Nice video , I enjoyed it very much . I laughed when you turned on the hose and your cat took off. Very funny ! You worked hard to make such a great space. You should not feel like an outsider , you live there , now it is your country. If you are not accepted then that is on them and is their problem . You are a lovely young lady and may all your days be blessed .

So lovely, I’m building now a ‘dry creek’ and ‘pond’ in the Japanese style, but here in Northern Baja California on the edge of the Pacific. It is never quiet as the ocean is always speaking but the sky and big water are intrinsically open, and in this way restful. It was old me, like young you with pick ax and spade, finding ,placing ,rolling big rocks, and raking gravel. My beloved brother sent me you wonderful video, very inspirational. Thank you

What a beautiful message! I am touched. Thank you so much! I love listening to the ocean. Where you live sounds like a beautiful place. Building a garden is a massive job. But the rewards from the are always worthwhile 😊 it took almost one year to complete my garden. I was working on and off. No need to rush. Wishing you a wonderful day and thank you again for your warm comment 💕

The great thing with Japanese Gardens is there many diferent styles which you can create ,The hard part is the building it up with digging and how to place rocks, the right plants such as Grasses,Bamboo, Maples,Sakura trees and a path. (something i found when i created my own Japanese garden) Once complete though the beauty enhances over the years . Great work you both did and i hope it gives you joy and relaxation for many years to come .

A taller fence could be used with cutouts for window and such. A darker pebble, such as gray would show off more shadows and look more naturalistic. Glad the excessive ornaments were removed; lantern was a neat find. You could try chemically cleaning your statues/lantern and then try cultivating moss to grow on it. Having a soft mister would be an inexpensive way to add fog-like atmosphere while humidity that moss would need.

For the cut ends on your roses, try lipstick to seal the cuts. Lipstick is a natural wax for women's lips. Works great on sealing the cuts. Cold winter snowy/rainy months the lipstick does not wear off. Plus you can pick the color to match the branch or the flower of the rose. My sister and niece buy them for me, and they work great on my cuts on my bonsai trees and all my roses and apple and cherry tree.

Wow you worked so hard. You have the sweetest voice I love watching your garden transform into something so beautiful. I have maiden hair ferns but I have to grow them indoors because the Island I live on gets too cold in winter for them to thrive. Can you grow Japanese maples where you live? A small tree would look really nice near the end of the pathway. :) I love the old and stained look it gives it a beautiful patina and vintage look to the garden. But I hope you plant a little tree at the end for harmony. ❤ I actually really like the look of the statues being taken over by nature it reminds of a temple in the jungle. Do you have a bench or chair to sit and relax in your garden. 🦋🦋

All parts of the Nandina Domestica plant contain cyanide and are toxic if consumed in large quantities. The leaves and berries are toxic to humans, horses, cats, dogs, and wildlife. Birds, especially, can eat too many of the lethal berries. The seeds in the berries are spread by birds. Nandina also forms dense thickets that can overwhelm and displace Native plant communities.
