The Sopranos is such a brilliantly written, directed and acted show, that on a 5th rewatch, you can still pick up certain new things you never paid attention too. It's like a gigantic painting, so many storylines in it, so many details and it logically all comes together in a big picture. I can not stress enough how much of a masterpiece the Sopranos is.

It’s crazy how Don is obviously the best person of these three since he isn’t a violent murderer. But I feel as though he might have been the worst father of the 3. Or he cares the least for them. Tony and Walter just can’t figure it out while Don can’t bother to figure it out.

the stanford prison experiment is widely known to have bias and failed methods; it was more a result of the particular type of people they put in a particular type of situation with lots of outside manipulation. humans are certainly malleable, but not innately cruel.

I never thought of Tony Soprano as an "anti-hero" - he was the protagonist of the story, but a VILLAIN.
Time and time again, he goes through his personal problems and you might relate to that and feel sorry for him, and blame his upbringing, but in the end, he is just going to show his villainous true colours. He'll harm people to get ahead, he'll harm people to get out of trouble, and he'll even harm people just because he feels emotionally bruised and wants to make himself feel better by making someone else feel worse.

I thought nostalgia entailed a vision about future even though the concept is about the past. It entails the aspirations of young people working towards a goal. So I thought I can name it 'nostalgia'. I thought anti heroes did not possess a nostalgic view where everything is in harmony, things have a worth.
recetly I have come to the conclusion that it would be more correct to name it 'satisfaction'. So to sum it up I could assert that the anti hero lacks satisfaction, satisfaction being a vision about the future. she does not have a meaningful end goal, no 'happily ever after'. You claim they possess traits of the dark triad, what about satisfaction, would they ever be satisfied?
