don't laugh some those can be good guitars, some of the pickups sound pretty good, if not put a nice dimarzios in it.. fill in that hole, slap some paint or a sticker over it, route it for a Floyd top mount,, call it a day, if it has a good neck it might be a good one .. some of them are
This guitar actually isn’t that bad. The components are not great but the point was to get it for the whammy bar. In the next few weeks you’ll see it come back to life a bit. Then when I’m ready I’ll do a video on the rock lock exclusively. After that this thing will be in the archives for people to experience the difference between a 2300 and this particular fake. Even though I’ve been rough on this thing it isn’t so bad, not nearly as awful as that burnside.
Been waiting for this since your short video! Love "vintage" 80s guitars and amps, it's what I've based my channel around! There's a weird locking trem I've seen on a few 80s japanese made guitars called a Paul F Stroh tremolo system I think you'd be interested. Keep'em coming rexy 🤘
There will be more on this guitar. Three more videos, the next two will be over the next two Saturdays. The last one will depend on a few different factors, but it’s coming and will be entirely about the rock lock. I also will have one in the accutune 2 and the bendmaster as well. I am currently editing a documentary on Kahler because there is no good information on Kahler currently available. Kahler agrees and I have been compiling the information with their sales manager who has verified everything with Gary Kahler himself. That will be coming out very soon. I love these weird whammy bars from the 80s myself. That’s why I’m doing a many of them as I can. I’m always on the hunt for odd ones. I’ll keep my eye out for a Paul F. Stroh, thanks for the tip!
@@REXYLAB yes!!! High mass bridge, and his is yellow and black! He also has a solid red one. Same headstock and the stripes the way they are wavy. Totally the same.
I bought a iron bird with a fake Kahler on it once. Luckily the mounts were placed properly for me to be able to replace it with a real kahler hybrid! 🙏🏻
I bought this one before I met Gary and started doing videos for Kahler but my goal was and still is to have some of the fakes as well as originals. My dream is to be able to have the ability for a bunch of people to get together and discuss how they all compare with guitars that have one of everything on, ready to play. As you can imagine, that’s a lot of guitars!
I got this to show the difference between the accutune 1 and a Kahler. I just finished a huge video on Kahler last night, their entire history. Definitely come back for that one.

The first time ever I hear of Arbor guitars.
They were everywhere in the 80s.
My brother has 2 arbor basses. Explorer shape. There actually pretty awesome!
Anything like this?

Sarcasm is King for whoever thinks that Hetfield shouldn't play any instrument at all...
Huh?
Would love to come across one of those v style arbor bass’ like Dana strum used to play.
Good luck with that. I have never seen one other than when Vinnie Vincent open d for Iron Maiden. And that one wasn’t for sale.
They are hard to find. I have photos. If you cant justify the price, build it with parts. I promise you wont be dissapointed🤘🏻
I look forward to the next video in the series.
Next will be how to clean the guitar, including polishing the frets and reconditioning the fingerboard.
I had an Arbor bass for a bit back in the 80s. Can't wait to see how well that thing gets restored.
Keep watching, there will be a bunch of videos on this one.
Great channel. I would have saved that v as well. Don’t know where you find parts for that. Probably do a trem swap for a real Kahler.🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
