I believe the reason that stickered cubes sometimes feel different is because some companies use a slightly different plastic. For example, the original Zanchi had PVC in the black plastic but not in stickerless. The stickerless ones feel better, and it made people mad at the time because stickerless cubes weren’t competition legal.
The Mei Long is so light, it requires a light turning style. I do very well with it, even unmagnetized. But if you just played with a Valk 3 M I guess your style is still pretty harsh because it's such a heavy, relatively slow cube. The Mei Long deserves another review.

i’m 3 years late but i remember my original, stickerless valk 3 broke and i replaced it with a black valk 3, and it was significantly worse. i remember the stickerless valk being one of the best cubes i had ever used (at that time, being almost 6 years ago), and the valk 3 having a noticeable amount of more friction, as well as the plastic feeling “harder”
I honestly have no idea why moyu would release the meilong... They have the mf3rs 1 2 and 3, and this cube just seems like a bad qiyi warrior w. Kind of a joke tbh.
