I am not usually an envious type of guy but I am VERY envious of your Studio/Setup. Also having discovered you through the Forzo Demo (which resulted in me buying it), you are clearly not only talented as a Composer but a nice guy. SOOOOO frustrating to have to not find fault .. lol :) Awesome stuff.
to setup all this is required a clear mind and confidence of the best workflow. I have 3 midi controllers + streamdeck xl and was already a nightmare . But funny fact, take a look in the studio of the guy who composed Mission Impossible, it was so simple that i felt humbled
just commenting to recommend these akg k240 mk2 you see at 25:50 to anyone looking for a new pair. These are the absolute "stop worrying about it and just make music" solution.
At around @09:30, how did you get the eq/channel strip/insert area to load in the other computer video monitor? Also, which computer monitors are those? I'm shopping for some.
so.... since it's all knobs, you can't save a mix to work on it later? I don't know how you save all those settings then work on any other project the next day. Can someone explain? Jason? Craig? Anyone?
With some analog gear and pedals you definitely can't recall settings and most either write them down to take pictures. Some gear like he mentioned has software that works with it and those I believe can save presets.
Thank you for doing this inspiring tour! I always wonder what was the total spend necessary for such a studio setup and all the work done to make it happen... how many successful scores would you need to be able to afford such a room? :D
Great setup! It's giving me inspiration for my own. Hope you can answer a few questions. 1. What software are you running on the ipad to control cubase? 2. How are you routing the strymons into cubase as a hardware insert and back? 3. What converters are you using to get so many channels? Thanks!
Is it really a must to have tons of devices and external stuff?? I only have my vsts and I feel I can do anything he's able to do. If the piano and Nord lead sound can be replicated :)
It’s about efficient workflow. Working on game audio with hundreds of tracks and transitions requires moving really quick and not spending an hour finding a vst for one sound.
Jesus. This may be the most ergonomic studio ever. Super inspiring.
One of the kindest soul in the composer sphere, thanks for the tour! Love to see the evolution from your previous studios :)
This guy has got it together! Everything plugged in and ready to go... great idea.
Definitely!
Great Video! Would have liked to know why all Jason's tracks in Cubase are purple?
Wow! I'm completely blown away! This is very impressive-absolutely phenomenal-especially for a one-man studio! Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic, this might be the most amazing synth-oriented studio I've seen.
Thanks so much for sharing! gorgeous! wow😍
So that's how the finished studio looks like...freaking gorgeous. Also, I really need to try that pedal to record-trick!

Thank you for the video!! :)) What software is running on the iPad to control cubase? Plssss
I believe the software he is using is Metagrid.
@@SoundironAudio THANKS A TON

Whoa! Let's go!
Your studio is amazing Jason, es muy inspirador para mi,
Dude is so cool

You mean Lalo Schifrin? 😄
Insane one man studio.
Amazing thanks
Thanks for watching!
Really wonderful look into the music world of Jason Graves
Thanks for watching, Mark!

Very well organised 👍
i loved the book shelves, an essential element that misses in some studios….. Principally with some scores. In this regard i am blessed ;)
Jason Graves has some very cool toys!

@@SoundironAudio ok, thanks. yeah prob bigger units have something like system dump to save settings like MIDI etc. thanks!!!
Most outboard gets recorded live, in real-time. So it's already printed for recall :)
What a killer shirt though!
Was looking for a comment about that! Cats on synthesisers in space :-)
what is the synth in 22:19? the one on his t-shirt.
How are the displays and usb ports run from the machine room to the studio?
That all looked pretty but uh... how does it sound?
That would be way too long of a video!
@@SoundironAudio yeah, probably
@@TruthSurgeCheck out one of the many brilliant scores he mentioned throughout.

We're glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
😂
Did I miss the interface(s) & converters?

Jasper stands are germsn yes.
Nice
What are the broadcast mic stands he is using? I can't seem to find one that can hold up my mics
In the video he mentioned that they were K&M stands. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1641909-REG/k_m_23850_321_55_microphone_desk_arm_black.html
Nice tour. Only problem: the patches/instruments he shows at different times are almost inaudible, only the voice cuts out
Anyone know what screen brand/model he is using at the piano ? is it the Samsung S34J550WQR 34 ?

Soundiron made awesome strings and will help you earn money to have such fancy sophistication ;)
The Prophet is crying a bit due to lack of exploration.
