      Based on the existing peer-reviewed literature regarding potential quercetin cytotoxicity, it might be a wise choice to keep the quercetin dosages low and to coadminister NAC, in an effort to counteract quercetin's thiol-depleting oxidative metabolite.
      Granted, oral quercetin is subjected to extensive glucuronidation, sulfation, and/or degradation however, the elderly and/or individuals with glutathione-depleting diseases should exercise caution.

    "In Ayurvedic medicine you take remedies together with ghee and honey - fat and sugar." "Quercefit" patents history show a 10 times increase in absorption with a mechanical mixture of maltodextrin / quercetin /sunflower lecithin on a 1/1/1 or any number of ratios basis. I have also tried first dissolving the maltodextrin in a bit of water to best coat the quercetin then grinding on the lecithin granules using the back of a spoon against a plate.

      their lysosomal/phytosome product where they dissolve all 3 in 190 proof ethanol which, initially claimed a 20 times increase, in the final document they claim 50 times higher absorption of their "solid dispersion" which is their alcohol dissolved and dried "phytosome" product Quercefit.

    • @OCEDNO
      @OCEDNO 2 місяці тому

      Hi, do you know what is the type of Quercetin that can be dissolved in water in a better way...in order to applied through a PEG tube ? thank you

    • @jameskringlee8974
      @jameskringlee8974 2 місяці тому

      @@OCEDNO "Quercetin is a crystalline, yellow material which is entirely insoluble in cold water, soluble in alcohol and lipids, and marginally soluble in hot water and has a bitter taste." quote from "Recent Advances in Potential Health Benefits of Quercetin" The technology exists to make herbs that are insoluble in water dispersible in water such as used in Theracurmin for curcumin - "Theracurmin was created in order to combat the low bioavailability and absorption rates that curcumin has. Using Japanese technology such as sub-micron particle processing and surface controlled technique, particles of curcumin are made to optimum size to be more easily absorbed by the human body." "The small particle size of Theracurmin also makes it easy to blend in liquid. The dispersion of Theracurmin in water remains the same color and opacity and does not settle compared to other curcumin preparations". I do not know who is using this Japanese technology or other technology with Quercetin. Seek and you will find.
      as to "in order to applied through a PEG tube ?" I do not know what this means.
      I now grind together equal parts of maltodextrin, herb, and lecithin then combine with olive oil or dissolve maltodextrin in a bit of water, grind with herb, then lecithin, then combine with olive oil for "medicinal" purposes. note: according to the patent application any number of ratios of "parts" are said to "work" and in the patent literature and a simple mechanical mixture of quercetin, as a example of a hard to absorb herb, with maltodexrtin and lecithin increases absorption 10 times vs then processing the mixture with high proof ethanol for a 20 times increase or in some claims 50 times increase in absorption.. I use organic tapioca maltodextrin because it is used by major pharmaceutical companies, according to export records, and regular sunflower lecithin because it is referenced and easily available. My experience says It does work to increase absorption, use caution, reduce dose as you see how your mix acts in your body. Or if inhibiting a certain phase or feature of a virus or in a big fight with a virus - go for it.

    Oh my goodness. When I was around 44-45 my health took a sharp dip. Way more tired, way more gray hair, wrinkles, inability to sleep all over again, getting ill easier and more often. More inflammation, less weight loss and more likely to have weight gain. All sorts of things gone wrong and mostly that is how things stayed except for brief shining times of something better going on. At no point, until I watched this video, did I connect it with cutting back on onions and garlic. (sigh). Up until I cut back on onions and garlic, I was in my 40s and having people think I was anywhere from 12-27. Then, I was suddenly 30-45. Wow!

    Thank you Dr. Sung for the really important information. I had a Genetic evaluation through CRI Genetics and was interested to find out how my DNA affected my ability to absorb vitamins and the effect of hormones. Do you have any information if NAC, Quercetin, or other Antioxidants are affected by our DNA? Do people from different parts of the world or different ethnicities have different needs than others? What determines how much of what you need or is your health before you take the supplement the determining factor?

    Dear Dr. Sung,
    I’m a long time reader of your video’s on UA-cam. I appreciate profoundly what you share with your readers. However, I have a question about NAC. I started with this, as well as TMG and Quercetin, since 8 days. I have a light form of asthma and I read a lot about the benefits of all the 3 as well as longevity. I believe in live extension. I’m also a strong believer in intermittent fastning. I regularly do not eat for 3-4 days and drink lots of water. My asthma was doing very well. I didn’t need my inhalator. But now I start coughing, breath harder, get itchy on my skin. Is this maybe a positive reaction to NAC and I have to get through it? I read from some other readers the same experiences. I also take high quality olive oil as well as apple cider with lemon, vit. K2, selenium, d3, magnesium, multi vitamin, omega 3, lechitine, zinc, vit.E, vit. C, potassium, 5-HTP, Ginkgo Biloba, iron, garlic and Astaxanthine. I hope you will reply to me. Best regards, Siert from the Netherlands.
