It was but it was also the 2nd best homerun robbery of the series. That gal from Oklahoma made an even better one the next freaking day. These girls are getting better every year, a lot of fun to watch imo!
@@TornadoCatcher I have to respectfully disagree, Mudge's one was quite a bit more difficult and also saved the game from being lost by a run rule, so the stakes were much higher. But the OU one in game 2 was amazing too. I love homerun robs! Both teams are full of incredibly talented women no matter what, though.
@@HB-ey2dkJayda Coleman had to jump higher on that one so it isn’t hard it was just pressure for the other girl
Lots of outstanding plays in this tournament. The two best in my opinion was Mudge taking the home run away that would’ve ended the game in Oklahoma‘s favor with a great leaping catch above the wall, and when Coleman took the ball off of the centerfield wall and threw Harding out at second. It wasn’t even close.
You missed the unbelievable catch from the OU girl going onto Stanfords dugout to get the foul ball.
There was question by fans on how fair that was, since the ball visibly went out of play. That’s probably why it wasn’t included here.
That happened Against Clemson, in the super regional.

I’ve been watching women’s softball for years now. This year‘s college World Series has to be one of the best I’ve watched in years. It was certainly competitive. Stanford’s freshman pitcher, Canady, was incredible. I don’t recall seeing anyone throw as hard and as accurate as she does. When she gets her change up fully developed, she’s going to be very difficult to beat. She is certainly going to be fun to watch the next few years. Tennessee and Florida State both fielded outstanding teams. FSU gave Oklahoma all they wanted as did Stanford. College softball has definitely come a long way the last 20 years. Looking forward to next year‘s tournament. Hopefully I’ll be able to get tickets.
Watching the ladies play fast pitch is every bit as exciting as any baseball game
These are all great plays, but they left out literally the greatest play of the entire series, and that was when Cydney Sanders of OU dove into the dugout to catch that foul ball. Nothing that any of these other plays did compared to that. I can’t believe it wasn’t included in this compilation.
that was in super regionals and not the world series so thats why its not included. but that was an amazing play.
Coleman’s robbery was the best, as it literally was the difference in winning or losing the second championship game.
It was simply a better play if you take the situation out of it. Add the situation and its even a more bigtime play.

1:01 our 3rd basemen did that but there were no runners so it wasn't a double play
the commentator always messes up all the names on fsu. im not sure why she does commentary on their games.

Best college softball world series I have ever seen. I've been watching it since they were just televising the championship game only. The Sooners are the best team to ever to play the game. Looking forward to next season when they go for 4 in a row!
It was a really good series if you include the whole tournament, not just the final two teams.
