      It’s been mine for a couple months now. Has definitely helped me hike longer trails with more incline with less exhaustion. I’ve cut out processed foods, avoiding larger meals closer to bedtime, and getting 3-4 Liters of water. I am currently working on sleep quality, and getting my vitamin D levels up. It’s a process.

    TREMENDOUS PHENOMENAL INFO....THANKYOU SIR

  • @Remind_me_to_pray
    @Remind_me_to_pray 7 місяців тому +8

    I love your delivery of information. I'd be really interested in hearing your thoughts on how much percentage of an active ingredient our skin actually absorbs? For example, if I have a 10% vitamin c serum, how much of that is actually absorbed and used? Thank you for your time!

    • @ArsalanAspires
      @ArsalanAspires  7 місяців тому +3

      That’s an excellent question. It’s hard to say because Vitamin C absorption through the skin greatly depends on the pH of the Vitamin C application and the stability. Since the skin is slightly acidic, the serum too needs to be as well. A pH below 4 is more ideal. Yes, the concentration will matter too. Higher concentrations will likely lead to excess Vitamin C being transported from the tissues into the blood where it will eventually be filtered out and excreted in urine.
      You don’t necessarily absorb more with a higher percentage. Maximum absorption is higher at 20% though. The hard part is getting it past the stratum corneum. Ferulic acid and vitamin e help stabilize it too, lots of factors involved.

      @@ArsalanAspires Dr. Arsalan, I have a follow up question if you don't mind? I've been looking at my options for a vitamin c serum and I have seen that the Inkey List vitamin c serum, while it is a high percentage, it doesn't have a PH since it is waterless. They recommend mixing it with a serum or moisturizer, their Omega Water Cream is my favourite and it has a PH of 5. Will the vitamin c still be effective when mixed with this moisturizer?

      Individuals who are taking blood pressure-lowering medications, such as ACE inhibitors, nitrates, or other vasodilators, should be cautious about incorporating beetroot juice. A combination of both can lead to an excessive drop in blood pressure, which can result in dizziness, or other adverse effects. I would consult with your healthcare provider first, and monitor your blood pressure levels.

      You've done an amazing job by doing just that. So give yourself a pat on the back for that. I would speak to your doctor about your neuropathy symptoms, that is a different area of concern with its own etiology. I have spoken about neuropathy in my other videos however.

      @@ArsalanAspires Thanks I appreciate it and I will look up your videos on neuropathy as my doctor’s either say it will just keep spreading which seems to be the case but once I lost my weight they said you can keep it where it is if you keep your sugar down yet it isn’t working for me. They never give you a plan as to what to eat etc. I did all my own research just on line.

      Sounds like you're using way too many products with salicylic acid in them. You only really need one. Otherwise you run the risk of over exfoliating. Purging can occur when using BHA's because it's the acids nature to encourage and increase cell turn over. Your skin barrier may be damaged as well and sometimes that can manifest as small pimples.
      I'm not a professional and I am not speaking for Dr. Arsalan, but I speak from experience of having over exfoliated which ruined my skin barrier- use one product that has SA in it. For one week, use only a gentle cleanser and a gentle non active moisturizer and see how your skin feels afterwards. Then you can introduce ONE product with SA in it 2-3 times a week.

      Yes, pomegranates really grow in a few places and in certain times of the year. On top of that, depending on the source, they have to be transported far as well as storage.
