I know the whole Primus sucks deal, but in all seriousness, they really are the most unique and talented band ever. I have no words to describe it. Best band ever
@@Cokerboy1313 ....I think he knows about the primus sucks deal (as stated), but still took the time to explain how great they are....there,, genius.....you'll be ok...
I was at this show. moe. played a hellatious 70's style rock and roll show right before and then Primus took us into Beefheart territory. The firworks at the end capped it off. A truly great evening of music!
man, if you havent seen them i totally recommend the Hallucino Genetics show with them, its here on UA-cam and even on DVD! Thats their peak if you ask me! GREAT fucking music!
What an a amazing festival that was. The lineup that night was unreal. Still a bit spooky with what happened after Pretty Light's said "tomorrow is not a promise" and then that tragedy happened hours later.
Just los i've been painting my kitchen for the last one your and a half , first time listener , they have a friendly and catchie Tunes, las í have not once thought about changing it , í like it , alot lol
another bonus as I did not know who Pretty Lights was so to my amazement on three pills of ecstasy and four hits a bomb bladder I found out who Pretty Lights was real quick to the break of dawn what are the best shows ever
@@lucidshadows666 he plays 4 string on the album version of that song too actually. There's some early live vids of them playing it right when it came out and he has the 4 string
I find it hilarious that Les auditioned for Metallica. He was told by the band that he was too good for them. Rob Trillijo is an awesome bassist but his best work was with Suicidals and Infectious Grooves. Still, they could have at least produced a track with Les. I think he auditioned as a joke.
They didn't take him because metal wasn't really his style. Plus his look clashed with the rest of the band. He went into the audition joking if they'd be up for covering some Isley Brothers tunes lol.
The guys from Metallica let him audition out of respect for Les. They also said he was too good as another sign of respect for Les. Les would have no problem playing their material but it would not have been a good fit. I look back at it as they both have a ton of respect for one another. Glad Les didn’t get the gig anyway.
I remember this show well. I had a different drug in every pocket, ate an alligator burrito, and after some chicks painted me, I started calling myself "Un-Chak Machembe, Cosmic Warrior of the Sun-verse."
I know the whole Primus sucks deal, but in all seriousness, they really are the most unique and talented band ever. I have no words to describe it. Best band ever
Perfectly articulated!
I couldn’t agree. They were the first band I ever loved. I spent an entire summer mowing yards to earn money to buy Primus cds.
You have no idea about the whole “Primus sucks deal” if you have to explain how great they are. Durrrrr

@@Breathemusic4202 Primus Sucks!
Wish I could back to this fest. Man Vibes and Allgood were by far the best fests ever!!
Good lord. What virtuosos. Just perfection. Mad respect. What else can be said. & god bless LaLonde's humble aesthetic.
Thee, Awakening?! In the middle of Tommy the Cat?!!
No kidding!? Awesome!
Thanks.
the primus intro is one of the greatest compositions ever
Danny Elfman - Clown Dream

I wish I could go back in time to this night over and over again!!!

One of the best nights of my life. Yonder into Primus

I live right next to where they had this concert. God I wish I would have went
Gracias por subirlo, de esta gira que los vi en Buenos Aires en el Micro Estadio Malvinas... cruzaba el charco a nado igual. Superior recital!!!
2010, no? estaba la.... pero no tocaran Duchess :( y STP en luna park
great band , ingenious in the way they set up the stage and make the crowd anticipate .
My first Primus show! I was on the hill with a camelbak full of wine i was using as a pillow for the second half of the set!
this was my first time seeing primus. I was candyflipping so hard. super wonky set.
This is 🔥
I’ve been a Primus fan since 1996 and this is the first time I’ve heard Ler speak. Haha
and then he walks back to playing like god himself
First time i heard him speak was in person, he actually gave me the picks he used for the show
I live a mile or two over the hill from where this was, and these guys brought me there!
Woah really? Did you ever go in previous years?
Incredible show, truly Primus at the peak of their powers right here.
man, if you havent seen them i totally recommend the Hallucino Genetics show with them, its here on UA-cam and even on DVD! Thats their peak if you ask me! GREAT fucking music!
That improvisation, during "Tommy the cat" is awesome!
It wasn't improv its a song les did with his orhe band the song is the Awakening
And also, Awakening is actually not a song written by Les but 80's funk band The Reddings
Excellent, nice sound quality...wish the video was captured a bit more clear, but still, excellent...a god job ....
What an a amazing festival that was. The lineup that night was unreal. Still a bit spooky with what happened after Pretty Light's said "tomorrow is not a promise" and then that tragedy happened hours later.
I like it when shit gets weird. Which is pretty much all the time with Primus. I like it alot.
Somebody with the power to do so should totally post the video from the 2015 Primus All Good set.
jajajaja "ni del sombrero de Claypool" me causo gracia
gracias por subir el concierto :D
larry lalonde es un chingon!
Les Claypool, the inventor of the bass solo
This got me fried up like a big ole buttery biscuit, and it didn't just suck. It blew.

PRIMUS WAS GREAT ALL GOOD FESTIVAL 2011 !!!
2021 was at show still love it
cool setlist. cool versions. so free and yet they nailed it to the point. great interaction.
"Shine on you crazy diamond" is to Pink Floyd as "Harold of the rocks" is to Primus
Lol. This band makes me happy. nuf said
52:46 I love over the falls
I was there in the front left, this place is less than 15 minutes from my house and it was quite magical
Oddly enough the break down reminded me of the Mars Volta's first album. Ler was using some different soloing patterns than usual. Love it.
Just los i've been painting my kitchen for the last one your and a half , first time listener , they have a friendly and catchie Tunes, las í have not once thought about changing it , í like it , alot lol
The extended version of Eleven was so great :)
i think this was the best concert ever.
A pretty good one indeed but Rhinoplasty live in Petaluma was the best of all time.
I'd love Primus for no other reason than being so weird. But damn, they can jam.
Les is a fucking god and i have him to thank since learning more primus on bass has sky rocketed my ability this past year
Did not see these Mustangs on Larry’s rig rundown! (Lee Van Cleef/Over the Falls)
maldita sea! adoro a estos cabrones, sólo falta tim en la bataca para q sea perfecto.

Fuck ya dude. I was there. Best night at a festival ever man!!!
I was waiting for John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Road" and got the Pretty Lights remix in the wee early morning hour. What great memories!
aw yeah. Color Map is a masterpiece
This was the first big Festival I took my girlfriend to and it was the first time Primus played in years
Interesting simplified version of the bassline in Duchess, wonder why
It may be because the song was originally written for 6 string and he's on his 4 stringer on this one.
@@lucidshadows666 he plays 4 string on the album version of that song too actually. There's some early live vids of them playing it right when it came out and he has the 4 string
