- This is NOT my video. This is a tape (or rather, a pair of tapes) I found at a flea market about 5 years ago and digitized. The aspect ratio is incorrect, as it should be in 3:4 instead of 16:9. I can't speak on the validity on any information presented and claim no ownership of the material presented.
thank you so much for digitizing this and preserving it for future generations. this is an important video.
A great training manual for my Hapkido training in perspective. There is always something to grow and learn from. A continual never-ending process!
Until you reach the top of the mountain and then there is only one place left to go--down
@@johnreidy2804Or...to a bigger mountain! 🏔️
In 92 I was learning from karate books in the library and i was kicking some serious ass. Imagine if i had this on vhs. Scary thought for sure.
You would have been the second Chuck Norris
@@johnreidy2804😂😂😂😂😂
In 1952, I was kicking ass because I bought a 10c book about ju-jitsu
Excellent teaching 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is an excellent body of work! I am forever endebted to the makers and participants of this immaculate video!!!
OSS!!!!!
this is amazing
Awesome video, keep the tradition alive! BTW, I felt sorry for the dude taking the punishment for over 2 hours. 😅
gracias por compartir Osss. muy interesante el acondicionamiento neuromotor
HapKiDo with even _more_ techniques.
LA. Tech University had a tournament where these guys who came from Korea matched up, no Americans would compete, where it'd been futile, the guys were literally a blur. Seen blood fly, no one saw the strike, except one ref said he did. Guys were lightning fast. It was said these were the Grand Master from Korea black belts. Which he was there too. Dr. David Jordan was the instructor at LA. Tech. But no one, Kung fu, Karate or anyone wanted to match these guys.
I saw that movie!
A quoi ressemblent leurs combats ?
🐂
Filme muito produtivo pra aprendizado!!!
I opened this, and without watching the intro, pushed a number, and it took me straight to 31:40 "submission nut-punch"
Interesting bit of history, thanks.
This is not how this is practiced in classes. These are reminders if you get stuck and forget what the technique is at its core. You generally remember everything that goes along with it.
👍👍👍❤
👌🏻😉😊🙏🏻
I say thanks to Bruce Lee for his JKD breaking these classical mess barriers.
😂😂😂
Exactly!😂
Bruce Lee? hahahaha
Actually am quite impressed of how practical these techniques would be in a MMA fight.
😢
Kudos to you.
Great training
😂😂😂
❤❤
Very efficient for street and war ground
No offense intended
Who attacks from 8 feet away ?
Is this realistic ?
Most street attackers have a go from 12 inches away or less
If the first 10 minutes is completely unrealistic why would I watch anymore ?
Robots
this art contains both sparring and kata, from my understanding. Its not 100% robotic like Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu, which does not spar at all.
😂😅😊
No sparring, no basic techniques, no realistic drilling (jab cross low right roundhouse, jab cross left hook, etc)
Choreography ballet, just lovely😢
@Leftystrat it's not bad for very advanced students who know how to fight, you just wanna do very basic stuff for beginners for 1-2 years until they can win 8/10 times. You also want them lifting weights too.
a lot of these techniques are very much applicable and effective in live sparring... judo/wrestling/jiu jitsu.
Circus
One move had already cohntered ykur drilling
wow...just imagine how rich you could become if you trained in this and then beat every mma world champion...
imagine how hurt you'd become if you actually attempted to use this in MMA.
I bet they would have been able to beat you. Remember that they are teaching and demonstrate basic training. Too many keyboard warriors that just love to mock others.
@@Haywood-Jablomiethe instructor actually countered with an oblique kick like Jon Jones earlier in the video.
Ok... I'm gonna have to watch The Matrix again....
Thank you Jesus Christ for Royce Gracie!
lol
Smh lol
Gracies did expose many faults in traditional martial arts, but Hanmudo at least incorporates sparring.
Look at those classical japanese jujutsu schools. Except few like Kito Ryu, they dont even spar. Considering that Hanmudo is a self defense art, it is actually quite effective compared to other arts in its category, such as Daito Ryu, Takenouchi Ryu, Tenjin Shinyo Ryu all which dont even spar.
😂 doesn't work
Que bueno! La próxima vez que me ataque una patota en Burzaco les voy a pasar este video y les voy a exigir que me den una hora para poder agarrarles la muñeca...y que se dejen...(!)
Luckily UFC happened and reduced this to what it is...pretend fighting. If you want to do that...great ! But it has nothing to do with real fighting.
그냥 합기도네 아닌가? 아이키도 인가....
GAY 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
