True. It is thinner than the other trims and also much more expensive. The aluminum Deco-SG is very solid on the wall to hold the glass and costs $ 20.00 CAD compare to $75.00 CAD for stainless steel one. Specially when you cover it over with a different colour Jolly. But the stainless steel trim is my go to for all floor trims and transitions.
@@renovationtoperfection That's helpful to know. If cost isn't really a concern and there will be tile on both sides of the channel, is there any reason to pick aluminum over stainless steel? I wasn't sure if this was 316 stainless steel or not. I definitely do not want rusting or corrosion.
@@luke9822 I have never used the stainless steel Deco-SG. I am using the aluminum one since 2015, when Schluter brought it to the market and had no issues with it.
It also comes in stainless steel. Same color, more or less, but it would seem higher quality.
