I could cry. I need a laugh from her and anyone that don't love her ought to have their heads examined. Her and BH were 2 peas in a pod just like her and CB great talent which we don't have any more, it's all gone. Hollywood is not like it was
What an elegant ,poised ,eloquent public speaker lucille ball was ,not a single cringeworthy moment on her public appearances ,when other stars like Liz Taylor and many others often made fools of themselves, what class act
Literally hearing the here's Lucy song kinda makes me sad cuz I haven't seen the show in a few months. It's one of my favorite but I don't get to watch it much. It's such a good tune, but it makes me sad.
This is not a Bob Hope special, but instead the 1985 Kennedy Center Honors where Hope was one of the honorees. Lucy would be one of the honorees the very next year. Side note: She fibs just a little by saying she was just starting out when she became one of his leading ladies. Their first film together was "Sorrowful Jones" in 1949, Lucy had been making movies since the mid 1930's.
Apparently, she smoked up until just before her death. It is said that she was smoking backstage at the Oscars during her final appearance (which was with Bob Hope).

Yes, you're right John R. ! Bob did receive The Kennedy Center Honors but not until 1985. That show is now available to be seen on UA-cam.

Odd how they joke about women being sex objects. Now we know the truth with all this #MeToo movement.
