Dear Agadmator, beside all the nice job you do, I'm impressed by the richness of your English vocabulary and by the effort you do in choosing accurately any word. Thank you.
#agadmator, the live tweets were so interesting! I understand it takes some research to put them in a game but the value it added to the video is really immeasurable!! So could you keep it up please, at least for the famous games where the great chess players keep following the matches live and keep tweeting?
@agadmator I've been following you with the notifications since a long time. Man you have evolved into an awesome UA-camr. Providing knowledge & entertainment at the same time. Today I've played a Chess tournament in my city and although I lost in the semis, i beat 1 player who's 2200 Elo. Every move i made was learnt from this channel & i am proud of it although I lost the championship. Thank you 👌🏻 Sir.
As a very begginer, I'm just entering the chess community and your videos make this process delightful. I know that Carlsen won the championship, but still I'm enyoing these series as if the result is unknown. Very instructive for increasing my vast knowledge!
The way I see it, Carlsen plays beginning and middle game simply to make sure going into the end game his opponent either doesn’t have an advantage, or if he does it’s slight (both in pieces remaining and position). Because in the endgame, when there are less pieces yet more space to move, his brain goes into ultra instinct. It amazes me every time, it’s like he makes his move knowing how his opponent SHOULD counter until they don’t make the right move, and then knocks them out, where they realize several moves later and wonder where it all went wrong... good example is here with vishy and his move 40
with the documentary about Carlsen's life I got that the pause between game 4 and game 5 was for him really important mentally. Before he was dropping pieces..after was really comfortable
Hey Agad... I played an almost immortal game today... And I want to say thanks.. I learned a lot from your videos! P. S. I'm a 1500ish player and my opponent was around 1480. The game had inaccuracies but I am happy anyway.
I love those comments from the Grandmasters as the game is being played. Agadamator is right. Carlsen forces opponents to play the correct move and if they don't Carlsen will evaluate, find the weakness and exploit it.
7:22 Maybe Carlsen should've played Kd6; C pawn prevents king from capturing, and after black bishop takes the C pawn, go Kb7? I may be wrong but that would've saved the knight?
I have a suggestion that might be able to do the impossible. Yes, this suggestion might make your game analysis discussions even better. Here's the suggestion: While you are describing a line of moves a player could have made but didn't, change the board color slightly to communicate that you're in imaginary mode. That small visual difference would make it easier to follow for less experienced chess enthusiasts.
Sort of new to chess; Loving your videos... Thank you! What's the next time I can watch a chess tournament live while also seeing the live commentary -on Twitter or elsewhere? (today is 29 Oct 2018)
12:00 King goes to B1 instead of C4. When the rook takes bishop the king goes to A2 and he's safe from any more checks or the pawn advancing... ? If the black king approaches to do anythng there e5-e6 (discovered check) and that pawn will queen before black can do anything? Am I wrong? Considering I'm drunk right now! :P
Both of them had 3 pawn islands around the 6 minute mark and Annad did have the advantage with the Bidhop pair but as i said for years he is always intimiated when playing with Carlsen for some reason, cost him his title.
16...KK2 struck me as suicidal: blocking in his dark Bishop, which could have been brought out by...BN4, pinning the KP against the White King - and finally: throwing Castling privileges completely overboard.
Touching and hanging on to a piece is annoying : it leads to arguments. It's the second most annoying thing in chess. The most annoying : smoking a cheap cigar while playing...
Why is this rule invented? Because that's a "discipline" rule to prevent players from "playing" with the pieces while thinking. You want the board to remain static as long as nobody is making a move, so that both player can think without being disturbed by a stressed opponent that move pieces in randomly while thinking. Additional reason to keep it? In a world without this rule, here is a strategy you could use: take a piece, fake to intend a move, look at your opponent face, and backtrack. So it would add (or significantly increase) the "bluff" part of the game, which is not a insignificant change.
The Agincourt Defence against the English? It didn't work for the French in 1415 and it didn't work for Anand in 2013.
The level of wit contained in this comment warms my heart.
I thought 1..e6 was actually called the French. In an e4 game.
In Agincourt the French were attacking though :)
@@Octavian999
Agincourt Defense is very useless against the Queen, Knights and Black Square Bishops though.

I always use the Agincourt Defense when I was a Beginner and had an ELO of 700 a long time ago.

Carlsen will be on Avenger's Infinity War 2. He will definitely wins the end game.
He'll challenge thanos in a game of chess, win and then that somehow saves the universe.
@FURY
If Carlsen was in Avengers, he would've made Thor gone for Thanos' head.
Sorry, but your prediction failed. Shame on you
I was ur 500th like lol
Well played
Giri was surprised Carlsen went with the sharpest line because Giri himself would probably have suggested a draw after like 5 or so moves...

Adding the Tweets from other pro's was a stroke of genius.

why the "touch rule" is invented and why is still on ?
