In this video, I'll take a look at some of my favorite "everyday" watches between $1,000 and $2,000. For me, an everyday watch has versatility for either casual or more dressed-up scenarios while also offering the level of specifications necessary to tackle the day-to-day.

Glad to see Monta on here yet again! They have a few models that fit this category, I personally chose the Noble but the Atlas definitely checks all the boxes
Teddy b you are a treasure! Couldnt agree more with these choices! Particularly love that longines conquest! Perfect size, and such a versatile watch. Longines really deserves so much more love than it gets! Great video as always.
@Brian Conway oh bless! 😭💕 nothing this week I’m afraid! I’ve been at a kids camp all week. Hoping I can get something out on Tuesday / Wednesday!
YT Watch Nerds Unite! Great community…you, Teddy, Jenni, TGV, and Fed keep it fun and real!
Me too, the Conquest it is! Best bang for the buck. Cheers!
@@GoTerpsGoBlue TGV and Fed community??? You need to check a little history. 😉
@@BAF605 I enjoy their POV and and don’t get caught up in silliness. Both are informative in their own way and uniquely different. To each their own. I should have added Bark and Jack to the list as well…big miss…enjoyable channel
I've got a tudor 1926 opaline and i love the simplicity as well as the waffle pattern and the blue accents are phenomenal.
this channel is a God send just started thinking about watches and getting into collecting and this has been so helpful and the website and blogs, keep up the good work
I love the Nomos club campus, I think you're right that it's a great watch for post-grad folks out there. That tangerine colored dial is also incredibly striking and is one that I haven't seen! Super cool. Thanks for the great video Teddy!
I just picked up an Oris Pro Pilot Day Date. I have wanted one of these for quite awhile and found a barely used one for a deal I couldn’t pass up.
I’ve worn it daily over the last 2 weeks and it’s even better than I expected. HIGHLY legible and very accurate and comfortable. Definitely my new favorite it my collection and perfect for every day wear. Love it!
Excellent video and information. Thank you for your professional opinion and couldn't agree more with your Ball and Tudor choices.
I like having a diver as a daily wear, they can be just as versatile and I love the rotating bezel functionality...
Do you use that a lot besides of boiling eggs?
Another informative vid! Happy that I have one of those mentioned in this ..but I want more
I stumbled upon your channel watched 80% of the videos and ordered Seiko SPB303 as my first automatic watch and I should be receiving it today. Thanks for videos and have a good day!
That Formex Essence just got me. Haven't heard about those watches but that particular model is so nice! Definitely considering to get one
Same! I’m looking then up as I type this 😆
Thanks Teddy for your Channel ... You got me to add the Sinn to my wish list!
Loved the Formex Essence 43 mm in blue on the bracelet! Just went to your site to purchase one. I’m on the list. You need to get them back in stock!
Monta has some nice designs. I look forward to them getting more availability possibly this fall.
Teddy, I and many others, prefer brushed finish. A video of mostly brushed watches in this style would be great. Monta would fit this bill. (No brushed center links)
All excellent choices and the list in the newsletter is even better.
Love the content Teddy, thanks for educating us about the great thing that is watches!
The sinn 556 is the best everyday beater :) love it. I also have a prx but this gets the most time on wrist. Love that Nomos you featured in this video. Fun looking watch
Awesome review teddy i agree the 1926 is a awesome everyday watch i have this extract one love it
thanks Teddy- a no fuss, straight to the point video (and save the best to last)
I didn’t even know that I needed a SINN 556 A RS until I saw your video! Now it is my favorite everyday watch and even at $1600, I feel like it is still a great deal.
Great vid Ted. Thanks.
Love the videoo!! Please do the upper range selections!!!
I wore a 1926 (eta version) daily for three years. It fits any situation IMO. It’s still my dress watch. 👍🏻
As you pointed out with the King Seiko revival, the biggest issue most Seiko and GS fans have with this new release is the incredibly subpar movement they chose to use for a $1700 watch. They could have even used one of the better movements from one of their Presage models in this case
TBH, I've been wearing a vintage 60's Omega Constellation. It's as good an everyday watch as one could want. Only been wearing it for 33 years, so I'll let you know if it's ever not a good everyday watch.
I think you can wear any watch forever if you really wanted too especially since so many people don’t wear watches anymore they are not really a requirement for telling the time
“Only 33 years” sir that’s a quarter and more of your life! 😂
Good luck with the maintenance when the time comes
That Tudor is plain mesmerizing. Cant get it out of my head now 🤩
I was not a watch person but now I AM, Thanks to you Teddy.
I would argue that Mido Multifort Chronometer 1 should be included in this list. $1,300 for a COSC-certified movement, 80 hrs of power reserve,10BAR water resistance, solid quality bracelet, day-date function not seen in the majority of the watches in this video, and a beatiful striped dial. I got mine a few months ago and it has been my staple everyday watch ever since. Caveat though, 42mm case diameter could drive away some potential buyers.
Been wearing a black 41mm automatic Conquest for about two years now, every day. No issues whatsoever. Keeps a very accurate time still. (Although I prefer a leather strap)
Formex is one of my favorites brands right now. Essence 43 is completely beautiful but I would rather go with the Reef GMT ref 300M, with the black dial and the mesh stailess steel bracelet. Even though it doesn´t have an inhouse movement, I think this watch offers a lot of value for the money, certificated swiss chronometer caliber, cool tech features as the patented micro-adjustment system, 30 bar water resistance and outsanding looks. Of course, it is a little bit out of the 2k limit but it is gorgeous!
I got that Ball Fireman watch. Love how well executed they are for the price.
I did recently as well. Love it! Beautiful piece, got the silver dial though.
Great picks, especially the Longines one
Great list. Very interested in the Oris Pointer Date and the Nomos. The Nomos is just a little too long of a lug to lug for me to wear above my wrist sadly. They probably have smaller lug to lug models though.
The 1926 is the best bang for buck, tick all the boxes for me and has been for a long time
Gahh, even though I have two Sinn U50 pieces (T and S Blue), I'm always tempted to make the MOP 556 the next piece to reach for. It is the same as the normal 556, however, it has a mother of pearl dial *and* the indices are actually physical and are applied to the dial - changing up the overall look a bit.
Super video!
In the sub $2K area a used Tudor BB Heritage 41 is tops. I got both mine at that price point. Along with my Longines Conquest 43mm I am all set.
Love the King Seiko!
I have a Christopher Ward Sealander gmt in this price range that I love! It’s at the bottom of this price range and I think competes with watches double it’s price!
My current daily is a Vario 1918 trench 37mm, but for the past year has been my Hamilton Khaki King II 40mm. Would Highly recommend both. The Khaki has 80hrs of power reserve.
I appreciate anyone who appreciates a longines. And my man teddy is.
The Essence is a watch I'll definitely add to my collection.
Fantastic as always. Would love you to review Draken's series of watches from NZ at some stage.
Big fan of Sinn's H-link bracelet , love my Monta Atlas gmt.
That Tudor has a great look to it. I’m not crazy about Tudor except that one looks very clean, and stylish with beautiful blue color.
Thank you for this comprehensive and precise video, a demonstration of great seriousness and professionalism. I have a big doubt about choosing a new watch, as I am looking for a unique Daily Watch that is military inspired, robust and quality on the €2000 Street Price. I really like the Mark XI IWC but the price is very high and I'm looking for something to replace it. I tried the Tudor ranger but it fits large having a wrist of only 16.9 cm. What could you advise me? Thanks Marco
love Nomos but those lug/fangs are a deal breaker. Great content as always!
Good vid Teddy.....
Right on time when I'm looking to buy one myself..
Three words & a comma: Noble, Monta Noble 🙂
Thanks for the overview!
Just got a Tudor 1926 black dial 36mm. It's beautiful.
I have the 41mm Longines Conquest automatic ..7.5 wrist great daily wear…
That Tudor 1926 though...I'd spec mine exactly like the one here. Opaline dial with the blue markings and hands. What a nice watch!
I have never heard you mention Certina. Please include them as I consider them to be great value for money and good build quality. I would be interesting to hear your view.
Longines conquest look so nice and class.
Hi Teddy,
Thank you for great review. I am curious what do you think of Christopher Ward?
I own that Longines and I can tell you it gets FAR more wrist time than the rest of my collection. It’s as close to perfect as I’ve ever experienced. (39mm on a 7” wrist). The value prop dwarfs the Rolex Explorer.
Does the movement hack?
@@corpocore yup
Spirit or Conquest?
@@albert333pool conquest
The Frederique Constant Highlife chronometer is also A very nice option in this price range
Hey Teddy, I bought a Roamer Competence, I’ve heard the brand has had its ups and downs would you do a video about the brand?
That Tudor looks great
Any insight on Tudor glamour date day? I dont see very much on this line, and it has really caught my eye. Have contacted a few AD's in my area to see if I can see it in person, but unfortunately none have any variations in stock. Would be my first large purchase on a watch, so really trying to make sure I do my research.
Hi Teddy! A have a question. Are Longines watches sold at outlet stores a good buy? Thanks!
Can you do a holiday watch video teddy? Best watch for holiday - beach, pool, drinks, dinner, adventures
That last one should be heat blued hands/indices not coloured bue I reckon, be a super watch trhen,. keep the vids comin mate !
Thanks Teddy, I personally think the Tudor is stunning. That is my choice! Regards Mark
So many options to choose from having a tough time deciding. Christopher ward twelve, Tudor 1926, Formex essence, Maurice lacroix Aikon even sharp edge from Seiko. Is there any major pros/cons when comparing these. Haven't had a chance to have all of them in hand.
I love that Tudor 1926. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong: this watch doesn’t have any lume, right?
Can you make a video on best Retro inspired watches? I really liked the engraved 1970's Tissot that you featured in one of your previous buying on a budget videos
That Formex Essence has really caught my attention… unreal watch for the price…
Hi Teddy, loved the video. I was wondering what your opinion is on the RSW brand, I am looking at the RSWA129-SS-D-3 which costs around 2400,- euro, but I can not find much about the brand or reviews about the wathces. It does seem to have a descent movement and good quality materials but I would like to have your opinion on the brand/watch. Maybe it's better to look elsewhere?
Teddy,
I have been considering different movements.
But I would like to know your opinion. And I think people could like it too.
And I was wondering if you would consider make a comparison video about them, overall thinking on friction, service, and longevity.
1. Omega Co-Axial Movement
2. Frederique Constant Silicium/Silicon Slimline Monolithic Manufacture 40Hz
3. Grand Seiko Spring Drive (Automatic/Quartz)
4. Traditional Swiss Scapment Movement
Your channel is one of the most professional and better presented, and with good attitude I have seen.
Thank you
Spring Drive can't be beaten!
Personally, longines all day long.Great review.
What do you think about the 556iB (Blue version of the 556 without a Date) ? 😊
Tudor 1926 - 41mm - Opaline Blue... my favourite ...
Hi Teddy, have you spent any time with Damasko watches? I've been looking at them recently but have not seen in the metal
Oak&Oscar line nice, now I feel special lol....No stone unturned by Teddy B
Teddy,
Is there any certification for watches for shock resisting?
Christopher Ward Sealander would also be a good pick
I just bought a GUCCI dive watch. I know, it’s not a real dive watch, and fashion house watches seem to get no love but, I think it’s absolutely beautiful and quite well made and has nice heft and a really nice stainless steel band. I wanted a nice quartz watch to add to my collection. Got many nice compliments at work.
Just wore my SPB297 today (first time) and the dial is Gorgeous, I know that at this point the 62 MAS is kinda boring theme but just saying the dial, the lume and bezel alignment have been improved over the early releases
Mr Scammer I don’t fall for that trap
IM Surprised you did not include Rados Captain Cook, a favorite of yours in this category
can you make a video on your boluva Skelton watches that you have? stuck between 2 of them lol
Hey, I recently found interest in mechanical watches, so pardon my lack of experience. But I have to ask: What's with the low power reserve of automatic watches? I'm slowly looking around to find interesting models, but a watch losing power between friday and monday is just out of the question. Which really, REALLY narrows down the choice on has, especially in the price range below $2000. It's a shame, really. Also, no shop offers power reserve as a filter criterium. Is my thinking strange?
Where can I get the Sinn 556? Everything I check it appears to be sold out
Tudor and Longines are my favorites
What is your current stance on Christopher Ward ? You haven't mentioned them in quite a while a few years ago they still popped up here and there but now they basically don't come up at all. Personally I like there Designes and they seem to be amazing for the Price. Would you say they are a still a good Buy or do you feel they have gone down a bit ?
I’m on the fence of buying the ball or the Longines. I feel like the Longines is too shiny and not made as well as the ball watch! Any recommendation?
Teddy can I just ask is the Tudor Royal 41mm date/day not a good watch in this price range. RRP in the UK is £1820.00. Also, it is my first luxury watch!
TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
Just got to catch the Ball !
Next year is my dad's 60th birthday so I wanted to get him something nice but I have low income so I had planned to spare some money each month to buy him something nice under $2k next year. Thank you for making this video! ❤
(36.25mm) Omega Seamaster 300m Professional.
Teddy, thoughts on 1926 vs Orion?
Indeed Tudor got my Eye!
King Seiko !
What glasses are you wearing Teddy?
Nice selection. I would also recommend looking at Christopher Ward given their quality & price.
Yes the CW Sealander does the job perfectly. I have the green dial version and it’s excellent.
I have an interest in an everyday watch, but the one I'm most interested in has 5 atm. I'm wondering if that's pushing it.
The go to channel for affordable approachable luxury watches
I see you do a lot of reviews on entry level watches and quality value brands. I would love to see a video on your thoughts on brands like Revue Thommen, Gevril, GV2, Maurice Lacroix, Zeno, Alpine, Glycine and those other reputable but "IFFY" Swiss brands out there.
