I love how it's a combo of old western, with just echos of techno in it. Like it's supposed to be a cowboy dungeon, but the songs reminding you, hey man there's robots in these here parts....
Such a unique Destiny track, and the Western style in game hits especially well when the tumbleweed goes across and there is just one lone vex standing
That art combined with that shot is so well done. And what a superbly fresh blend you did with the audio, 6:18 especially was a treat! I’d be very interested to hear versions that utilize the percussion layers and maybe even High Action versions. ;)
@@Myrzir ahhh makes sense. I listened to the destiny OST uploads channel and I have to agree they were super drowned out. Question: Did you use a tool to artificially suppress the percussion tracks, or are they naturally multitrack?
@@fridgegaming1544 Although I do have tools for separating layers into stems, Most, if not ALL of D2's are already multitrack. Percussion is usually on it's own, & the rest are usually on 3 different layers.
@@fridgegaming1544 Sadly I'm not able to share the individual files for, y'know, legal reasons. But the Destiny Model Rips & Last City Radio discords are great places to learn how to rip the music for yourself.
Omitted until the last section, akin to delayed gratification. The lack of percussion brings it into line with the intro and tension areas. Creating a more personal, stripped back feel. Orchestration and melodies, laid bare.

Man, the lack of percussion for the beginning of the Persys fight theme is sick. That sort of hard push then draw back to silence is dope.

The percussion layers were drowning out everything else. Only included a light layer near the end.
