That's how a genuine person's work made them watchable. Nice tactics I use all of them but I don't have my squad, random guys just drop and die and expect me to collect banner from death box while enemy squad is looting them, all I have to do play solo everytime.

Ha ha yes.... i am going to enjoy this. sometimes i feel useless with him, as only the slight ult aggro or maybe people walking into traps is satisfying. Im still new to him, but i wish to get better and perhaps be more aggressive, instead of seeing no one every game and dying to a rando team. Or landing with like 4 squads and then dying. At least he looks cool.
He can be awkward to play aggro but lots of fun. I get frustrated sometimes too. Just remember that this game is pretty dang hard.

Season 0-13 Caustic main. 1140 odd gas kills.
Caustics kit is: Crowd Control, and Area Denial.
Avoid wide open field like areas.
Close Quarters Combat is your friend.
SMGs and Shotgerns are your friend.
season 4-13 Caustic main. I've got 691 kills, over 600k nox damage, and 131 wins with him. I'd say he's pretty OP in CQs and just buildings in general. a map like storm point has very little to offer him in terms of movement and utilizing his traps. but on Olympus and world's edge he's pretty busted. basically you have him with like a lifeline or bloodhound you should be good. I tend to run either a volt and eva 8 combo or a flatline and r99 combo when using him. the volt and evo are filthy to fight against, especially when trying to fight in smoke against. Caustics kit is by far a top 3 legend kit and even with the nerfs(minus whichever season the nerfed him last) he's maintained the pickrate to back up my theory on him being the most consistent legend to play as

Main caustic tip here: since your gas slows people and they cannot run, use your ult and follow up with grenades and arc stars around them. They won't be able to dodge plus they panic
just hit your shots and shoot them

It's annoying that the caustic gas traps sometimes just disappear on doors when someone just try to open it or kick it and are not refund. I think it's a bug but nobody cares because caustic has low pickrate if it's really a bug it means that it's here since almost 3 seasons...

Dude, it's really annoying. I've died on many occasions because of that. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but it's actually a pretty big nerf. I think he got a lot of nerfs from the devs because he can be super annoying to fight, so people complained a bunch.

This is a pretty good and comprehensive tips. What I would add as a tactic is the bait and switch (I think that is the term). If you hear/know of a team ahead, trap up paths to an area of cover and then push forward. When you take a few hits, run back (you will need to communicate this to all your team) and when the enemy pursues, they run into your gas. This allows you to run to hit from a side or behind as they take damage. Plus side, if your team are attacking, you can run behind and throw traps which will expand and set off when they try to retreat and keep them in the gas to get 7, 8, and even 9 ticks.
I feel ya. This would take time to set up and might be hard to do on the fly, but would be really cool to pull off. Good tip 👌

Little tip - you can bounce his traps off a bounce pad for longer distance.

not finished with the video but i would like to add to be careful placing inside of explosive holds as well very iffy whether they’ll work. i had a game where they proceeded to just despawn before any inflation
you have to place them on the black panels going across the floor. place them anywhere else they wont spawn in the hold

Whats the ideal comb with caustic in S14? And also what loadout should I use charge and r301? R301 and shotgun?
I haven't been able to play forever, so I can't speak to the new season. But I think it's whatever you're comfortable with. For pubs I use whatever. For ranked, I like to either do marksman/sniper and an SMG or AR and shotgun.

Losing aim assists in the gas as the fucking legend that created said gas is the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time
Caustic is the most unique character in the game. the amount of angles and places you can put traps and ult to zone is endless.
For instance right above the zip line in Worlds Edge Streamer building, you gas at the right corner of the roof and it’ll zone majority of the lower roof
Oh dang, not quite sure which corner you mean, but I didn't even think about gas clipping through walls. It definitely helps at times and knowing certain spots is a pretty big brain.
