i think 70k is reasonable with its high roof and pre-build interior plus 4WD which is excellent for cross countries tour. you save time, save energy, save money on self-build trial & error and local authority approval grant (although i love to self-build my own unit). Design might not be up to trend but refurbish-able. Congrats Steven Kok. hope to meet up one day to share more.
Agak mahal tu,kami kat Sabah, hanya convert second van hiace jd campervan.hanya mengekalkan road tax persendirian.lain2 hal x kisah, jika ada JPJ,elak2 jelah..tp stakat ni,rilex je guna...

I like the head room that you can actually stand up inside the van. It seems like a well maintained van with all the nice amenities. Those looks like quality build and Toyota is going to last you for a while
rm70k. range price for 4wd hiace around 15k-20k..plus repair the engine if condition not to good around 10k..and the interior depends what u like..costly 20k-30k will be great..my opinion..if u DIY the camper van..u can save the cost around 10k-20k..
Hi Info Aptb, You are right about cost wise for engine repairs and in total for this purchase may end up above Rm100K Building your own can also cost more in the long run -DIY campers that completely remove all seats etc require proper plans that have to first be submitted for approval before proceeding. That is why we never removed our seats in Vanhalen nor did we make a permanent fixture within the van. Is a good idea to always -check with JPJ for the rules before embarking on a DIY project. :)

@@24hourtravellers yup..thats the problems..the Malaysia laws too strict...i think many Malaysian likes to make their own campervan.
All fine but need to modify a little to accommodate a shower/toilet system but other than that it is great and finishing is great too.

Yes big catching up to do.

We haven't test driven one. Not sure about being tippy.

Pooh Vintage good question 😂
how did you make high top for the van?
This is imported from Japan. These are the Toyota Hiace cAmpervans being sold there. You can bring it in without an AP.

Custom builded for high roof?
Phillip Goh this isn't a custom build. It's a Toyota Hiace campervan.
