Points of interest throughout the series that I feel could connect with the plot of Saw X: Saw 6 - John Kramer talks to William Easton about an experimental procedure from a Doctor in Norway, after being denied coverage John announces that money is not an issue for him. We see in the Saw X commercial that he pays 250K probably without coverage from Umbrella Health. Also we see from the Saw X commercial that Dr. Cecilia Pederson from the Pederson Project is based from Norway but operates through her International Outreach Programs. This appears to be the same organization that Umbrella Health denied coverage for. Saw 5 - John Kramer says to Hoffman in a flashback before the events of saw 3. "I need you to set up a game, it may not be entirely clear to you right now. But I assure you that the people being tested are part of something much larger, their connected, so in the end all the pieces will fit together and it'll be clear." At the end of Saw 5 the victims all discovered they were connected from an Abandoned building fire, Mallick (the one who caught the building on fire) said he was given an ounce of heroin from a "dealer" to burn the building down and that the dealer just disappeared after the FBI got involved. Who is this dealer and how did he just disappear? Saw 4 - In a flashback scene Art Blank(Jill tucks lawyer and Johns business associate) talks to John about some Buildings they were working on. "Listen John I gotta tell ya you know those buildings we're working on" "You take em, you give my share to Jill" John says "That's not the way it works John, you see we're partners. Your designs are what make those buildings special, we have 40 families ready to move in, 40 families John. Low income families." Says Art. John then tells art Blank to GTFO, This tells us that John was involved with the designs and building of some sort of apartment complex. Saw 3 - John tells Amanda in the scene before his brain surgery to go get the envelope with her name on it. "There are some things I need you to do for me, in my desk in the center drawer, an envelope with your name on it." this is the envelope that Hoffman left detailing Amanda's involvement in the death of Johns child. When Amanda opens the envelope she pulls out multiple pieces of paper but we only ever see Hoffman put his own note inside the envelope, why would John tell Amanda to get this envelope? Does it imply that John already knows of Amanda's involvement in the death of his child and that Hoffman's betrayal is already accounted for in his grand game? Could this explain the after credit scene of Saw 6 when Amanda tells Jeff's daughter not to trust the man who saves her? If so it would imply that John is already aware of Hoffman's betrayal before his death, hence the tape covered in wax and saw 4 opening. Saw 1 - The fire alarm that Detective tapp hears on the footage could be the fire from the abandoned building referenced in saw 5? Could this be one of the abandoned apartment complexes that John Kramer and Art Blank were working on together? Conclusion - These points of interest indicate to me that all of John Kramer's subjects are connected in some overarching plot that I don't believe has truly been revealed to us yet. I believe that the twist of Saw X will be the reveal of John Kramer's Grand Game.
Regarding the “Doctor in Norway,” I am under the impression that it will be retconned that John in that Saw 6 flashback is referring to Finn Pederson, who is mentioned on the site of the Pederson project. The idea here fits exactly what you said about them being from the same organization. Everything you outlined here adds up, love it.
As much as I would love for there to be some grand connected reveal twist as you mentioned, I just don’t have any faith in these writers to even begin to connect those dots. By this point, it’s just wayyy too convoluted for the average movie goer. Asking them to remember very specifically, vague details from multiple sequel movies is just too much. This will ultimately be a character piece about John and Amanda’s relationship and likely shed more light on psyche revelations about their roles in the games.
@@JaredK511 To be fair, even Leigh Whanell said on record “Oh, you missed/don’t remember that scene? That’s on you.” He knows his series can be hard to follow, and he embraces it. That’s the biggest reason I love the series, it’s a complex narrative, and that makes it such a fun ride and it’s fun to piece it all together in order.

Awesome content! So, I have a question about the Seth Baxter trap we see in the opening of Saw 5 that we later find out was a trap made by Det. Mark Hoffman. If this game predates the events in Saw 1, and the Barn trap in Jigsaw/Saw 8 was never found, then what games did Hoffman base that trap on (i.e. the Billy the puppet video)? My theory is this, in Saw 1 we see Det. Tapp looking at all the news articles posted on the wall of his home, which means Jigsaw was operating solo for some time before the events of Saw 1, or at least he was working alongside Logan (the first apprentice that we know of). Also, several games/murders would have to take place for the news and media to coin the name 'Jigsaw Killer'. Knowing this we can speculate that Det. Mark Hoffman investigated other murder scenes/games that Jigsaw, and Logan, may have did (regardless of what the FBI files say about Cecil being the first Jigsaw victim, in Saw 5, because that may have been when the FBI began their investigation). That being said other games, that we have yet to see, could have occurred that gave Det. Hoffman his idea for Seth's trap. What are your thoughts? Another observation I had, was in Saw 5 when Jigsaw is recruiting Det. Hoffman, Jigsaw states "like you...I know what it's like to lose a loved one". At that time all we know about is Jigsaw's unborn child Gideon, but could this also be a reference to his dead nephew that we hear about in Jigsaw/Saw 8? Keep up the awesome content!
The ending of the original film was and is one of the best wtf moments ever. Where kraemer gets up after being on the ground for the entire movie and says game over and locks in a screaming ryan and escapes with Dr Gordon.

Yes, but Hoffman swapped a letter from John with his own. The unanswered question was what was in the original letter John wrote for her, not what was in the letter she read.
Tobin Bell wrote a letter as if it was from John, and I think the fandom just accepts it as canon. I think it says how he put money aside for Amanda so she can leave the games and him behind and be at peace; it’s very sweet.
The Brad and Ryan thing made more sense in the original script where that trap took place not long after Saw 1 when John is training/indoctrinating Doctor Gordon as they were in the crowd watching it
How did Hoffman know Amanda was there with Cecil? If it was via security camera, wouldn’t John have immediately thought to review it as well? He’s way too smart not to. If Mark knew, John knew too for sure. Also, why weren’t the names of the random victims we saw in Saw 3D (like the girl on the tv and lawnmower game) not on the list Strahm was reviewing in Saw 5 as he was visiting each crime scene? Clearly there were others dispersed throughout the timeline of when those games took place that the police knew about. That was definitely an oversight or lack of foresight on the writers because that list made it seem like a definitive list of all known games played up until that point.
The general consensus is that Hoffman knew bc he was a detective and he most likely watched security tapes, and also it’s generally accepted that John knew about it and that’s the real reason she was tested in the first movie. None of this is confirmed obviously but it makes sense.

One thing that came to my mind the other day was the guy battling Art Blank in Saw IV. As we know Dr Gordon was the one stitching his eyes, so i assume he was the one executing/arranging that game. Same with Detective Hoffman kidnapping Officer Rigg (since Kramer and Amanda were busy doing their own game with Jeff and Lynn). But the winner of the mausoleum game (Art) was still part of Rigg's trial which was supervised by Hoffman. How come Hoffman and Dr Gordon never knew of each other? Or atleast how could Dr Gordon have stayed hidden from Hoffman if he provided the stitched-eye guy for Hoffman's game on Officer Rigg (when they were the only two apprentices at that time)?

Brad and Ryan helping Dr. Gordon at the end of Saw 3D also makes sense given that in the script for the movie, the opening trap with Brad and Ryan was supposed to be witnesses by John and Dr. Gordon, during John's indoctrination of Gordon.

I am one that by this point does not buy that those two pigheads were Brad and Ryan. It may have been fine back when Saw 7 was the final film, but now it just doesn’t work. The fact that the films don’t actually reveal who they are is what matters, not the commentary as you said, should be taken with a grain of salt, I always point to Saw 1’s commentary, they said then that Gordon died, but six films later he’s alive. I never fully bought the commentary’s answer to begin with because it already is difficult enough to come up why Dr. Gordon would join Kramer, as the film didn’t reveal why he joined. That alone pokes a massive hole in the idea that Brad and Ryan, who are two random victims that had less screen time than Amanda or Hoffman or even Logan before their respective reveals, would agree to helping Gordon after everything they went through. The thing with Logan is what is revealed with him actually does make a solid case now to reveal that he was one of the pigheads. “10 years ago, I came out of the war a broken man. Jigsaw put the pieces of my life back together.” These are his exact words at the end of Jigsaw. This means his test was AFTER he was at war, not before it like some people think. His PTSD clearly affected him, causing him to be careless, mix up the x-rays, then be tested. So this in turn means his full role in Saws 1-7 is an open question and completely allows up for him to be one of the pigheads. He also has the proper motivation, as we see what he did to Edgar Munsen after he killed his wife, no reason to think he wouldn’t react the same way when Hoffman killed Jill. So what we’re given in Jigsaw provides enough evidence to conclude that one of those pigheads is Logan. So the last question in turn becomes, “who is the last one?” [Crazy laugh] Well, I have a theory about Gordon and the two pigheads that does provide an answer that honestly if a sequel is never made to Jigsaw, it still works. In short, my theory is John had two sets of apprentices: the duo of Amanda and Hoffman as the successors, and a trio of observers, their purpose being to observe the succesors, only interact with main games if John explicitly needed them, and when one of the two succesors was tested, if they survived and continued to stray away from John’s ideas, the observers would take action. This in turn means that John’s message to Gordon was both a reminder of this and a thank you to Gordon. The idea also is that only John and possibly Jill knew about this trio, and the “secrets” John mentions in his video for Gordon could include revealing the other two pigheads by name. My theory uses the above evidence in Jigsaw to conclude this trio includes Lawrence and Logan. So who is the last one according to this theory? This might sound far-fetched, but knowing the kind of crazy twists the franchise is known for, my theory is it was… Eleanor Bonneville. Why? Well the guess/potential twist (that’s definitely still possible for a Jigsaw sequel) is that Eleanor being a “Jigsaw fangirl” is a cover-up, the truth is she, like Logan, was an early test subject that was unknown. The idea is she was tested and escaped, possibly Hoffman found the scene, and didn’t report it so he could use the puppet in the game to make his fake trap for Seth. Even if Eleanor is in her mid-30’s in the events of Jigsaw, she’s still in her 20’s during the events of Saw 1, so it still doesn’t contradict her age. So the idea here is she was tested, and similar to Amanda, she saw John’s teachings as a good thing, and thus he recruited her. This also fits Logan’s line of “She’ll be my abili,” her being in on it absolutely works there. Her reason for going after Hoffman would in turn be because he strayed to far away from John’s teachings, she would want to put an end to it. Realize that no one that captured Hoffman in Saw 7 knew until they found him that he was not planning any more games, all they knew is he killed Jill and lots of others, so Eleanor would want to ensure that if there were future games, that John’s ideas are executed properly. So how does this all sound? It might be convoluted and crazy, but it all fits into what the series is famous for, and if there never is a Jigsaw 2, this theory still can work.
I've never believed that it was Brad and Ryan the directors have lied in the past to keeps things a secret and they could have just said that because they thought the series was done since it was only in the commentary it wouldn't hurt the series to change it. I dont consider Dr Gordon to be an apprentice, or at least a full time apprentice.. He is more like an asset (how Kramer named him) Kind of a wild card to keep the other apprentices in check from behind the lines, and to have an extra plus for certain games that required a doctor's aid. I mean this because of him just needed to act on jigsaws behalve after jill died, as she was most important to Kramer, and Kramer also knowing Hoffman would do anything to purify his name, and him thinking he had full control just was wrong. He never was an active apprentice, He basically ended the main series without knowledge of a remaining apprentice, hoffman supposedly died in the bathroom, and normal life returned.. That is what it was suppsoed to be, he took vengeance in the name of Kramer.. And if anything probably the only one with the closest vision as kramer after he escaped, or at least with the things both Amanda and Hoffman lacked.

Yep I bring this up all the time and people just say Amanda killed him and I say the same thing it takes way longer to suffocate he got hit on the toilet then Amanda felt bad and confused and stopped. Plus the shackle on the wrong foot twice the body's had to have been switched also John always had photos of people taken in a similar format that Adam uses Adam could have filled the photographer role. Also in saw 3 when Amanda says she's a murder John says I cleaned up your mess plural meaning Mathers and Adam. He most likely knew she rigged the game and that it wasn't fair just like he saved Logan because it wasn't fair because he never woke up so he saved Adam because the game wasn't played the way he wanted it to be Amanda therew the key on his chest instead of around him John knew his game was tampered with. Also have to remember that Adam is severely dehydrated and hungry, as well as breathing in the smell of decomposing bodies which would all play a huge factor on his overall respiratory system. Also he smashed his head on the toilet which would send him into a panic and massively increase his tidal volume and make him lose consciousness quicker.

Honestly? I assume John knew about Amanda being at the murder of his child. He knew all of this other stuff about random people, so it just makes sense that he would've known about Amanda, considering she was pretty close with him.
This letter thing is really interesting, I hope that creators won't forget to explain it somehow sooner or later😆 I think the new Saw movie will leave us with more questions than answers😆 And I can't wait for the new plot twist

I think one of my bigger questions about John’s body is why was there one? It’s in the news in one of the prior films - Five, maybe? - that Jigsaw had his ashes spread earlier that day. Did I miss a comment in “Jigsaw” that it was false info to keep people from vandalizing his grave or something?
Hoffman may come out of the bathroom. But he won't be able to escape, since Brad and Ryan will be there. Or maybe Dr. Gordon sees him through the camera in the bathroom. Maybe there are sensors alerting him that Hoffman is coming out of the bathroom. But there is a possibility that Gordon uses Hoffman to set up the traps. Of course Hoffman would have to carry Art's mechanism, if he does anything against the rules, Hoffman dies. But knowing Hoffman, he will find another way to get out.
I hate that the pigs were meant to be Brad and Ryan, it's too easy, it's lame. I'm glad it never happened in canon, even though it was mentioned in the director's commentary. I always kind of chose to ignore that since it's not technically something that was outright stated canonly, like you said. It is something that could be easily ret-conned and I think it would be so much cooler for it to be Adam and Logan. Years back, I actually made a whole video about my theory of it being Adam and Logan alongside Lawrence, due to height discrepancies in the pigs that led to it not making sense for it to be Brad and Ryan, but made sense for it to be Adam and Logan.
Also I think the Adam actor in Saw X is sadly just going to be playing his dead body. Just in a fresher state than we’ve ever seen it before. There’s an actor dressed as Zep who’s got similar grey make up with him in one of the leaked videos

Another question I always had was what was the purpose of the first Ryan and Brad trap in Saw 3D? First of all how do you set up an intricate trap like that in public? When in the timeline did it take place? If Hoffman made it, why? I thought his last game to set up was the Saw 6 traps as per the envelops given to him from the box. He even told Jill this was the last of it, then they’re done. (Also why even bother at that point)? It’s never made explicitly clear if Hoffman enjoys or wants to continue John’s legacy? It was my understanding he sabotaged everything to be done with all this and move on? Yet he also does subtle things like reposition the small doll in the Saw 5 model to mimic the firefighter’s real position before her game begins which shows he cares about a pointless detail.

I really don’t want Adam to be alive. I’d be interested to see what they’d do with it, but I think that both victims of the original bathroom trap in SAW turning out to be apprentices would undermine the stakes that are at play in that film. I have a question about John Kramer's philosophy on life and his view on killers/murderers in the first Saw film. We all know Dr. Gordon was supposed to kill Adam by a certain time, and if he didn't, his family would die. Zepp was injected with a poison and given instructions to watch over Dr. Gordon's game, and if he failed, Zep would be the one who had to KILL Dr. Gordon's wife and daughter into order to get the antidote. In later films, he learn more about Jigsaw's view on murderers, how he "despises" them and he thinks "KILLING IS DISTASTEFUL!" If Jigsaw hates murderers, then why was Dr. Gordon's game involve him having to KILL Adam????

Points of interest throughout the series that I feel could connect with the plot of Saw X:
Saw 6 - John Kramer talks to William Easton about an experimental procedure from a Doctor in Norway, after being denied coverage John announces that money is not an issue for him. We see in the Saw X commercial that he pays 250K probably without coverage from Umbrella Health. Also we see from the Saw X commercial that Dr. Cecilia Pederson from the Pederson Project is based from Norway but operates through her International Outreach Programs. This appears to be the same organization that Umbrella Health denied coverage for.
Saw 5 - John Kramer says to Hoffman in a flashback before the events of saw 3. "I need you to set up a game, it may not be entirely clear to you right now. But I assure you that the people being tested are part of something much larger, their connected, so in the end all the pieces will fit together and it'll be clear." At the end of Saw 5 the victims all discovered they were connected from an Abandoned building fire, Mallick (the one who caught the building on fire) said he was given an ounce of heroin from a "dealer" to burn the building down and that the dealer just disappeared after the FBI got involved. Who is this dealer and how did he just disappear?
Saw 4 - In a flashback scene Art Blank(Jill tucks lawyer and Johns business associate) talks to John about some Buildings they were working on. "Listen John I gotta tell ya you know those buildings we're working on"
"You take em, you give my share to Jill" John says
"That's not the way it works John, you see we're partners. Your designs are what make those buildings special, we have 40 families ready to move in, 40 families John. Low income families." Says Art.
John then tells art Blank to GTFO, This tells us that John was involved with the designs and building of some sort of apartment complex.
Saw 3 - John tells Amanda in the scene before his brain surgery to go get the envelope with her name on it. "There are some things I need you to do for me, in my desk in the center drawer, an envelope with your name on it." this is the envelope that Hoffman left detailing Amanda's involvement in the death of Johns child. When Amanda opens the envelope she pulls out multiple pieces of paper but we only ever see Hoffman put his own note inside the envelope, why would John tell Amanda to get this envelope? Does it imply that John already knows of Amanda's involvement in the death of his child and that Hoffman's betrayal is already accounted for in his grand game? Could this explain the after credit scene of Saw 6 when Amanda tells Jeff's daughter not to trust the man who saves her? If so it would imply that John is already aware of Hoffman's betrayal before his death, hence the tape covered in wax and saw 4 opening.
Saw 1 - The fire alarm that Detective tapp hears on the footage could be the fire from the abandoned building referenced in saw 5? Could this be one of the abandoned apartment complexes that John Kramer and Art Blank were working on together?
Conclusion - These points of interest indicate to me that all of John Kramer's subjects are connected in some overarching plot that I don't believe has truly been revealed to us yet. I believe that the twist of Saw X will be the reveal of John Kramer's Grand Game.
Regarding the “Doctor in Norway,” I am under the impression that it will be retconned that John in that Saw 6 flashback is referring to Finn Pederson, who is mentioned on the site of the Pederson project. The idea here fits exactly what you said about them being from the same organization.
Everything you outlined here adds up, love it.
As much as I would love for there to be some grand connected reveal twist as you mentioned, I just don’t have any faith in these writers to even begin to connect those dots. By this point, it’s just wayyy too convoluted for the average movie goer. Asking them to remember very specifically, vague details from multiple sequel movies is just too much.
This will ultimately be a character piece about John and Amanda’s relationship and likely shed more light on psyche revelations about their roles in the games.
@@JaredK511 To be fair, even Leigh Whanell said on record “Oh, you missed/don’t remember that scene? That’s on you.” He knows his series can be hard to follow, and he embraces it. That’s the biggest reason I love the series, it’s a complex narrative, and that makes it such a fun ride and it’s fun to piece it all together in order.

Awesome content! So, I have a question about the Seth Baxter trap we see in the opening of Saw 5 that we later find out was a trap made by Det. Mark Hoffman. If this game predates the events in Saw 1, and the Barn trap in Jigsaw/Saw 8 was never found, then what games did Hoffman base that trap on (i.e. the Billy the puppet video)?
My theory is this, in Saw 1 we see Det. Tapp looking at all the news articles posted on the wall of his home, which means Jigsaw was operating solo for some time before the events of Saw 1, or at least he was working alongside Logan (the first apprentice that we know of). Also, several games/murders would have to take place for the news and media to coin the name 'Jigsaw Killer'. Knowing this we can speculate that Det. Mark Hoffman investigated other murder scenes/games that Jigsaw, and Logan, may have did (regardless of what the FBI files say about Cecil being the first Jigsaw victim, in Saw 5, because that may have been when the FBI began their investigation). That being said other games, that we have yet to see, could have occurred that gave Det. Hoffman his idea for Seth's trap. What are your thoughts?
Another observation I had, was in Saw 5 when Jigsaw is recruiting Det. Hoffman, Jigsaw states "like you...I know what it's like to lose a loved one". At that time all we know about is Jigsaw's unborn child Gideon, but could this also be a reference to his dead nephew that we hear about in Jigsaw/Saw 8? Keep up the awesome content!
The ending of the original film was and is one of the best wtf moments ever. Where kraemer gets up after being on the ground for the entire movie and says game over and locks in a screaming ryan and escapes with Dr Gordon.
I think that the 2 pigs with Dr Gordon could be a grown up Daniel Matthews from Saw 2 & Logan.

Tobin Bell wrote a letter as if it was from John, and I think the fandom just accepts it as canon. I think it says how he put money aside for Amanda so she can leave the games and him behind and be at peace; it’s very sweet.

The Brad and Ryan thing made more sense in the original script where that trap took place not long after Saw 1 when John is training/indoctrinating Doctor Gordon as they were in the crowd watching it
How did Hoffman know Amanda was there with Cecil? If it was via security camera, wouldn’t John have immediately thought to review it as well? He’s way too smart not to. If Mark knew, John knew too for sure.
Also, why weren’t the names of the random victims we saw in Saw 3D (like the girl on the tv and lawnmower game) not on the list Strahm was reviewing in Saw 5 as he was visiting each crime scene? Clearly there were others dispersed throughout the timeline of when those games took place that the police knew about. That was definitely an oversight or lack of foresight on the writers because that list made it seem like a definitive list of all known games played up until that point.
The general consensus is that Hoffman knew bc he was a detective and he most likely watched security tapes, and also it’s generally accepted that John knew about it and that’s the real reason she was tested in the first movie. None of this is confirmed obviously but it makes sense.

Adam being alive just makes so much sense tho first its not like Lawrence Gordon can take pictures of his victims and who's a photographer and made a promise to come back for him 2 the continuity errors were done twice which is a bit suspicious 3 in the DVD release John sees Amanda going back to the bathroom in an extended scene which means it was important enough to be added into the movie it just makes the most logical sense

One thing that came to my mind the other day was the guy battling Art Blank in Saw IV.
As we know Dr Gordon was the one stitching his eyes, so i assume he was the one executing/arranging that game.
Same with Detective Hoffman kidnapping Officer Rigg (since Kramer and Amanda were busy doing their own game with Jeff and Lynn).
But the winner of the mausoleum game (Art) was still part of Rigg's trial which was supervised by Hoffman.
How come Hoffman and Dr Gordon never knew of each other?
Or atleast how could Dr Gordon have stayed hidden from Hoffman if he provided the stitched-eye guy for Hoffman's game on Officer Rigg (when they were the only two apprentices at that time)?

Brad and Ryan helping Dr. Gordon at the end of Saw 3D also makes sense given that in the script for the movie, the opening trap with Brad and Ryan was supposed to be witnesses by John and Dr. Gordon, during John's indoctrination of Gordon.
I thought the person in the car that showed up that Eleanor waved down, could have possibly been Dr Gordon. Here’s the only person who would make any sense. But at the same time, it also wouldn’t really make sense at all that he was there lol. Unless he actually was helping Logan
I am one that by this point does not buy that those two pigheads were Brad and Ryan. It may have been fine back when Saw 7 was the final film, but now it just doesn’t work. The fact that the films don’t actually reveal who they are is what matters, not the commentary as you said, should be taken with a grain of salt, I always point to Saw 1’s commentary, they said then that Gordon died, but six films later he’s alive.
I never fully bought the commentary’s answer to begin with because it already is difficult enough to come up why Dr. Gordon would join Kramer, as the film didn’t reveal why he joined. That alone pokes a massive hole in the idea that Brad and Ryan, who are two random victims that had less screen time than Amanda or Hoffman or even Logan before their respective reveals, would agree to helping Gordon after everything they went through.
The thing with Logan is what is revealed with him actually does make a solid case now to reveal that he was one of the pigheads.
“10 years ago, I came out of the war a broken man. Jigsaw put the pieces of my life back together.”
These are his exact words at the end of Jigsaw. This means his test was AFTER he was at war, not before it like some people think. His PTSD clearly affected him, causing him to be careless, mix up the x-rays, then be tested. So this in turn means his full role in Saws 1-7 is an open question and completely allows up for him to be one of the pigheads. He also has the proper motivation, as we see what he did to Edgar Munsen after he killed his wife, no reason to think he wouldn’t react the same way when Hoffman killed Jill. So what we’re given in Jigsaw provides enough evidence to conclude that one of those pigheads is Logan.
So the last question in turn becomes, “who is the last one?”
[Crazy laugh] Well, I have a theory about Gordon and the two pigheads that does provide an answer that honestly if a sequel is never made to Jigsaw, it still works.
In short, my theory is John had two sets of apprentices: the duo of Amanda and Hoffman as the successors, and a trio of observers, their purpose being to observe the succesors, only interact with main games if John explicitly needed them, and when one of the two succesors was tested, if they survived and continued to stray away from John’s ideas, the observers would take action. This in turn means that John’s message to Gordon was both a reminder of this and a thank you to Gordon. The idea also is that only John and possibly Jill knew about this trio, and the “secrets” John mentions in his video for Gordon could include revealing the other two pigheads by name. My theory uses the above evidence in Jigsaw to conclude this trio includes Lawrence and Logan.
So who is the last one according to this theory? This might sound far-fetched, but knowing the kind of crazy twists the franchise is known for, my theory is it was… Eleanor Bonneville.
Why? Well the guess/potential twist (that’s definitely still possible for a Jigsaw sequel) is that Eleanor being a “Jigsaw fangirl” is a cover-up, the truth is she, like Logan, was an early test subject that was unknown. The idea is she was tested and escaped, possibly Hoffman found the scene, and didn’t report it so he could use the puppet in the game to make his fake trap for Seth. Even if Eleanor is in her mid-30’s in the events of Jigsaw, she’s still in her 20’s during the events of Saw 1, so it still doesn’t contradict her age. So the idea here is she was tested, and similar to Amanda, she saw John’s teachings as a good thing, and thus he recruited her. This also fits Logan’s line of “She’ll be my abili,” her being in on it absolutely works there. Her reason for going after Hoffman would in turn be because he strayed to far away from John’s teachings, she would want to put an end to it. Realize that no one that captured Hoffman in Saw 7 knew until they found him that he was not planning any more games, all they knew is he killed Jill and lots of others, so Eleanor would want to ensure that if there were future games, that John’s ideas are executed properly.
So how does this all sound? It might be convoluted and crazy, but it all fits into what the series is famous for, and if there never is a Jigsaw 2, this theory still can work.
I've never believed that it was Brad and Ryan the directors have lied in the past to keeps things a secret and they could have just said that because they thought the series was done since it was only in the commentary it wouldn't hurt the series to change it. I have my theories of who it is but total side characters like Brad and Ryan doesn't make enough since
I dont consider Dr Gordon to be an apprentice, or at least a full time apprentice.. He is more like an asset (how Kramer named him) Kind of a wild card to keep the other apprentices in check from behind the lines, and to have an extra plus for certain games that required a doctor's aid. I mean this because of him just needed to act on jigsaws behalve after jill died, as she was most important to Kramer, and Kramer also knowing Hoffman would do anything to purify his name, and him thinking he had full control just was wrong. He never was an active apprentice, He basically ended the main series without knowledge of a remaining apprentice, hoffman supposedly died in the bathroom, and normal life returned.. That is what it was suppsoed to be, he took vengeance in the name of Kramer.. And if anything probably the only one with the closest vision as kramer after he escaped, or at least with the things both Amanda and Hoffman lacked.
i think itd be really hard to mess up such a big continuity error whilst remaking the bathroom down to every single detail especially twice aswell as an overwhelming amount of factors, but i really like how respecting you guys are of the theory. the people who dont believe the theory are quite rude about it

Had the theory in my mind for too many years that’s Adams alive I’ve always had that hope especially with John saying to Amanda that he had to clean up her mistakes and also the amount of time Amanda had the bag over adams head would not have been enough to kill him
She only held the bag over his head for less than a minute, it can take upto 4 minutes to suffocate someone, plus John says he's cleaned up her mistakeS as in detective Mathew's and atleast one other we don't see. Also they show the chain on Adam leg wrong twice, in 2 different movies, I can see one time being a continuity mistake but not messing up twice! Unless it's on purpose .

Yep I bring this up all the time and people just say Amanda killed him and I say the same thing it takes way longer to suffocate he got hit on the toilet then Amanda felt bad and confused and stopped. Plus the shackle on the wrong foot twice the body's had to have been switched also John always had photos of people taken in a similar format that Adam uses Adam could have filled the photographer role. Also in saw 3 when Amanda says she's a murder John says I cleaned up your mess plural meaning Mathers and Adam. He most likely knew she rigged the game and that it wasn't fair just like he saved Logan because it wasn't fair because he never woke up so he saved Adam because the game wasn't played the way he wanted it to be Amanda therew the key on his chest instead of around him John knew his game was tampered with. THE BODY WAS SWITCHED there's to much evidence to deny it.

Also have to remember that Adam is severely dehydrated and hungry, as well as breathing in the smell of decomposing bodies which would all play a huge factor on his overall respiratory system. Also he smashed his head on the toilet which would send him into a panic and massively increase his tidal volume and make him lose consciousness quicker.

Honestly? I assume John knew about Amanda being at the murder of his child. He knew all of this other stuff about random people, so it just makes sense that he would've known about Amanda, considering she was pretty close with him.
This letter thing is really interesting, I hope that creators won't forget to explain it somehow sooner or later😆 I think the new Saw movie will leave us with more questions than answers😆

I think one of my bigger questions about John’s body is why was there one? It’s in the news in one of the prior films - Five, maybe? - that Jigsaw had his ashes spread earlier that day. Did I miss a comment in “Jigsaw” that it was false info to keep people from vandalizing his grave or something?
What was the key for around Amandas neck in saw 3? Its not for Lyns collar according to a deleted scene.
Hoffman may come out of the bathroom. But he won't be able to escape, since Brad and Ryan will be there. Or maybe Dr. Gordon sees him through the camera in the bathroom. Maybe there are sensors alerting him that Hoffman is coming out of the bathroom. But there is a possibility that Gordon uses Hoffman to set up the traps. Of course Hoffman would have to carry Art's mechanism, if he does anything against the rules, Hoffman dies. But knowing Hoffman, he will find another way to get out.
My questions are did rigg actually die in saw 4 after Hoffman closed the door?

I hate that the pigs were meant to be Brad and Ryan, it's too easy, it's lame. I'm glad it never happened in canon, even though it was mentioned in the director's commentary. I always kind of chose to ignore that since it's not technically something that was outright stated canonly, like you said. It is something that could be easily ret-conned and I think it would be so much cooler for it to be Adam and Logan. Years back, I actually made a whole video about my theory of it being Adam and Logan alongside Lawrence, due to height discrepancies in the pigs that led to it not making sense for it to be Brad and Ryan, but made sense for it to be Adam and Logan.

Another question I always had was what was the purpose of the first Ryan and Brad trap in Saw 3D? First of all how do you set up an intricate trap like that in public? When in the timeline did it take place? If Hoffman made it, why? I thought his last game to set up was the Saw 6 traps as per the envelops given to him from the box. He even told Jill this was the last of it, then they’re done. (Also why even bother at that point)?
It’s never made explicitly clear if Hoffman enjoys or wants to continue John’s legacy? It was my understanding he sabotaged everything to be done with all this and move on? Yet he also does subtle things like reposition the small doll in the Saw 5 model to mimic the firefighter’s real position before her game begins which shows he cares about a pointless detail.

I asked my wife this the other day, if Gordon helped with most of the surgical stuff and was previously an oncologist, why didn’t they just kidnap Lynn Denlon and have her team up with Gordon to help with removing the tumor in the 3rd movie. Obviously they couldn’t do that because it would eliminate the next few movies from happening but just a thought I had and wanted to share with you guys 😂

I really don’t want Adam to be alive. I’d be interested to see what they’d do with it, but I think that both victims of the original bathroom trap in SAW turning out to be apprentices would undermine the stakes that are at play in that film. A little like Palpatine returning in the sequels. Everyone would rather forget it happened and maintain the integrity of the original in the form it was originally intended

I have a question about John Kramer's philosophy on life and his view on killers/murderers in the first Saw film.
We all know Dr. Gordon was supposed to kill Adam by a certain time, and if he didn't, his family would die. Zepp was injected with a poison and given instructions to watch over Dr. Gordon's game, and if he failed, Zep would be the one who had to KILL Dr. Gordon's wife and daughter into order to get the antidote.
In later films, he learn more about Jigsaw's view on murderers, how he "despises" them and he thinks "KILLING IS DISTASTEFUL!"
If Jigsaw hates murderers, then why was Dr. Gordon's game involve him having to KILL Adam????

I don’t know what happened to Daniel after the second movie but what I’m assuming is that he may have died of starvation in that safe because he was given oxygen I guess but not any food and water

She only held the bag over his head for less than a minute, it can take upto 4 minutes to suffocate someone, plus John says he's cleaned up her mistakeS as in detective Mathew's and atleast one other we don't see. Also they show the chain on Adam leg wrong twice, in 2 different movies, I can see one time being a continuity mistake but not messing up twice! Unless it's on purpose .
