My problem with the logic behind the Zepp entry is that unless doctors know what the origin of the poison was, it's near impossible for them to identify the correct antidote to use. Also, going to the police would've tipped Jigsaw off since Hoffman was still a mole in the department (it doesn't matter if Zepp knew or not). I honestly like that the 'razor box' trap was meant for Gus because the only character trait we see of him is that he's recklessly impulsive by looking through the peephole and that trap is seemingly about not rushing forward. We don't hear the tape but the fact that we can see the key makes it seem that the whole test was to listen carefully and not just recklessly jump right into the situation. Interesting, no? I personally don’t think #7 is very fair…… you’ve called previous decisions dumb for not listening to jigsaw and doing exactly what he says, but then calls this one dumb for doing exactly that. How was he supposed to know that he may or may not have been watched, and know he could cheat the system and use the hooks elsewhere? We’ve all seen what happens to people who don’t play by the rules, so in this instance, he gave his trap a fighting chance in the only way he knew he could, which was, as far as he was aware, his safest option.
That’s a fair response! We believe after all his failures, he could have taken a smarter route to complete this objective, but you do make a good point!

Everything Jeff did was my guess. Also, f*ck William Easton - the guy literally turned down someone on a legit medical treatment since he had a dental surgery once (it's literally why he gets melted from the inside by the guy's son at the end of the movie). Anyone in as desperate a situation as John was will likely hear about that from the other guy's family and try to get the scam treatment thinking it's likely actually a legit treatment. I'm not saying that to make John sound smarter - I'm saying that as someone who's known people who have had the "we're not covering X because of a previously existing condition" pulled on them. If anything, that excuse makes you more likely to think the alternate treatment is probably legit.
As much as I like the SWAT Commander Rigg he didn't listen too well like Strahm. 1st trap the tape clearly said to walk away and don't try to save Brenda. Did it anyway almost got a early death. The second and third test I'll give him a pass as we all know a lot of people did not like what the hotel manager was doing to them women. But right before his final test he was told to go home and remember who he was saving and he just question what does it mean? Everything came back full circle after not learning anything from barging in the unsecured door at Kerrys crime scene. Eric yelled not to open the door and instead of saving Eric inadvertently Rigg got him killed. All this could have been avoided if he had just left with his wife Tracy.
Mark hoffman coming after Jill tuck. (Yes i know he was getting revenge for jill coming after him but she was doing what jigsaw was asking of her) But if he just walked away after surviving the reverse bear trap then he would have made sure he was not captured
Surprised Ryan in 'Jigsaw' going towards a door that says "No Exit" wasn't on this list lol. Now that is one dumb thing to do! Having said that I think the entire plot of Jigsaw was a dumb decision tbh.
I must also defend Addison. Just like everyone else Im going to say the nerve gas affected her judgement, although my real reason for defending her is she's pretty and I have a crush on her.
#7 - Ummm… you guys kind of crap on Peter in #8 for not listening but here, Bobby actually DOES listen to his instructions and you guys crap on him for that? His actual dumbest decision was making up that kind of trap in the first place. He should’ve made up an easier one. #5 - Hoffman actually doesn’t come out on top. He does against Jill but not in the long run.
I'm about to start watching but I hope one is scamming John Kramer. Side note I always wanted to hear the missing Saw 2 tapes as well as the missing traps in Saw 2. Jigsaw lied about Amanda's cell mate being dead in Saw 1.
It's around movie 3 or 4 I think when everyone in traps (they always talk about Jigsaw in the group trap each movie centers around etc) knows who Jigsaw is and his MO etc. So I'd add literally everyone who doesn't listen to what he says or breaks the rules. They KNOW they just have to do two things to survive: 1) Play by the rules and 2) LISTEN CAREFULLY
There's no way that Hoffman would've just let Strahm win had he gotten in the Glass Box especially considering he put him in the Unwinnable Water Box trap earlier. He just wanted a way to kill him and gloat about it. The real dumb part of that encounter was wasting time by choosing to listen to the tape at all, and getting close enough to get the gun knocked out of his hand.
So he sets Jill to up, she failsas expected, a very angry Hoffman becomes “The Hoffmanator” and goes in his own “Kill Jill” quest, kills her (like seriously all that speech about understanding human nature and being able to predict their moves, well one doesn't need to be a genius to know that it's better not to mess with Hoffman ), so Dr.Gordon, another lose end, must avenge her (why don't make him do it from the start?) and goes after Hoffman. Did John basically set them to kill each other seeing how in the end all his apprentices were a menacefor society acting by their own? To be fair, Hoffman’s test technically was an execution but he still beat it. Now I wonder did John broke his own rules or Jill decided to not give him a chance. Amanda had a key Hoffman didn't and I don't believe John predicted Hoffman beating the trap in that way. I guess I will never know… Also what's up with his actual first apprentice, the one that also was a doctor. Where was him? Patiently waiting till Dr.Gordon and Hoffman kill each other? Because if Hoffman escapes the bathroom Dr. Gordon better hide in another country under a fake name.
One thing that I was thinking about strahm, he would’ve died anyways. There’s no way Hoffman would’ve let him out of the box, giving him a much worse death than being turned into purée
Decision that will turn out to be the dumbest: Dr Gordon locked Hoffman in the bathroom😂 Very good list, we need another one with dumbest decisions. Maybe Jeff who killed John. Adam trying to trick Jigsaw with cigarette (that was really funny but still dumb). Ps. I don't like Bobby😂
Zepp enjoying the kidnapping. Hrm. Maybe that's why he was in his own trap when it hadn't originally made sense to me, given he was the one who prompted Gordon to learn his patient's name. I do wish that would have been better fleshed out somehow.
To me the DUMBEST Decision ever made was in Jigsaw where Anna and Ryan could have just revealed their sins and Ryan would have two legs and Anna wouldn't lose half her face.
The only reason I can think of for Allison throwing the envelope is that it wasn't her trap. Due to her stupidity and the gas, she probably thought she didn't need it. Btw, I am not saying that it justified her actions, but more why she did it in the first place. Nevertheless, it still contained instructions. That’s the problem with just about everyone in the house trap. They never stopped to take in what John was telling them.
Damn, the dumbest decision ever? I'm going to say it's either Amanda killing Lynn and failing her test or Tapp and Singh going after John without backup, leading to Singh's death and John getting away. Edit: Well, shit. Yeah, that's pretty dumb but hope makes people do dumb things, I guess.
SAW IV: Lt. Rigg's not leaving well enough alone. Was told NUMEROUS TIMES to let go, leave the Saw case alone, don't find the detectives, don't save the people, and DON'T GO THROUGH UNCHECKED DOORS BLINDLY and fails MISERABLY on ALL accounts 😑
@@HorrorSauce I suppose Rigg doesn't have the benefit of all the flashbacks repeating "Eric Matthews has 90 minutes to SAVE HIMSELF" but he literally got the "Time is on your side. Remember WHO you are saving." note and didn't take either hint! 1) Let the clock run out! 2) Eric failed because he couldn't wait either. Remember WHO you are saving. Dumbest IRL Saw decision was wasting Kerry before realizing there'd be more sequels. Could've been Hoff's foil!
I was thinking about how Jill chose to try to kill Hoffman instead of testing him was a dumb decision. It may not be dumb enough to make it to this list but it still caused the death of the police department and herself for not following the will.
I paused it I’m gonna say the dumbest decision is not taking jigsaw up on his offer to have an ambulance there to make sure your wife doesn’t die after just getting shot right in front of you
Can I ask what has the both of you convinced that Zepp would have been able to get the antidote from a hospital? The end of first Saw film pretty much goes on to say that ONLY Jigsaw would have had the antidote and that Zepp HAD to rely on and follow his instructions in order to be saved. Now, if the argument is that it’s unrealistic to think that medical professionals wouldn’t have been able to cure him and give him the right antidote, then I suppose that’s completely valid. However, it’s been recognized that a number of elements, even within just the first film, are written with the intention for the audience to suspend maybe too much disbelief and buy into the plot no matter what. For instance, Adam’s electric shock causing him to throw the gun, just to get it out of his reach, is something that people said wouldn’t happen because a shock would cause muscles to contract/he would have held onto the gun. Seen something interesting before too where a guy was talking about his parent seeing the first movie and how he had enough knowledge to know the condition or the material of the pipes and that they would have been something that could be broken, I think with the toilet tank lid. Out of all the things I’ve wondered about the series, like why would anyone ever shackle Adam to begin with if he was just meant to unlock himself with a key already given to him, I think the first film makes it pretty straightforward that Zepp was at the mercy of John Kramer and that he wouldn’t have found help for curing himself at a hospital. However, it is interesting that you mention he still might have had the option to say something to the police, but I just think Zepp probably was thinking that would screw himself over because it could likely just anger Jigsaw, and imprisonment/being stopped wouldn’t have guaranteed Kramer to administer the antidote. Again, this is assuming the writers meant to imply that only he could have cured Zepp. There was a very interesting real life story of a man in the early 2000s who did the dirty work of robbing a bank while wearing a collar that was meant to explode unless the man did as he was instructed. There’s a lot of debate and a convoluted story as to how much the man was in on the planned robbery. According to those who believe he was in on it beginning to end, the man supposedly believed the collar to just be a fake for show, to convince others who saw him wear it that it was real and would go off unless he did what he was set out to do. Some like his family suggest he was roped into it and didn’t have a say and was really forced to act against his will, and the collar did eventually detonate after he was apprehended by the police. Now, an exploding neck collar is probably much more immediate a threat as it could be detonated at any moment for noncompliance, but I still think Zepp was under pressure to do what he was told, even if he had more time to weigh his actions. Thinking it’s either you listen to someone who has threatened your life, or you lose it seems convincing enough to me anyway that he would have just tried to keep Jigsaw appeased and not anger him by trying to betray him. Seems like it would be the greater risk to disobey Jigsaw if he really thought he was the only one who could save it. Even if it wasn’t true and medical professionals could have helped, that dire situation or the belief that it’s all real can be enough to make you act irrationally to try and save yourself. It’s hard to really assess these films for dumb decisions through and through, because I think they were often written, sometimes inadvertently, to exclude realistic outcomes, but not always. It’s probably realistic, for instance, that certain decisions like Dr. Gordon not using the box to reach for the phone was realistic because he was in an extremely panicked state and thought his family was done for, so he wasn’t thinking clearly and people generally would excuse that decision as not being dumb because he might have been unable to be rational in that situation. Under stressful decisions, you generally might not think straight all the time, but the series has also been criticized for things like the longevity some characters had when it’s been discussed that many likely would have died or passed out and failed their test that way from the pure shock of how gruesome their solutions were or the situations they were in. I still find the series very entertaining and it’s great to see another pair of enthusiasts go on commenting what they enjoy and didn’t enjoy. This channel is already booming and the Saw XI stuff you guys release when the movie comes out will be nuts!!!
Killing Detective Tapp and Sing at the beginning of the franchise when they could've developed Tapp's backstory further and put him in his own trap was a mistake. Also, it's underutilizing two great acting talents, Danny Glover and Ken Leung. However, perhaps they didn't know how huge the Saw franchise was going to be at the time.
Idiots and horror movies pair together like wine and cheese. And the fastest way to make an idiot is a time limit. That, and John falling for that brain surgeon baloney just paints him kinda like an old person falling for a telephone scam.and that is just funny as hell. As for dumb decisions, my favor still goes for Gus and the key hole; thats some Tex Avery bullshit. That, and Bobby's little scam.
John going to Mexico I would excuse it as he probably is annoyed at having gone through many treatments and just wants to try to see if he will finally find a solution

He knew it was bullshit but didn’t care so he could save money
#1 is the dude not going home despite jigsaw "hinting" (literally telling him the solution) at it like 6 times.
18:29 ‘fucking Norwegian lady’ I’m crying 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Surprised Ryan in 'Jigsaw' going towards a door that says "No Exit" wasn't on this list lol. Now that is one dumb thing to do! Having said that I think the entire plot of Jigsaw was a dumb decision tbh.
We agree 100% haha! 😆
i bet the dumbest is gonna be jeff taking so long to let the ppl out of the traps
Poor old Jeff can’t catch a break 😆😆
I must also defend Addison. Just like everyone else Im going to say the nerve gas affected her judgement, although my real reason for defending her is she's pretty and I have a crush on her.
You should have included Amanda shoting Lin, are favorite character John died because of her
Amazing Video! I need that Horror Sauce merch!! :D
Thank you! Hoping to launch some soon 😍😍
The dumbest decision is doing anything to make jigsaw mad
😂😂
Haha looks like we didn’t disappoint! Poor old john! 😆
+"Leave your guesses for #1"
-"It's probably from Saw X"
+"You're not guessing #1"
-"Nevermind i don't know"
Really nice commentary! Good chemistry!
Thank you! 😍❤️
Always down to watch the saw content 🔥 keep working
We’ll keep pumping them out! 😍😍
I guess I will never know…
Also what's up with his actual first apprentice, the one that also was a doctor. Where was him? Patiently waiting till Dr.Gordon and Hoffman kill each other? Because if Hoffman escapes the bathroom Dr. Gordon better hide in another country under a fake name.
#1 dumbest decision is amanda kills John's baby lol
Haha whoops!
Amanda shoud have told John, John would have probably forgave her ( i mean, he forgave Cecil )
@@arturocastroverde3349 agreed
One thing that I was thinking about strahm, he would’ve died anyways. There’s no way Hoffman would’ve let him out of the box, giving him a much worse death than being turned into purée
Rigg doesn’t realize time is on his side lmao
Decision that will turn out to be the dumbest: Dr Gordon locked Hoffman in the bathroom😂
Very good list, we need another one with dumbest decisions. Maybe Jeff who killed John. Adam trying to trick Jigsaw with cigarette (that was really funny but still dumb).
Ps. I don't like Bobby😂
Addison couldn’t play the tape because she didn’t have the tape player
Jonas had it
I was gonna say "Jeffs entire existence" is the dumbest decision lol
😂😂
Zepp enjoying the kidnapping. Hrm. Maybe that's why he was in his own trap when it hadn't originally made sense to me, given he was the one who prompted Gordon to learn his patient's name. I do wish that would have been better fleshed out somehow.
Just stumbled on your channel and I'm binging on your video. Great work, guys! Keep on the grind. And Zoe, you're a little gorgeous. Had to say it. 😂
Welcome aboard!!
i love ur videos :D
Thank you!! 😍😍
Yes John falling for false operation , really takes the cake. 😂
To me the DUMBEST Decision ever made was in Jigsaw where Anna and Ryan could have just revealed their sins and Ryan would have two legs and Anna wouldn't lose half her face.
Getting into the furnace guy 😂 gotta be number 1
At least nobody liked Obi hahah 😆
Absolutely haha, Amanda killing Lynn was also another very popular pick!
Great to see someone else who knows tha X is the Latin designation for the number 10
What about L? 😆
L=50@@HorrorSauce
Lots of people know that
My guess for #1 was the entire Fatal Five just existing
My guesses (before watching) are: Rigg opening the door at the end of Saw IV or Amanda shooting Lynn in III
The Rigg guess is definitely the most popular! Amazing!
Yes! And kerry was robbed!!
Addison is literally going insane cuz of the nerve gas, but ok
I always thought Bobby could have just put the hooks through his shirt. Actually didn't think about him using his belt.
I was thinking about how Jill chose to try to kill Hoffman instead of testing him was a dumb decision. It may not be dumb enough to make it to this list but it still caused the death of the police department and herself for not following the will.
I paused it I’m gonna say the dumbest decision is not taking jigsaw up on his offer to have an ambulance there to make sure your wife doesn’t die after just getting shot right in front of you
I am rewatching this video and it just hit me. I'm autistic and I now jokingly say that Zep is autistic because of "it's the RULES!" LOL
In Saw 6 William denied John the coverage for a treatment in Norway, not in Mexico.
Should of had the jigsaw movie moment where Ryan takes the shovel and tries to open the No Exit door
I wouldn't have guessed number 1 because i just didn't think of it
Good content 👍
Thank you so much! 😍🤩
I love saw franchise so much! But yeah I think I agree with all your choices. I’m still think spiral would have made it in though.
Rig kicking in the door at the end of saw 4 when all he had todo was wait
Shocked there wasn't a mention of Angie not shooting the killer
Great call! A lot of bad decisions in that film in general haha
I’d say Jigsaw had some dirt on Zep as well
Awesome video
Thank you so much! 😍❤️
Jeff killing jigsaw definitely number 1
I haven’t watched the movies but know them a bit and my guess was that the father of the son wasn’t waiting but the son was already there
Idiots and horror movies pair together like wine and cheese.
Yes, thank you! Haha Horror movies definitely bringing in the A game on dumb decisions!
i was thinking number 1 was going to be no one working together in saw 5
John going to Mexico I would excuse it as he probably is annoyed at having gone through many treatments and just wants to try to see if he will finally find a solution
My guess for the dumbest decision is Rigg going through the door
No way you did John dirty like that 😭😭
How TF is the dude who killed jigsaw and entail his wife not the dumbest decision.....
William easton didn't say the treatment was fake he said he wouldn't be covered and if he went he would be booted off the insurance
Number 1: every decision rigg made in Saw 4
😂 Poor old rigg can’t catch a break!
