    Thanks for this video I will not be replacing the battery my self. Out of my skill set. But, I would have used a cloth to work on to reduce the chance of scratches. Also, several time you worked off screen and or the Logo was covering you work. Just a thought. Thanks

    Great video. One suggestion... please don't drift off the screen. You were drifting off the bottom of the screen on this video.

    Tried to replace a broken digitizer and ended up breaking the LCD. These instructions don't make clear in Step #6 how deep you need to get the opening tool in order to pull out the ENTIRE DISPLAY ASSEMBLY. The picture indicates, quite wrongly, that you only need to get the tip of the opening tool under the glass. This will result in separating the digitizer from the screen prematurely, and then breaking the LCD screen. The reality is that you must get the tool deep under the metal base of the assembly and pry the whole thing out with much force (it's glued on both sides). Frustrating.

    Thank you for posting this! now i'll be able to fix my ipod, which in the apple store they said it's only good to throw away.. Ha ha. :D

    What kind of heat gun did you actually used? I mean at what temperature to avoid damage or burning it.
    Please help because im planning to buy heat gun.

    If I realised it was going to be so hard I would have just bought a new ipod, which I have had to anyway because there was no terminals to solder the battery on to.
