Not joking, if you keep this up, you'll be getting sub 10 solves in no time! Once you've gotten really used to the keys and everything, your virtual times should be a decent bit faster than your physical cube times. I'd love to see you keep at this, and then make another video in a month or so!
but whats the point

You should try the 4-dimensional 3x3x3x3. It only exists virtually, but it’s one of the coolest puzzles of all time.
3x3x3x3 is also, by definition, 3⁴, which some call the hypercube
The Qiyi O2 Cube is actually a 1x1x1x1
And then the 5-dimensional.
There do exist physical implementations of the 2x2x2x2 and the 2x2x2x3.
@@Brawler_1337 I have even seen concepts of the physical 3^4. However solving that one might be a bit tedious given the lack of macros and strange moves for rotations.
tips from a good virtual solver (i have a 3.42 second solve):
the keymap layout is in the about page if you click on the cstimer logo and scroll
use no animation by going to the tool settings and changing the VRC base tps to infinity once you get used to them enough, its just faster
there are a bunch of optimized algs for virtual cube as doing double moves are surprisingly slow, they are pretty wack though
like for ua perm you press 5 and 6 to do M2 and then . for the M' so you dont move your left hand back
Please tell me 3.42 means 3 minutes and 42 seconds
@@evivic7851 Surely not though, I got a 2:29 on my 2nd attempt lmao

As a fellow Canadian, there have definitely been times when cold hands stop me from cubing. Mainly when it is the dead of winter and Ill be practicing, go to shovel, then come back and not be able to cube because my hands are so cold ):
Trying to move my fingers fast while cold is the saddest thing ever
As a swede i also understand.
@@futszak1234 ye
i recommend learning f2l and trying to improve on that as much as u can tho, and also if u dont already make the cross on the bottom so u dont need to rotate
My experience is kinda opposite. I can't solve the cube when it's hot weather, because my hands are constantly sweaty from the heat. So the cold weather is good for me, because my hands are dry from the cold. With dry hands, it is much more pleasant and faster to solve the cube
Me from Hong Kong: winter is always the best season to cube

J perm, thank you for being the best youtube cuber out there. You got me into speedcubing, and I am forever grateful.
Woohoo virtual! It's sick that you figured out how intuitive the keybinds so quickly. Awesome vid! Virtual big cubes are great too
Nice! Virtual cube is so much fun. A while ago I had an injury and couldn’t do physical cube solves. I picked up virtual, and because the keybinds mimic finger tricks I was able to improve really fast. I even made a virtual FTO because the hardware is so bad. Honestly virtual is a pretty good skill to have because you can do solves without needing a cube and it is honestly a lot of fun.
"You guys know those days where you can't just turn well at all?"
*Sounds like me everyday*
#relatable
Every day in canada...
not just canada...sadly ._.
It's happening 69 hours every day in Ohio.
Cool vid!
I also was messing with the virtual cube after watching Dana Yi's asmr vid for a while. I average around 28 seconds after lots of practice.
This is actually really interesting because there are very little finger trick limitations. Algorithm speeds can just be determined by the amount of turns instead of finger trick optimization. I might start training on this just as a fun challenge.
I used to stick my hands in the freezer, solve, and compare my times when my hands aren't cold. I am Canadian but moved to the Philippines so I don't naturally get my hands cold. Well, I guess that's a good thing.
"It SUCKS, this SUCKS, I need to beat that." -Dylan, 2022
Also said by every speedcuber ever.
Wow, I learned from your tutorial 1 year ago, now my pb is 11.02, with an average of 16-17 seconds
Thank you so much!
Hey Dylan, loved the video! I just think you could improve your times in the virtual solve by not making some moves or cube rotations that are only required if you are solving the real cube. For example, any cube rotation is not necessary because doing a F turn on the virtual cube is just stroking another letter. And algorithms need to be move efficient, and not fingertrick friendly.
Only dedicated viewers know that this video has been reuploaded
Yup
The end was brocken
Learning to solve a virtual cube is basically learning how to solve a whole new puzzle. The keybinds are overwhelmingly confusing to get used to 😵
Cool! Great to see how cubing has evolved so far, now we even have virtual cubes to play with:)
This is awesome, congrats again on 1 million :)
J perm you are my favorite youtuber. your videos make my day better. keep up the good work
Dylan: I can type preetty fast
Also Dylan: hits 127wpm
The fastest I've ever hit on typeracer was 124wpm.. and it's been a while since I practiced. The last time I checked my typing speed I could barely hit 110wpm
I'm no true speed typist but I did practice a lot when I was younger. On a good day I type at ~140 WPM
@@JPerm that's still super fast considering the average typing speed is 30-40 wpm, and if you typed that fast I'd consider you a speed typist.
PS NEVER THOUGHT YOU'D REPLY TO MY COMMENT SHEESH TY TY
@Memes shorts 64 is still 20 wpm faster than the general speed. But for me, my goal was always being able to hit +100wpm but ever since face to face school came back I haven't been quite able to practice typing a lot. I've been spending my time practicing cubing and basketball these days.
I used to practice typing a lot before. I had practiced for about 5-6 months and now I average 90-100 wpm and holy shit I was blown away by Dylan's typing speed.
@@sameepgorkhali4140 samee, I practiced typing a lot and also had around the same speed as you, and when I saw Dylan get 127 I was like, pretty fast? That's super fast!

Hey man congrats on 1 mil ur a HUGE inspiration to me i started my own channel because of you ur the best i love you man
Congratulations, even though it was a small goal, I know the happiness you feel when you actually achieve like that you made for yourself
Well now that you do virtual try the 4D one... It is fairly easy to do with commutators just need to get grip on what 4 dimensions cube looks like
The first 5x5 Rubik's cube I solved was an online one lol. Also, I have a solution for the case you had at 12:56. If the corner is on the left when you hold the case in front of you, do U' and then do Sune. If the corner is on the right when you hold the case in front of you, do U and then lefty Sune.
i had taken a break from cubes but i got the intrest again all because of you love you dylan
I tried doing this awhile ago, it broke my brain on 29 different occasions
I can barely turn my cube because I suck at cubing.
Edit: I'm trying to learn the finger tricks a whole lot better and currently working on d turns. Being able to speedcube has always been a big dream of mine and thanks to you I learned how to solve one, Thanks very much J Perm keep up the great work.

Have you checked any of his past videos? He has several playlists dedicated to getting faster at 3x3, as well as 2x2. He has video titled, "Rubik's Cube: How to Learn & Memorize Algorithms Faster!" You should always attempt to do your own research before asking for help.
@@dmr778810 actually yes I did know that, but those videos mainly focuse on the algorithms themselves, not a way to help remember them, and his videos have helped me considerably, but I'm trying for sub-20 single 3x3 and sub 2 single 2x2
i am literally in the exact same situation as you, have been stuck at 30 seconds for a few months now. keep going for that sub-20 single, it is definitely within reach!

Love the J Perm virt arc
The craziest part of this whole video for me was learning your name 😂 (I’m definitely gonna try this out tho, my hands get super stiff all the time)
0:17 That cube sounds like it dropped down the table 😂
This may be a good way to train people to stop using wrist turns.
I didn't know this existed, I shall try, since my cubes still aren't here. That Gan mirror is causing way too much delay.
A more accurate turn speed would probably be your speed on stenography, or shorthand. Although difficult to learn it’d be much closer to how fast your turning speed on a normal cube is.
Ur virtual cube solves are better than my regular cube solves
Among Us takes place in a space-themed setting where players look like colorful armless cartoon astronauts; however, since the release of "The Skeld" spaceship, three other maps have been added in later years: the skyscraper "MIRA HQ", the "Polus" planetary station, and "The Airship" (based on Infiltrating the Airship from the Henry Stickmin series, also developed by Innersloth). Each player takes on one of two roles-most are Crewmates, but a small number play Impostors-which does not alter their appearance.[d] The goal of the Crewmates is to either identify and vote out the Impostors, or to complete all the tasks around the map; the goal of the Impostors is to covertly sabotage the mission either by killing the Crewmates before they complete all their tasks or by triggering a disaster that cannot be resolved.
