Just bought the new 100 watt panel! I also have 4 of the kits, the hub, and 10 batteries, connected in parallel... with a 4000 watt inverter. Works Great!!!You put the tech people at Harbor Freight to Shame!!! Most of the tech guys can't answer questions about their own products.
    Thanks for your videos!!
    They're Great!
    God Bless!

Can they be linked in series and /or in parallel ?
      Researching...
      Thanks

On the back of the panel it says do not wire in series. I'm assuming you can wire them in parallel. With the Harbor Freight hub. I have one hub going to buy another hub for 800 watts 2 solar chargers on a battery Bank.

Nice setup, great explanation, I'm Into the van life and I seen the 100 watt kit at h F for $190.00, I have 70 Amp hour 12 volt deep cycle AGM, and I plan to buy another, so I will have 140 Amp Hours, I mainly just want to watch TV, videos, and a smal)a/c unit and charge Ryobi batteries, I am an auto mechanic, I go to the gym for showers, and a few conveniences would be great, thank you for the video, great job!

There are 3 basic types of PV Cells. Polycrystalline, Monocrystalline and Thin Film Cells. If it was Karaoke Night, we'd be singing Meatloaf's "2 Out of 3 Ain't Bad". lol The 4 Panel Set is a Poly and will produce a charge on a cloudy day. Intended to be portable. The NEW single Panel is a Mono and is intended to be fixed facing as much FULL SUN as possible. They normally won't produce much power on a cloudy day. Yes, you CAN use this when camping. It just requires a lot of constant brightness in order to reach its potential. Shade is its Enemy. Another thing to mention is the Charge Controller. It's what comes with the 4 Panel Polys and is a PWM Controller rated for 10 Amps. You can fry it if you exceed the limit of Amp Input. From my own experience with the 4 Panel Polys, they max out around 6-8 Amps on a very sunny day. Just fine for THIS Controller. As you add Panels, you also add Amps. The more Amps produced, the stronger the Controller needs to be. 2 sets of the 4PP combined should produce around 12 Amps, which could be enough to exceed the limits of the Controller. Get a bigger and better Controller. You shouldn't need one larger than 40 Amp, considering your limited space for the array. Myself, I went for a 100 Amp MPPT Controller to allow for expansion of my array and to make better use of the energy being produced.

Hf monoc. Panel pulls 22.2volts...and 18 in the shade. They are good 👍😊. Charging my 1500watt powerstation indoors.

Nice to keep the old poly panels because they will continue to charge when cloudy as the monos wont

Really, I didn't know that. I have four of those kits. Two on my roof one on my shed and one that I'm going to use on my camping trailer that I'm going to build.

Thanks for the review. I have four of those kits. Two on the roof of my house connected to four batteries and it works well for power outages and one on my shed that my dog lives in with two batteries to run the fans to keep him cool. I'm going to do a camping trailer build using the other kit and I will probably add this panel to it since it takes less space for the same amount of watts. Will that 1,500 watt inverter run that AC ?

2 of your original panels are partially blocked by the wall between the windows. That will drop a fair amount of input.

depending on the battery lugs you might be able to use threaded bar to bolt each teminal up and have them in solid parallel for a more permanent system for later on

Why would I watch when you took away all my comments?😂
I must say I like the rod you have to keep them in place. Smart.
Would you get more power plugging directly into the hub and removing the 4 into 1 combiner? Less wire resistance. As little as it might be.

I have the 100 watt Thunderbolt kit. I wanted to add more solar input, so I bought this same panel. I noticed the panel is 24 volt. Can the two be ran into the same hub that you have and fed into my mppt that will charge my lithium batteries?

You are not supposed to mix panels. I tried to mix panels and it didn't work properly. Do some research , the panels are not working as they should. It only looks like it's working. Check your output with a multimeter with the mixed panels and without. I also strongly suggest a good charge controller.

Why use the Lord's name in vain.10 commandments say those who take the Lord's name in vain will not be guiltless in the day of judgment. If you are not talking to Jesus or calling upon him or telling people about Jesus then it is in vain.if it didn't have cussing and the Lord name in vain it would have been better.

I thought I read that you didn't have to buy a charge controller to plug this panel into an RV, or that it had a charge controller box on the back.

On your next video how about doing like movie/documentary directors do... write a story-board of what you want to get across to you audience BEFORE you just turn on the camera and ramble endlessly. This video should have be 1/3 the length that it is. Another tip : have the camera on a tripod or, better yet, get someone to operate it. Too long and too rambling.
