A drummer that's been recognized as one of the 500 best drummers who have have ever lived and you need the comment section to not feel silly for recognizing that very same fact? Okey doke. (smh)
@@don7294 Anybody too ashamed to like something ON THEIR OWN, without feeling embarrassed or ridiculous, is probably a ridiculous person to begin with. Michael Jackson was 9 years old when he and his brothers shot to superstardom. They were a household name and some of the most talented musicians Motown had ever produced. Being embarrassed to like Yoyoka without other people feeling the same way, is like being embarrassed to like the Jackson 5 and THAT is plain crazy.

Many times they don't get how rare and impressive this sort of thing is and just walk away thinking I'm creepy. They may even comment on how good the musician is but still think I'm creepy for liking it. So I understand the original commentor's apprehension.
@@MegaHogzilla First of all the original commenter didn't mention creepiness or perversion. That's YOU projecting whatever is going on in your circles onto him. He distinctly used the words "ridiculous and embarrassed" which do not remotely have the same connotations as the words you brought into the mix. And honestly if the peer group you try to share Yoyoka's talent with jumps to those conclusions about you for sharing her music with them, then you need to find a new set of friends, sincerely... unless they know something about you that would make their minds head in that direction. Unless you're sharing her videos with strangers you meet on the street, you're sharing them with friends and colleagues and if that's how your friends think of you for sharing a damned drum video, then you have WAY BIGGER issues than a kid's drum videos to address in your camp. I saw her play last weekend. Great show with a lovely tribute to Jeff Beck as a closer. She's been working hard on her English and had quite a lot to say to the audience. She made it very clear she was tired at the end 😉
Yoyoka, I never thought I would hear such a cover of Achilles last stand by Led Zep, thank you, thank you, thank you, you're the best, I'm really speechless.
Perfect doubles, and ghost notes. Some, with enough practice could get it, but she goes beyond that. Technical, and emotional, is hard to pull off. What a treat.
It think it is her dynamic hits she does. She controls her sticks very well to the point of conveying emotions when she hits those skins. She is very rhythmic.
Bonham once said "Play the Music, NOT the Drums". The important take-away, is play it how you hear it, and within your ability. He would have approved !
Exactly! In an interview that Yoyoka did when she was 10, she was asked what advice she had for kids wanting to learn to play drums. She said (translated) 'Forget the drums. Just express yourself. The sticks will find them.'
Those 2 seconds from 2:48 should scare you, all of you. Watch that about 50 times in a row and you'll start to notice how she's perfectly ahead of her hands with her head movements, torso, shoulders and her wrists. There is no besting her, physically, because she's perfect. She can't yet hit as hard as Bonham did but she'll reach that in time. If you're out there thinking you're up to something untouchable, all she has to do is decide it's interesting enough to her to spend the time on and she will have it. As Yoyoka grows she's not just developing - she's stalking all of you who have any chance of ever being on the cover of any drum related anything. She's a sober Buddy Rich who can take on anyone on the planet by the age of 12, not 36. She will be the greatest drummer of all time.
Im not a drummer but being a guitar player who jams with a good drummer I'm trying to understand the drums, the approach ,the inside stuff. I didn't know what a ghost note or the pocket was so I'd ask my friend. I'd also scroll down all her video comments and I knew she was special.
..still..incredible, after nearly a year of being in constant awe of what she produces week after week. (Only discovered Yoyoka last October, alas!) No one I have ever seen play *is* the music like Yoyoka.

Easily the most difficult Zeppelin song to play on drums. Im am just glad young people are still listening to Zeppelin, especially the "non-commercial" songs they released. Well done. Out on the Tiles is one of my favorite Bonham/Jones grooves too.
I think in a way its better that they dont get much radio play these days... young people can go to it totally open, with no influence from hacks that don't understand what they're listening to.
@@donsurlylyte no doubt man, no doubt. They sure knew how to take a good song and make you despise hearing it for a decade or two. To this day, whenever I start picking the first bit of Stairway, I keep waiting for someone to take away my guitar and smash it over my head.
Watching this for the 2nd time, just noticed something... look at the lower left window... look at Yoyoka's calf muscles! Holy crap! No wonder she hits that kick like Bonham! My god, she's got the lower leg development of Simone Biles! She could probably dunk a basketball if she used that muscle to jump! Never noticed that before but now it all makes sense.
You are so incredibly talented to see young kids play rock today brings tears to my eyes . To know that the music I love will never die . As long as there are kids coming up to keep it alive
I used to think Bonham was the best that ever lived, with peart right behind him. But I foresee this little girl taking the kingdom from both of them. Her talent brings tears of joys to my eyes.
Neither of them are even close to the best drummers ever...They're great and were instrumental in my development as a drummer in the 70's and 80's but; technically; they're middle of the pack...Any of Zappa's drummers are technically better... As well in Rock, Ian Paice, Carl Palmer, Simon Phillips, Billy Cobham, et al... Buddy Rich, and almost the entire jazz drummer collective...Technically...Bonzo is a powerful and melodic drummer with amazing chops; and Neil, God rest both their souls, is the same way with a bit less power...But; his writing is what makes him the greatest lyric writing drummer ever.. Yoyoko is playing well above her age...If she sticks with it; she could be a great drummer; I hope she spends the time to learn her instrument...When she's playing Caravan, or One Word from Mahavishnu Orchestra, I'll be impressed...
@Guitar TV I don't understand why I'm getting corrective feedback about being happy that a child is talented at her craft. Bonham is my favorite of all time and btw, he once copied his idols too, right? I.e. gene krupa, etc.
John Bonham is widely considered to be the greatest rock drummer ever. And this is thought by many to be his greatest drum performance. This young girl nails it perfectly. 'Nuff said!

I just turned 60 years old and I was about Yoyoka's age now when this song hit the airwaves ! FM radio was in its infancy and only a few and far between rock stations could be found but when you did you got to experience songs and albums in their entirety and I remember this one on WABX Detroit as if it were only yesterday! And Yoyoka, as I have stated here quite a few times, you NEVER cease to amaze me!!!! You have now reached a level that has no words to describe it! It goes without saying that all kinds of drugs were pretty damn prevalent back in the 70's but now that I older and hopefully just a bit wiser, whenever I need a quick "pick me up" my "drug of choice" is the latest Yoyoka video! You keep rockin' little one.....We love ya here in Balmy Las Vegas, Nevada!

I have been watching this girl now since she was 9 or so. I feel like a proud father.
She is amazing and when I was learning RATM's Bulls on Parade, she was my inspiration - so fun to watch 🫶
Well said. I stumbled upon her during the covid lock down. Guitar ,amp, UA-cam and Yoyoka.
From first to last beat no let-up chronicling Achilles' mighty stride to legend...
Yoyoka is simply on another groove level 🤘🎶
I've been depressed lately, went to my doctor and he prescribed 1 yoyoka video a day to help. Thanks doc, it worked but now I turned into addict!😁
Yoyoka absolutely helped me out of a depressive state, so much so I took up the drums a few months ago at 61
@@Rob-Yule She always lifts my spirits! 😁
Same here at 63 I bought a practice pad and practice my rudiments. Why? Yoyoka!
@@chrisegbertky I found a Pearl Export kit near mint on FB marketplace for cheap. Drum lessons every two weeks
@@Rob-Yule gotta have a Pearl kit naturally!
Hi
Pau from The Warning is the best drummer in the world ..she would this while singing the part also at the same time
A masterpiece, played by a master!
Ten minutes and forty one seconds of joy. Thank you Yoyoka,
There are so many young girl drummers around the world. Yoyoka will always be at the top of the list.
待望のAchilles Last Stand。
She will be the greatest drummer of all time.
she is a powerhouse indeed with incredible speed and timing. that roll was insanely good :)
Im not a drummer but being a guitar player who jams with a good drummer I'm trying to understand the drums, the approach ,the inside stuff. I didn't know what a ghost note or the pocket was so I'd ask my friend. I'd also scroll down all her video comments and I knew she was special.
She’s simply amazing! I’m still shocked how she did “Good times bad Times”, and We’re an American Band” by Grand Funk Railroad!
..still..incredible, after nearly a year of being in constant awe of what she produces week after week. (Only discovered Yoyoka last October, alas!)
No one I have ever seen play *is* the music like Yoyoka.
Although John Bonham is not actually with us, thanks for keeping him here.
Already at this age Yoyoka is one of the top drummers on this planet. Imagine her in her twenties. Bands would line up to get her...
MASTERFULLY DONE. YOU ARE A GREAT DRUMMER YOYOKA. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE NEXT SONG YOU DO WILL BE. I 🥁🥁🎶🎵🎧🤟👍👍

Yoyoka climbs Mt Everest on a daily basis. Beyond perfection, she serves up love.
@@If6turnsouttobe9 also, they havent had to listen to stairway ad nauseum, like we did back in the day- taken fresh they can see how big zep was.
@@donsurlylyte no doubt man, no doubt. They sure knew how to take a good song and make you despise hearing it for a decade or two. To this day, whenever I start picking the first bit of Stairway, I keep waiting for someone to take away my guitar and smash it over my head.
@@If6turnsouttobe9 Zeppelin gets as much airplay now as they ever did, both terrestrial and satellite…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOYOKA! Your fans worldwide are following your progression and cheering you on!
Love your work little sister!!! ❤ 🎼🎵🎵🥁🎶🎶🥁🥁🎵🥁🎵🎶♥️
Ive covered this song myself after listening to it for 20 years. Its pretty much impossible. Unbelievable job on it!!!
That was her only on camera attempt. No edits.
@@indexer69 This was her 4th attempt in a row. I don't know if they taped the previous 3 before they decided to tape the performance.
@@1flash3571 Yoyoka wrote "This was shot with one take and no edit."
@@indexer69 I NEVER said she edited it. She either "practiced" it 3 times and filmed it on her 4th try or she filmed it 4 times and got the best put on YT. Not sure if you can comprehend or not?....
@@indexer69 Flash is mostly correct. This is her 4th take in a row. They recorded every one of them, because she just kept playing it back to back to get a clean take. This play through, #4, was the best one, so this is the one that got posted.
One take means that this upload is not a stitched together edit from the other recordings. It's one straight play through.
Now, if you can't process that very simple math, I can't help you homie.
A fitting tribute to a great drummer, by a great drummer. Thankyou Yoyoka.
I've seen exactly one drummer better than Neil Peart (too young to have seen Bonham): Ginger Baker!
@Guitar TV :)...A voice of reason among a sea of emotion...:)...Kudos!
@Guitar TV I don't understand why I'm getting corrective feedback about being happy that a child is talented at her craft. Bonham is my favorite of all time and btw, he once copied his idols too, right? I.e. gene krupa, etc.
She makes alot of mistakes on this song
What else to say? It's the closest you can come in this day and age to bringing John Bonham into your living room. Brilliant performance, Yoyoka!
I'm blown away! She's the best! ⚡⚡🔥🔥😎
Led Zeppelin masterpiece..to watch her handle 3:30 to 5:15...her talent is phenomenal and inspiring!
John Bonham is widely considered to be the greatest rock drummer ever. And this is thought by many to be his greatest drum performance. This young girl nails it perfectly. 'Nuff said!
HOLY HELL....COMPLETELY INCREDIBLE
Please get Jimmy Page, Plant, JPJ and Yoyoka on the stage.
@Richard Harrold Has never stopped Paul Stanley from cashing in.
@@leokimvideo That's why Zeppelin are legends and Kiss are hacks.
@Richard Harrold They should just do it and not for the money but for the legions of fans who supported them for decades. The awesomeness would be legendary.
@@leokimvideo thats because he sucks
Forget the reunion stuff. If you guys didn’t see it…Robert Plant has reacted to Yoyoka. He said “ I know where she can get a job”, with a smile on his face. He thought she was incredible for her young age… and she is.
Yes, but if you just turned 60, then you were 15 or 16 when this album came out. She’s only 11.
Actually, The year was 1976 and it was Zeppelins 7th album and I had just turned fifteen years old. And yes, you are exactly right knowing Yoyoka is 11 and about to turn 12 next week.....HENCE the word "about" in my statement. Now go take a chill pill Einstein and get some sleep....
I'm 60 as well. And a huge Zeppelin fan all my life. The Presence album came out in 1976 when we were both in highschool. I still remember unwrapping it and placing it on the turntable. We were 15.
@@raymondsearch5289 Right On! My fellow brother! And we both did something right....We ar both still alive and breathing! Take care....
Thank you to her parents for supporting her! She has the "it factor" of a true genius.
Always a great pleasure to see Yoyoka playing as a true professional and seeing her growing up year by year as an accomplish performer. It makes my day each time I watch her performance. Thanks from France.
Absolutely incredible unbelievable but yet believable speechless don't know what to say just shut up and listen
John Bonham has a new challenge. Every time I see her as the years go on she gets better and better. Her parents must be proud but I hope it makes her happy because it’s her life. What a musician. Fan tastic!

So true!
It's amazing how she catches every detail like the hats at the end WOW
Wow that was superb. Very different feel: dark, moody and technical. I love how fully "in" the music you are with this song, and your limb independence is amazing! I really enjoyed this performance.
I second that "limb independence". I think it's one of the things that makes her so fascinating to watch.
Her right hand is getting at least 4 sounds out of 3 cymbals. And that's just one fraction of this performance.
Yoyoka!!!! Absolutely awesome!!! You just continue to blow us away with your precision!! John Bonham is my favorite drummer of all time! Have always loved this song!!! Absolutely astonishing rendition!!!

It's still skipping along! :)
John would be amazed at such a tribute! Thank you, Yoyoka for honoring the music. You bring me much happiness!!!
I would be happy to buy tickets to a show with only Yoyoka doing nothing but covers.
