Shadow boxing, that sounds like a really good idea now. A very dark black, gloomy shadow rising up out of the deepest blackest pit imaginable, locked down forever by the unbreakable death grip like giant, black smiling, slithering pythons coiled around an endless sea of legs, pulled and swallowed without air to breath, piles and piles of humungous black snapping snakes for miles upon miles deep upon miles endless miles wide, snapping like tree trunks cracking, falling forever falling down down down thru a place so black and wretched it makes war s on earth seem but a nice, warm, happy sunny day in the summer time burnt yellow fields filled with wild horses running, young children laughing with old people clapping. @@jackcuneo6098 you’re right Brian Jones did bring a certain dynamic to the band, however even when he was still in the band he checked out in 1967..... after he broke his hand in Africa. Mick Taylor elevated the stones with his soloing, Brian was more of a multi instrumentalist. Mick Taylor is lead guitarist, and if you really think about it and watch some of their live videos between 69 and 72 that’s when the stones were really cooking especially when they play Jumping Jack Flash and Taylor adds a solo. If you wanna hear the best example listen Sympathy for the devil on the get your Yaya’s out version there’s two solos first one by Keith Richards second one by Mick Taylor and it is spot on Perfect, I will only wish they recorded it like that in the studio it’s so much better than the original. Hopefully you will give it a listen!
@Judy Alexander the stones are missing Bill Wyman’s Bass lines let’s give some credit to Bill he hardly ever gets the credit he deserves even to this day when Bill left the stones to me the band ended no Wyman no Stones the true stones really need Bill the real stones once Bill left the stones were never the true stones in my honest opinion the whole band should of called it a day after steel wheels
Oh my oh my how do we love Sir Jagger's hippety hoppety stage moves. Richards & Wood at least carry this above mediocrity. There's still a career for Jagger in stand up comedy also . Wonder who he's gonna replace Richards with when he finally chokes ,Charlie was replaced in an instant.
Jones passed away in 1969. That's 49 years ago for fuck's sake. Go play the old tunes if you like them so much and stop crapping on everybody's parade.
I 've just come straight from playing the original 60's version with Brian Jones on guitar - this doesn't come close, the magic is missing . When Brian died they just became an average rock band and all Jagger's posing couldn't change that. When Charlie Watts went too that was it.🙄
Who needs Brian Jones....The Stones are GREAT !! Love this !! Just look at how happy the Stones look, I repeat - Who needs Brian Jones - THEY sure don't ! You go, Rolling Stones !!!
Without brian Jones there would be no Stones. He was way more than just a pretty boy playing guitar in the background. He brought a special kind of soul to the band that they never had after he left
Considering that they were so pleased with the original recording as having an ''authentic R and B sound'' as it was done at Chess records this is disappointing. The licks played by the second guitar are not that difficult to reproduce. I'm a bit surprised at the rather basic arrangement.
Richards can no longer "pull the trigger" (take a decent solo) he should let Ron Wood do the solos, and Keith should stick to his signature open G rhythms and intros.
Yeah, but this one's played in standard tuning. Open G ain't gonna do it on this, and it's not compulsory to use it on every Stones track. And nothing wrong with Keith's solo and licks either. A bit rough and ready maybe, but he's always played like that, it's called Rock 'n' Roll.
