After the last shoe video, I went to the shoe store to look at the dress shoes, I proceeded to buy the best/most expensive pair of combat boots I've found. Pure functionality, awesome in farming, hiking, and shootist activities. Also, shorts and cowboy boots are the superior grocery retrival appearal.

Great video, Antonio and very informative! I'm primarily a cowboy boot guy and believe they are underrated/looked down upon by those who do not wear them. In addition to the functionality of boots, they are comfortable and look great, at least in my opinion. Appreciate the top quality information you consistently provide in your videos.

My grandfather left me all his dress cowboy boots and suits. Multiple Snake, alligator, elephant, and stingray. Beautiful well kept boots! He was a GP in OKC and dressed sharp everyday. I'm very fortunate to have all these.
I wear Stacy Adams wingtip dress boots every day.

@@BullMooseFox I used to wear his boots quite often. I haven't worn them in a little over five years since I wear Stacy Adams wingtip dress boots every day now. The lace up and lower shafts (just past the ankle) are easier and cooler to wear year round. If you like boots Stacy Adams has some NICE dress boots to wear with jeans, chinos, or slacks. On sale you can get 20-50% off of $150 pair of very nice boots.

@@ricarellan they are right! I wore my gray and cognac Finnegans today. I get complements all the time wearing those. Mostly women because they typically look at people's shoes. I have the all black Finnegans and the cognac Malones too. All really nice comfortable boots and boost my confidence wearing them. I wear an 8.5 in dress shoes and I had to get the 7.5 in Stacy Adams. Maybe go try some on at Macy's before ordering on the website. The Malones are on the same sale I got mine on.

This is an incredibly comprehensive tutorial, Antonio. It was interesting how you began the vid with the western cowboy boot. I owned one pair in the early 1980s; I never felt it was me, but I was visiting Dallas and, well, when in Rome.
Boots are ridiculously hot, and competition in the bootmaking industry is fierce. Having the information you present here is an advantage for novice buyers and folks like myself who own several pairs and want to add wisely to the wardrobe.
Increasingly, I have been wearing the Chelsea and Balmoral styles with my suitings and sports jacket/odd trouser combos. I am looking at full brogue lace-ups and a Chukka (or two) as my next purchases. Good thing I watched this video before buying, right?

Awesome video. I have very wide feet so it really limits what I can wear for shoes. One thing I've found good luck with though is the old military issue speed lace combat boots from the late 80 through early 2000s. I can get them in wide sizes and they are American made for less than 100 dollars. I wear them for work, hiking, motorcycling, travel, and with wool socks they do really well in colder weather and the winter. I think they look decent if they are cleaned up to wear around town but you couldn't dress them up too much.

Where's the moon boot or the all mighty KISS BOOT, lol! At 6'6", I'll rock those from time to time. My first pair of boots were Durangos. Now imagine, a black kid in the early 90's in a very "urban" environment where Jordans and Air Force Ones ruled the landscape, me strutting with that buckle completely ignoring the keepers of the status quo.
    Walk with confidence gents!

i didn't even know something like non-skid pads for shoes existed. I almost broke a few bones when I wore a pair of Chukka boots with a completely smooth bottom and it suddenly started pouring. The shoes were gliding uncontrollably on the edge of the sidewalk....

Yeah, that's what would worry me, too: not only have I had to walk, drive, and even BICYCLE in crappy weather, regardless of what I was wearing, but I work in a warehouse, in which sturdier and "grippier" shoes would be more appropriate, even at dressier levels. Either non-slip pads or thicker, chunkier soles are going to be right up my alley.

You should do a longer video on work boots (I'd prefer to look at higher end stuff like pnw boots from nicks or jk) and the crossover for fashion. I understand that you might not have the experience/knowledge on how they perform durability wise, but as far as fashion, I'd really appreciate your input.
Ps, the knowledge/experience comment was not a dig at all, just commenting that I'm not necessarily asking you to be an expert on how boots perform for a 14 hour shift working construction or logging.

Great to know the U.K.’s perspective. U.S. cowboys and farmers have different mindsets than the U.K. folk though. I think Aussies like em though and they’re tough.

Your island is so inconsequential that literally nobody even remembers you exist here. You didn't even have cowboys. You guys were just playing pride and prejudice while we were adventuring and taming the west.
Lots of dudes here wear cowboy boots. Farmers, my grandpa, lots of soldiers who were from the south wore them in their off time. Really cool people.

Why don't you YT'ers ever just tell people to take their new leather soled footwear of any kind to a bookmaker day one after buying and have a toppy glued on, grip, improved wear and the leather sole remains perfectly intact. Wear out the toppy, get a new one, replacing a toppy every once and a while is a lot cheaper than a full leather resole, re sew etc.

Don't wear cowboy boots unless you are planning to ride a horse. That's what they are for, and wearing for any other reason ("fashion") makes you a poser.
