian couple in the franchise. The bad guys look like they have the upper hand until Haruka and Michiru arrive as Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune and save the day.

Viz is playing the long game and yes, the dub is more literal, but DiC blows them out of the water as far as acting choices and emotion. Not so much the Cloverway stuff unless a holdover from DiC. Sorry, agree to disagree. Viz is fine, don't get me wrong, but DiC was superior as far as emoting, especially the attacks. Those Canadian gals rocked the heck out of that (at times) garbage script.
All of the spells sound the same in Viz: upward inflection first half, then back down the second half. Very little variability. That Sailor Venus VA though holy heck she gets it!
@@Twin2Jr personally, I didn't really like any of the voice actors except for the original Mars and Jupiter's. To each their own, however; I personally believe the Viz VAs are better by far.

I'm 21, I watched the DIC dub as a toddler, I'm currently watching the original Japanese dub, and I"m still shook when I hear/read "Burning mandala". I'm always like "GURL. DON'T YOU MEAN MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND????" It's amazing how things stick with you from a young age.

During the third season and the cloverway dub sometimes you would hear selling more same are Celestial fire surround... Order shorten it she would say Mars fire surround. That was the attack that we grew up with... It's still new to me to know that the original Japanese name was burning mandala but the names for the attacks are dope anyway

Why does every character’s first transformation theme sound so perfect, the inner senshis’ from season 1, The outer senshis’ and Chibi Moon’s from season 5, the Sailor Starlights
What bothers me is that they package it as Blu-ray yet they don't have the full HD source. So we're stuck with the empty black spaces! It bothers me. Hopefully one day they get an actual HD SOURCE.

Tai Shenron I read somewhere that Cartoon Network pushed Cloverway to dub the 3rd and 4th seasons within a very short amount of time, and looking back that didn't help at all.
