Hey everyone. I forgot to mention that the sails are made from just a $0.49 sheet of patterned card stock that I got at my local crafts store. Thanks for watching!

    An impressive build
I really appreciate the fact how you kept your mistakes and changes in to show how easy they are to fix/patch over seamlessly

Removable sails, amazing Idea. Your reasons were super smart

Really good! Maybe a sepia wash on the sails, so they can look less "new"

I know this video is old, but I’m so happy I found it! I am starting a campaign with some friends who have never played before. I haven’t DM’d since I was in middle school (a good decade ago 😅) and I’m looking forward to getting back into it and making a magical experience for my pals :) it’s a pirate campaign so this guy is gonna get a lot of use!

I especially like the way you make the rope. Very good! Also, many people are making things then making them look old and scuffed up, and there is a place for that and I found it kind of cool for a while. I have since grown a bit weary of the "beat up look." So I am glad you did not do that to your ship. Your ship looks somewhat realistic without looking grungy. Very neat and tidy like a ship should be. I like it. I think this is more like something I would make. Great job!

I saw and actually got to go on board a replica of Christopher Columbus's ship the Nina, and the ropes on it were two color. The supports holding up the mast and rigging were soaked in pitch and thus were black. The rigging that actually operated the sails and any thing that was to move was made of Manila Hemp. If you have jute cord, it's the same color.

Your channel is quickly becoming my favorite crafting channel. Your crafts are spot on, you seem really humble, and you get right to crafting without an overlong intro talk. Keep up the good work, and I hope you have luck finding work again.

I've seen jewelry loops used for door handles before but they always used a small bead as the attachment point. Your paper method looks so much better to me. I will definitely be adding it to my crafting arsenal.

It can also be done using some green stuff. I've learnt to prepare some handle with the excess of green stuff that I tend to prepare each time I use it :
      - a small square with a punch hole at each corner
      - prepare a cylinder of green stuff
      - shape the cylinder into a circle
      - place the circle on the square
      - prepare a small rectangle
      - position the rectangle around the top of the circle (using a toothpick)

I'm going to have to build one of these for my players! I tried 3D printing a boat, but it was just too big and clunky. It wasn't very fun to have on the table lol
