Rugby is better with a good Australia team. As an englishman I think for a long time you've been our biggest rivals across hemispheres. We've both gone through a pretty big rough patch with our teams recently but I hope we can both thrive in the future so I can look forward to more spirited matches!
Hope the Wallabies can have a resurgence. World rugby needs a strong Australia.

As an Aussie, and close student of game, the selection of totally untried W Skelton as Captain in RWC squad was just one of Eddie's many crazy decisions in 2023. Skelton turned out ok as Captain but there were at least 4 better options. The major issue was Eddie's selection of 11 players that clearly did not deserve RWC selection while other much better and experienced players were discarded (ie Hooper, Samu, Lonergan, Lolesio, Ikitau etc etc). Eddie countered he was going for youth and building for 2027. But analysis showed the alleged younger players he picked were mostly older than those discarded (like much older). Knowledgable WB fans predicted WBs would not progress from their pool as soon as we saw Eddie's rubbish squad.
