I think Longines should make a 36mm, No Date version to rival the Explorer. I know I’d be all over that particular model.

This is an interesting option, I enjoy the high polish shiny bezel as it adds an element of flash to the design. Quality of the brushing and polishing appears to be quite nice for the price as well. I like the dimensions too it makes for a pretty wearable watch. May have to add this one to my collection down the road here!

An absolutely killer watch with increadable specs. I purchased the Conquest in 41mm--I'm so happy I did! The 72 power reserve and 300 meters of water resistant is steller, especially for the price. This is an extremely versatile watch that can be worn for any occasion. Value, heritage, and versatility is what this watch is all about.

I’ve had this watch for a few years. Doesn’t get much YT love, but it’s fantastic. Feels so much more expensive than it is, but it is realistic to wear everyday. I never get bored with this, and it makes me feel good. Lume is a bit rubbish, but I forgive it, as it’s gorgeous.

Finally found one. This specific model (39mm, auto, black) is on back order everywhere, even direct from Longines. I found only one AD that actually has one, brand new, in stock ready to ship. All others have a huge lead time (weeks) before delivery. The one I found?…..3 days. Maybe Longines will be discontinuing this model. Anyway, I now own it and it has easily become my favorite in a modest collection of 6. I see reviews of the Rolex Explorer and every time I’m glad I went in this direction. The value/money prop is just insane. Love this dial.

Wonderful, thorough review-thank you. Truly a “do it all” watch. Own a 41 mm black dial w GMT 28000hz movement, has been rock solid. Considering this watch as well but the lack of applied markers and the polished center links which highlight scratches have made me hesitate. Appears to be a very popular watch as now quite hard to find in stock.

I got it, with the blue dial. It's just supreme. One downside: the bracelet links are way too big and adjusting sometimes needs to be done with half-link. Mind you, the blue dial has no hands luminosity, while the black one shines at night. The blue dial is a little bit more elegant and suite-able, while the black is more sporty and versatile. I'm actually considering switching them.

    • @Watchamacallit
      @Watchamacallit 2 роки тому +7

If you look at the watch on Longine's site and enlarge it, the 1 is not higher than the 2. You can see this by laying a straight edge over the top of the 2. The fact it appears higher here is an artifact most likely of the video process either on Baldassare's end or UA-cam's. There's also an optical illusion factor where the slightly curved horizontal top of the 2 just strikes the eye as lower than the vertical of the 1.

@@greenteaenjoyer9068You're pointing to another video. I repeat, look at a site where there's a still close-up of the watch face either Longine's, Jomashop or whatever. Place a ruler or credit card on the top edge of the "2" and you'll see that none of the "1" is visible. I agree however that Longiness made a graphic mistake. They should have shortened the "1" to eliminate the illusion.

It's because the font and the way the top of the "2" slopes down makes it *appear* it's shorter, but in fact both are same height. The very top of the 2 and the 1 are both at same height if you place a straight edge over them to check.

The sweep most definitely is less smooth than if this were 28,800. It doesn’t matter in my book tho.

39mm by 19mm lugs is a hard pass for my 8in wrist. I may look at the bigger size

I like a lot this watch. Resembles the explorer. Not sure the price point though. Is a Longines Conquest ($1300) worth the price as it doubles in price a Tissot Gentlement ($650)?

Not a particularly original design in my opinion. Very similar Explorer design markers. I don’t like the crown set up, as I find some of these really fiddly at times. However, it is a clean look and at the price point not bad value at all considering the ETA engine.

What's the lug width for the 41mm?
    I see the 39 is 19mm
    The 43 is 22mm?
Wondering if the 41mm is 20 or 21mm lug width.

Great watch ruined by PCL and a butterfly clasp. If Longines ditched those and even managed to add some on the fly adjustment it would be a phenomenal success.

I'm starting to see the 39mm version of this watch disappear ...at least in Black and Blue dial variations. They are not available on your e-commerce site and Longines only has the Silver dial version marketed on their site. Has the 41mm taking the place of the 39mm?
