Imagine the GOAT status and the impression that MJ made in the audience by that time. He literally sat on the chair and lip-synced throughout the performance and yet he got the crowd cheering up and got a standing ovation. And not to mention he was just 34/35 years old here that's not a very old age to get that level of legendary status. NO ONE is on his level.

I would have to say that this was Michael's hardest challenge: Try not to dance though he wanted to dance so badly that he almost jump from that chair. He's the one human being that could sit on a chair in the middle of the stage, perform, making a few dance moves only moving his arms, and still have the audience screaming and cheering at him. Should not doubt why he was called KING OF POP!!! 😀 Truly shows just how committed he was to entertain even with a sprained ankle! 😍

Michael Jackson was the only artist who could command a crowd like that. You two should do a reaction to some of his songs from "Live at Bucharest". I mean, he literally stood on stage for five minutes not moving, and the audience went nuts! I have that concert on DVD and it was EPIC. Check it out, y'all won't regret it. 😎👍

First of all, there was no such thing as Coachella in his time, and second of all MJ is way too big for Coachella. But if we observe in-depth every stage that MJ hit, he left a mark/benchmark/standard or changed the game for example his world tour setups, Grammy performance, AMA performance, VMA performance, and most importantly super bowl. Every stage he stepped his foot on was game-changing. Imagine giving MJ 4 months to prepare just for 2 hrs show, he would have set another history and created another standard for future performers.
THANK YOU!!!... He was the first black artist to have a music video on MTV, breaking the barrier for all other black artists on that network to follow. He had a successful music career starting at childhood with The Jackson 5, he had Thriller, not only a phenomenon itself, but was one of the first music videos created whose intro was like a "movie", and while many artists have musicians that have come before them that influenced them (like James Brown and Jackie Wilson were for Michael) one may say "she is the evolution of him because his career was studied", but there was not a Michael Jackson before Michael Jackson, he is an original.

This is my FAVORITE MJ song, so I have to suggest you watch the actual music video! It was a television event, because MJ videos weren’t just videos, they were mini movies, and features cameos by some of the biggest stars of the 90s. Plus the song is amazing and the Egyptian themed choreography and cinematography are perfection! It was an instant classic! 😍😍😍🎶🎶🎶

It's the fact that you can see him so hard bopping to the song and trying not to get up but he has a couple moments when he gets up or hes moving his feet it's like when your favorite song comes on and you want to dance to it but you're in public so you use your feet and your mouth the words alone and try not to do too much movement that's exactly what he was doing and it's funny he got a standing ovation and he still won an award that same day
When he got the award later on that day he actually did say that he was in a wheelchair because he was doing dance practice and he sprang his ankle

Hey I was there at the 7th Annual Soul Train Music Awards @ The Shrine Auditorium. The reason Michael was in a chair was because he twisted his foot the night before during rehearsal, if you look he has a black boot on. Hey guys I have seen Michael 3 different times in concert.
