I'm catching the boat to Geelong on Thursday and picking up my bike then taking it back on the boat, then I'll be riding it for about four hours from the top to the bottom of Tassie, can't wait 😁🥳💥⚓🏍🥳😊

I need to do bar end mirrors on the W800 cafe. may be when i see money again. 38 degrees, ugh. we have 95 plus degree days with high humidity and on black tarmac, its that much worse. thats why i like winter, no bugs and no sweating. thanks for the call out.
ALL Derek's fault! He complained there wasn't much sugar in the packets as I was pouring my first one in thinking to myself, this sugar looks a bit odd.... Took a closer look! It was Derek that got the "sugar" from the counter, but in his defense there were 2 jars, one with brown sugar and one with these white packets in.... Bless him 😅... Nice to see out out and about, trying to muster the energy myself, feeling a bit crook.
What's your take on the shock absorbers of Super Meteor driving on little rougher roads? I have heard they are a bit too hard and people complain about lower back pain from riding it.
Mirrors look great. Love mine. Wasn't going to mention text position on end caps in previous vid as I thought that may be normal "down under" 😆 I wonder if your mirrors cleared customs because they are using X-ray vision 😋 Bike sounds very nice by the way. Cheers 🍻
Gotta be careful this time of year ABD, about to go for ride last week and shook 3 big spiders out of my helmet. U don't want 1 of those big hairy buggers appearing on the inside of your visor at speed...instant cure for constipation that's for sure. Like the mirrors and I wouldn't mention words like "stoned" after that package vid😅.
Oh yeah those huntsman spiders are everywhere lol, I remember once felt something crawl over my face when I was sleeping, turned light on an realised it was a plat size huntsman 😱 You’re right no mention of stones advisable 😂
Hey ABD would swap a bit of muggy weather for the cold of the UK. I put Stadium bar ends on my SM, love them. Makes a difference not having the mirror stalks in front of you. Much cleaner view. I have the interstellar green and have the removed the rear seat and replaced it with the finisher. The mirrors contribute to a bit of a bobber vibe I think.

On standard handle bars in the RE SM you can't do this with RE Barend Mirrors as they will hit the tank. On Apes... There is a chance you could get away with it or after market for sure you would find something.
Being pretty wide I do have a few issues with my stock mirrors on the Himmy, have to duck a bit which is annoying! (When did my test on the sv650, ugh the one bike was a nightmare). Weather picking up a bit here in Uk but waiting a bit to do any real riding. (Sorting out how to stick up a tarp).
Hello... Do you have experience with RE's interceptor and Conti? Is the Super Meteor a step up in quality (I'm talking maintainance and repair stuff) compared to the interceptor?
No sorry mate never owned the interceptor or continental,, but the super meteor uses the same engine as those 2 and it’s a bloody good motor tried and tested. The super meteor is more refined and more attention to detail 👍
Great video! Mate, glad you like the Barend Mirrors. Phew! 😂 They look awesome on your bike and what a nice branded feature to the bike. Bonus is they provide so much more than Mickey Mouse mirrors. I can't imagine riding a bike without them! Might be time in the future for an update walk around your bike with all the cool adds you have invested in. Love how every vid shows just how enjoyable and usable the power and enjoyment of the RE SM 650 is. It really does hit a sweet spot and one I personally love! Stay safe Mate!

Yes, the view is much better with the bar end mirrors, surprisingly. They are not just a cosmetic improvement but also a genuine safety improvement. Glad you are happy with them on a Super Meteor too. Definitely my top mod for the Meteor 350, these are. Not cheap but worth it. The SM is sounding sweet mate 👍🏻. I really need to have a go on my dealer's new demonstrator SM Celestial if he still has it by the time I finally get better ! Yeah, hopefully I can get healthy before they sell their new SM, that’s what I’m worried about ! 🤞 I think I am slowly getting better but it is taking a long time because living on my own, I can’t just rest up, like you’re supposed to, I have to keep on doing my normal stuff regardless. So all I can do is avoid the additional ( usually fun ! ) stuff, which is what I’m doing, and obviously I go back to bed if I start feeling tired 😴 With Ruby’s help I think I could be more or less healthy by the end of the week 🤞 Send me some mangoes mate. Thanks for the test drive of the mirrors, still not sure I like the look of them over MMs. Temps here have been mid 30s and 90+ humidity, wierd weather for top of the mountains.
Where were you again Colin? Yeah it’s been ridiculous this weather… good thing is we can always put the mms back on in about 10 minutes Or ride around with both 😂😂😂
Was never a lover of the bar end, due to them being on the end of your bars, and more liable to breaking. But certainly give you a much better vision, which is what ya want! The bike is just purring along, sounds great. Hope you are all good, brother.😊
@@aussiebikerdude6563 I went out on it last week. Did a wee video, from where I parked up. Sunny today, what it’s lunch time now, so too late to get organised. Apparently Friday is sunny, so will set alarm, as I tend to watch UA-cam till 3/4 am. lol then get up on lunch time.
Mate took mine out this morning for a ride. 37 degrees with 90% humidity up in Cairns . Bloody so hot n uncomfortable but still good to get out on the SM
@@aussiebikerdude6563 yeah we had the cyclone than floods n lots of weekends with rain so the first time I've been gor a proper ride for about 5wks. So yes hot as hell but still good to get out on the beast. Hopefully my new verex slipon mufflers arrive soon n the next ride will be with them. Bar end mirrors are now on the list as well

But the roads here are pretty good…I’m lucky
