Definitely a very underrated model from Bachmann in my opinion. I have to say I'm even happier with mine since I put a decoder in it - the slow speed has drastically improved and it's as smooth as my Hornby Peckett! Thanks for watching 😃
@@ThatModelRailwayGuy Definitely under rated, the detail in person looks absolutely terrific. Mine also ran a lot better on DC when I ditched the Hornby controller for a nice Kato one.
It's a loverly model and this was a great review, I think we have our next Sam's trains here. the loco really suits your layout too, as I believe little factory sidings were where these engines were often found. I think it was a brewery that allowed them to survive so long as the midland railway signed a contract to work their siding for the next 100 years and the 1fs were one of few designs suitable
Wow, high praise indeed - I think I have a way to go before Sam needs to worry though! 😂 Yes it does look at home on the layout. Usually I just run a mix of whatever I want but it's nice to have something more prototypical every so often. Great info about them working the breweries too, I wasn't aware of that! Thanks for watching 😃
Hi, A short but to the point review. Excellent presentation. Well done ! Sad it only has a 3-pole motor. Overall not bad for a Bachmann. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it's a shame it only has a 3-pole motor but Bachmann do seem to be moving to coreless motors these days... whether that's a good or bad thing is another argument entirely! Thanks for watching 😃
It is very nice and the shunting speed is great too. If only it had a bit more control when coupling up it’d be a definite winner, but it’s a minor niggle really. Thanks for watching! 😊
Just got one of these and totally agree, it's a beauty. They have absolutely nailed it.

Thanks Tom, glad you enjoyed it! Haha, well I hear Rails Of Sheffield still have a few if you are tempted 😉
It's similar to the Bachmann jinty , basic but a good loco.

One of the most want bachmann model ever
They are good and mine runs even better now that it's on DCC. Thanks for watching 😃
And don’t forget customs 0-6-0
Very nice loco. I've got the open cab version.
Ah fantastic, I bet you get a great view of all the lovely cab detail on that! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
It looks good
Yes, for such a simple tank engine it really is quite attractive. Thanks for watching 😊
