The OFALA FESTIVAL IS A CULTURAL EVENT HELD YEARLY BY THE OBI OF ONITSHA. The festival helds some what in September/October every year. It is a very very colourful festival where the Obi of Onitsha and the people of Onitsha celebrate their kingdom and cultural heritage. The Igbo's have other kings such as the Igwe of NNEWI, the Kings of Arochukwu, etc. Onitsha is a highly COMMERCIAL AND BUSINESS CITY. Other cities in Anambra state are NNEWI, where motor vehicles are made and car and motor bike accessories are manufactured. Awka is the administrative capital of Anambra state, while Onitsha is the commercial capital. Anambra state is a largely industrial state and is 96% Christian population. The Igbo's will generally travel home each year especially during the Christmas period to celebrate at their HOME TOWNS with family and friends.
Interesting and educative content I learnt alot from it. I am from Bayelsa State and I feel the information provided with regards to my state was too limited and centred around commercialisation of Natural gas. So, beyond being the fist place where oil was discovered in commercial quantity in Nigeria, there are several tribes, with rich culture, language, and heritage within the state. Yes, the area Bayelsa is located is at the basin of the Delta (Niger-Delta) making it prone to flood. However, we still have roads and other social amenities to an extent (Not like we all live on water). Additionally, we are fisher men, and have several fishing camps around the riverien areas and we various fishing festivals as well. To conclude, Bayelsa is a great place to visit, with lots of tourist attractions and festivals especially during December, we are very hospitable people.
You can find people from all tribes everywhere in Nigeria, but we have our state of Origin like our ancestral land. South East is the Igbo ancestral land, but they are the most travelled of all Nigerian tribes.
I am from the South-South region, Delta state popularly nicknamed the Big Heart. I am Isoko by ethnicity from Isoko North LGA. We are known for our hospitality, love for community, farming, fishing, production of palm oil and kernels. Our language is of the kwa branch of Niger-Congo family.
Well, the igbos are not only in the South east, they are also found in all the South Southern states and the north Central states of Kogi and benue just that the narrators didn't give such information.. practically igbos are in Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Delta, Edo, akwaibom, crossriver, rivers, bayelsa, Benue and kogi states, they are 100% occupants of imo, Enugu, abia, Ebonyi, and Anambra while in the other aforementioned states they are mixed with other tribes...
Don't even bother yourself replying them. Any history about Nigeria that a Yoruba is involved. They always give bias information about other regions. In Yoruba region, they mentioned Wole Soyinka, University, Music, NTA, and Cocoa house which they lied that is the first skyscraper in Africa. But when they get to other region, they pretended they forget other information about that region.

I am from Yorùbá land. Home of hospitality, social cohesion and religious tolerance. We have the longest coastline in Nigeria which rivals that of many West African countries. Our region is the most balanced in the whole of Nigeria as we have almost all the mineral and abundant human resources in the right proportion. The southwest and by extension Yorùbá land is the only region in West African that extends across more than one climatic zone. We have got the coastal regions, rainforest regions, guinea savannah and sudan savannah. This makes our region the home of both floral and fauna diversity. We are also the safest and most economically viable region in the country with our state, Lagos originally known as Èkó being the economic nerve center of Yorùbá land and by extension Nigeria. The Igbo are popular in Nigeria because they are mainly in the Southwest which is Yorùbá land. Almost half of their population is outside the southeast with a lot of that in the Southwest.

I appreciate you guys taking time to actually research and learn about Nigeria and Africa as a whole because I've been seeing a recent wave of our AA brothers and sisters ridiculing Africans because of some out of pocket videos that represents less than 0.1% of the African population.
I'm from Taraba State. My tribe and Language is Munga-Doso
Cool.
Worth knowing that much of south south are historically part of Igbo/south East area. The “south south” region was politically created
I’m from the south south Region From Edo state to be precise .
My state has a monarch that is known world wide , and also we own most of the artifacts stolen from Nigeria and taken to d museums in the uk and most pasts of the world Nigeria has a diverse culture , and each tribe has their own delicacy also .
We have different ethic tribes in Edo but the Benin’s re also referred to as the Edos same way the others re . Like he said the Benin Empire “Monarch” was what I talked about before
You shd check also about the Igue festival of the benins
There is also a village called igue in Iwan East LGA
Fact
There is something going on these days. Nigeria seems to be trending a lot on social media. I will like to visit one day.
Nigeria have alot of states, that is very good ❤
I hope it wouldn't be surprising to know that even though we are all Nigerians we do not understand each others local language except you take extra step to learn, hence we communicate with English as our lingua franca.
Important point
21:19 hey Sierra. Igbos are from south east. We work all over the country but south east is our home. You got it Sierra.👍🏾. Those are our ancestral lands.
I'm from the south south region. Akwaibom state, ikot ekpene local government.
We are amazing people. Beautiful woman, delicious food, amazing culture, interesting festivals etc
I'm from Lagos state the centre of excellence. Originally from Awori tribe in Badagry area of Lagos. Thanks for reacting to this video
Please note that the ijaws are the 4th largest ethnic groups in Nigeria. They are found in ondo, delta, rivers, Akwa ibom and Edo states.
Ijaw in akwaibom?
Fulani is the 4th,
Ibibio have more population than Ijaw. Even Tiv, Edo etc
@@AnyanwuSIjaw is the 4th my dear.
Love your videos. Even though we're concentrate and originated from the South East, Igbo people are very industrious and really go wherever the money or business is so we're pretty widely spread across the whole country.
I'm from the South -South region of Nigeria, Rivers state in particular(Treasure base of the nation) we are very hospitable people . 36 states well analyzed in one video 😍
Plateau state has about indigenous 54 languages, none of which is Hausa or Fulani. How geography got Hausa/fulani and +40 others is surprising
The Igbos are in Delta State, Akwa Ibom, Cross River states too
Nigeria is a blessing to the world I so much love that country . If you don't go to Nigeria you will never know how Unique that country is. That's why the UK get jealous of Nigeria a lot.
Thank you, Sir 👍
I’m from the south south region, Cross River to be precise, we usually have the biggest street carnival in December.
Fact
The Igbo people are predominantly from the south east but they can be found in all parts of the country especially in the Northern part of Nigeria
When it comes to hospitality, fun and adventures, the Igbos got you. All other tribes come down here for safety. Proud o be Igbos.
I wish you guys can come to nigeria we love u here and it will be an honour ❤
I am from Abia State, 36 states of Nigeria well Analyzed in few minutes, nice video.
Loud it bro..
Thank you for that snippet . That's my home state
Im from imo state and its basically the Capital of Igbo land ❤
I don't know if you have done this already but you can check out Tayo Aina's vlogs from his time in Akwa Ibom State.
I think we have reacted to atleast one of them. We’ll check out more soon.
I love my country 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Anambra where I'm form❤
I'm Igbo from Anambra and the Igbo people are scattered all over the world, there are Igbo people everywhere in Nigeria
How are they 100% occupants, are they not accommodating.
@@isholabing I think he meant 100% indigenous no 100% occupants. Igbo states are not generally shared states, but there are definitely people who are not Igbo living there.
No need to try and take a dig at the Igbo's, dear. Shola.
The igbos in others states such as delta state edo state and more they’re all migrants who are living there delta state we don’t have igbo but we do have igbo migrants who are now claiming to be part of us because that’s what you people always do you go to other people land and you claimed to be part of them when you are not
@@eagleview4940 kindly read again what you just posted.
So the Anioma people of Delta state are not Igbo's?
They Identify themselves as "DELTA IGBO".
The key word being Igbo in Delta state.
Delta Igbo. At least there is Delta in the Igbo.
Anambra state, the land of Igbo entrepreneurs, industrialists and billionaires. Word smith and father of African literature Chinua Achebe author of Things Fall Apart, Zik of Africa, Emeka Ojukwu and endless list of timbers and calibre of men come from this state.
You have all men of timber and calibre until you mentioned Emeka Ojukwu, oh no!

@@uzoejekwumadu7731 Thank you for giving up! I did not see any intellectual response from you. Odumegu Ojukwu has caused you people a whole hell, even up till today! You can't say somebody who destroyed the river niger bridge connection Asaba with the East, who went to Benin City to pillage the banks and killed people in Midwest State is someone the South-South would have any iota of dignity for!
Here comes Nnamdi Kanu, and he is here again handling your agitation very badly! Tomorrow you will dignify him? The killing in your East, is that not enough? Discuss your agitation politically and peacefully...! These are where my frustration comes from, my brother! Sorry about all the cursing! Very, very sorry!!!
Nigeria is diverse alongside her population. We got all tribes ranging from the niger -Congo languages, the bantu, and the afro-asiatic languages . Meanwhile, I'm from ondo state the sunshine state loacateɗ in the south western Nigeria we've got the highest number of the Yoruban dialect we also have non-yoruba speaking tribe like the ijaw/ Apoi. The state plays host to the largest bitumen in Nigeria. Ondo State is also an oil producing state on Nigeria and has one of the largest coastline in Nigeria.
It's quite interesting seeing most of the SW States starting with the alphabet "O" e.g Ogun,Osun Ondo ,Oyo . With the exception of Ekiti and Lagos States
Dude did not do justice to my beautiful Cross River State.
He wouldn't want the video to be too long, lots of states to go through 😅
I'm from Ogoni in Rivers State the e only ethnic group without sister or brother with the same language or culture in Nigeria, we are wise strong and confident.
Thank you so much for showing Nigeria to the world.❤❤❤

Jamaica has a village called Abeokuta.
Jamaica 🇯🇲 also has a high school named after Calabar in Cross Rivers State, Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Really. Just hearing this for the first time. Wow...
@andersonojoshimite6047 that's news to me. I'm going to do some checks. We all closer than we think.
@andersonojoshimite6047 It was named after the Kalabari Kingdom later anglicized by the British to Calabar, in present-day Nigeria. Good history lesson. Thanks.
@@andersonojoshimite6047It was named after the ancient Kalabari Kingdom that was once located there but subsequently moved to the now Rivers state.

Dear bro and sister Demouchet,
Please do a series about the North which comprises Twenty States of the Federation.
2. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja is located in the North.
Northern Nigeria is truly à fascinating place with a rich history dating millenaire!
3. The NOK Civilization (1500 BC) started there!
4. Northern Nigeria comprises Twenty (20) out of Nigeria's Thirty-Six (36) States.
5. The Physical and Cultural landscapes are simply out of this World. You must see the Palace of each of the Emirs (Traditional Rulers or Kings).
6. The North comprises Nineteen (19) States or the Three Geo-Political Zones of the *North-East;
*North-Central and
*North-West;
They are incredibly important to the Federation of Nigeria. Ancient EMPIRES such as SONGHAI had trade relations with Kano located in North Central Nigeria!
7. North East Nigeria (part of the KANEM-BORNO EMPIRE) shares heritage with Chad and Cameroun. The current Nigerian Paramount Ruler from the Kanem-Borno system is The Shehu of Borno whose palace is located in Maiduguri. (North East Nigeria is home to Ethnic Nationalities that include KANURIS, LAPANG, BABURA/BURAF, MAFA, MARGHI, SOME, FULANI, SHUWA ARABS etc.
8. The Vice-President President of Nigeria, Kashim Shetimma is a Kanuri from the North- East!
9. Among other fun facts about Northern Nigeria is KANNYWOOD!
The indigenous film industry based in Kano.
10. Finally, bro and sis Demouchets you must include Abuja, Kaduna and Kano in your visits to Nigeria.
With regard to the South, other go-to locations apart from Lagos State are Akwa Ibom State with capital Uyo, (South-South) , Abia State with capital Umuahia (South-East) where the Civil War Musuem is located.
Cheers!
The Delta one is slightly wrong, we have Igbos who are indigenous to the state
I am a Nigerian from the niger delta south south part of Nigeria akwa ibom state my language we speak ibibio
I am from Jos plateau state (North Central Region) we have the best weather in the whole country (I am being objective 😂😂) people come and they never wanna go back that’s why we are the home of peace and tourism not until some visitors became greedy and wanted to take the land and eliminate the owners. Now there is crisis time to time instead of peace and tourism. Still a beautiful place with courageous people. May God help us
Please inform these people that hausa/fulani are not the largest ethnic group in your state
@@candicenoir6359 exactly! The Hausa Fulani people in Jos, Plateau State are not indigenous and definitely not the largest. For ethnic groups we have Tarok, Afizere, Berom, Anaguta, Mupun, Irigwe, Ron, Ngas, Jar, Goemai and so many more.

Imo has the largest gas deposit in the whole African
The most important things about the South South and South East was not mentioned
I'm also surprised that the yankari game reserve in bauchi state was not mentioned. Zakibiam in benue state produces enough yams to feed the whole of west Africa. The kwahir puppet theater which has existed for centuries is also from the tiv people of benue state....
Really but why primitive and backward is order of the day in the land and why they are close to poverty
All correct 💯
It’s part of their agenda to de-market Igbos. The tribal bigot put West and North first to fit their political tribal leanings. Ethnic gingoist
Although the igbos occupy a small geographical location, their population is huge. You find them in huge numbers all over Nigeria and the world. I am proudly from Edo state!
Fact.
They don't know how to stay one place

Nigeria is the largest populated country in Africa and the the largest population of Black people in the whole world. In Nigeria you could see people of similar facial, body and hair structure of Africans from the East, south, west and part of north Africa in Nigeria. These are ethnic and tribal group of people merged together during the Colonial scramble for Africa and later Called Nigeria. Nigeria is so diverse and have so many languages that the common language spoken is the pidgin Engish and the Oficial language is English. It is said that one out of every five persons of African origin is a Nigerian. Nigeria hold a very important place for black people.
