- Japan and Mexico played in the opening round of the 2023 Little League World Series. Japan entered the game with a 1-0 record at the LLWS, while this was the first game for Mexico.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for high quality sports content, then this is the channel for you! I’ve covered Baseball (NCAA, LLWS, MLB), Football (NCAA, NFL), Softball (NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), and much more!
The best part of my work as a UA-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

This umpire did a pretty good job. Lets give them props if we're gonna roast them when they suck
Valid statement
This international bracket looks competitive. Even Australia and the Czech Republic look like they have a good team
Japan is always so freaking good! good job NIPPON
Wonder why the umpires do not require Japan's players to stay in the batters box? They crowd the plate which is smart, but there is a limit, its called a batter's box!
It's only illegal if your foot is entirely outside the box when you hit the ball. As in, not even touching the line at all. That's actually pretty hard to do no matter how much you crowd the plate. They're definitely cutting it close and the umps should be watching but I didn't see any clear violations.
@@sntslilhlpr6601 Yup this.
@@sntslilhlpr6601How can you tell, by the 2nd inning the chalk lines were gone.
@@A-FrameWedgewell how can you tell they were out of the batters box?
It goes both way no?
Were they out of the batters box?
Are you saying they were cheating?
Good Job 👍 Japan 🇯🇵 ⚾🏆
In hindsight, Cuba did very well defensively and on the mound in that opening round game - they just really struggled to hit the curve.
They're more used to dealing with missiles

Thank you
Thanks bud
🐐
I hope your pillow is cold when u go to sleep rn
You the man wheels!
Thx brotha!
Suerte con México a México 🇲🇽 lo llevo en mi ❤️
Still waiting to see Wheels get to 440K!! Congrats Japan!
Japanese starting pitcher looks so similar to Yu Darvish!
How Japan worked that play in the bottom of the 1st *chefs kiss* Mexico got greedy
Viva México🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Thank you Wheels
The 2nd baseman for Mexico needs to chill with his throws lol
Viva México cabrones
Thx, Wheels.
2:25 isn’t it an out if you hunt with a foot out of the batters box?
Very disappointed in Mexico. Thought they would put up a good fight.
Esta vez les vi fallas en muchos aspectos. Espero que mejoren en sus próximos partidos.
Manyana... always manyana...
Baseball ain’t for Mexicans straight up y’all try to compete with other sports just to be relatable and competitive I respect that, but just stay with football
@@MrKillaDonut they can barely even win in soccer as well. Their boxers ain't like they used to be as well. Genetics ain't on their side
@@MrKillaDonutthey just got 3rd place in the wbc, they’ve had very notable boxers, just had a mexican-american nba champ like 2 years ago💀
did anybody not notice how much japan was stepping over the batter's box line? plenty of batters
So I guess you can just stand on the plate now. What is this?!
as long as your foot isnt touching outside the line its 100 percent legal
First baseman for México needs better foot placement, or else hes gonna end up stepped on and with a broken ankle
This game helped with my afternoon nap.
As a Mexican, this game helped reduce my screen time!
Fr tho, Japan was the better team but don’t look as strong. Chinese Taipei taking it all this year
@@sergiov9441 Chinese Taipei definitely is looking strong. I am not sure what teams can compete with that team when it comes down to pitching. El Segundo has a chance, but at times their pitching has been a bit shaky as well.
@@Rockyinlp Apparently South Korea beat them to get into the LLWS but under protest and got DQ'd for adding 2 players to roster
@@Dr.Acula76 I heard something like that. I heard something along the lines that they had used kids from out of the area and the kids weren't from just one league.
Japan wins wbc and LLWS will be a dream 😍
It's gonna happen whenever there's a WBC
It was this year
Will never forget Ohtani vs Trout for the final out. The baseball gods are good to us.
Si leban adAr delen duro
Several of the pitches that hit Japan batters were over the plate. They leaned in to get hit by the pitch. Umpires should call that and tell manager this is not honorable or fair play by Little league standards.
Taking one for the team, is kinda hereditary 🇯🇵
Lot of walks caused this to be a long game. Could be one of the weaker Mexico teams.
Yep last year’s Mexico team was really solid. This one not so much
did we all see the catcher setting up 2 feet outside of the plate? What the hell rules is that team playing by?
Let's go mexico
6:22 if he didnt sweep the plate he was safe
Japans on peds someone test these kids lol
Too bad ESPN plus doesn’t show the LLWS I’m leaving Disney Hulu ESPN +
Let’s go GOONIES west region champions EL SEGUNDO, CA.
go Japan!!! beat hawaii
Where did they find this home plate umpire? Someone should have shown him what a strike zone is.
What bad calls did he make? Seemed fine to me.
Head leaning over the plate for HPB, and then a couple of curveballs inside for strikes…other then that he was decent @@isaiahrosner3780
@@isaiahrosner37806:42 is pretty bad
No competition at all. Japan is way ahead of their league Japan has history with baseball Mexico doesn’t have shit they just started pick up the sport to stay relatable.
CANT STAND SOME OF THESE STRIKE ZONES SO BAD LOL IDC IF IT IS LL
Valieron verga
The Japanese players were standing on the home plate , horrible umpire
Why’d the kids from Japan leave their bats on the walk? So selfish 😭
No se le ve nada a México chale:(
Bad control from the Mexico pitchers and some bad IQ decisions
japan, way to crowd the plate and shrink the strikezone. 6:31, the batter has his hands over the middle of the plate. throw one down the middle high in the strikezone and it hits the batter, even though it is a strike. umping atrocious as always.
4:39 the batter's front foot is touching home plate when he gets hit by the pitch
Como siempre las elecciones mexicanas haciendo puras vergüenzas en la mayoría de deportes
eduardo perez is the worst announcer in sports
Ni sangre mexicana tienen esos, no juegan con garras la verdad
Mexico lost unspoil blocker
Did they make the fences longer? I remember kids just blasting homers all the time in llws
