      She did steal the money to pay Ted, I'm pretty sure that was so they didn't get law enforcement looking into them though and Ted was a retard about it. Carmela stole the money for herself though.

      Because he was cooking the books, and she was unknowingly helping him. If he didn't crap out a lot of money that looked legit fast, him, and her, would both be looked into heavily. And the inevitable indirect consequence of that was that her and her husbands operation would get uncovered

    They are both really similar to be honest, but the inverse of each other. Both unhappy middle-aged men who wish their lives had turned out very differently. Walt ends as a crime boss and Tony starts out as one.
    What separates them the most in my opinion is that Walt is far more cruel and sociopathic than Tony. Tony feels terrible about all the horrible things he is doing as a criminal, which causes him to have panic attacks and nightmares, he is not proud of who he is.
    Walt on the other hand might feel somewhat guilty in the beginning of the show, but over time he takes more and more joy in causing suffering and gaining more power for himself.
    Tony actually cares about his family, Walt cares more about himself.

      Look at their respective families and situations. Tony, has a huge extended family and social circle, crew, and a code, in addition to a beautiful wife and 2 kids and a palace. Walt has only a bitch of a wife and a half r*tarded son and 30 years of regrets. His life is totally empty and he's a laughing stock and passed up a fortune and a better wife because of awkwardness. Walt being sociopathic shouldn't be so surprising. He has nothing and no one to live for, besides his wife and son and probably distant uninterested parents from a far more hollow and empty childhood home than Tony's.
      Objectively Walt was probably more sociopathic but given their circumstances S7 Tony was way more actively evil.

    • @blankeon6613
      @blankeon6613 Місяць тому +2

      @@calistudent6335 Sure I agree that Tony did more immoral actions on-screen, but we dont see all the thousands of lives that Walt ruined off-screen with his meth empire. Personally I think Walt is more evil because he takes pride in his own immorality while Tony wants to change himself but doesn't know how.

    Tony fucked up every single minor detail his life. When it came to death or life he was never caught slipping. He also had a better knee jerk reaction to problems than Walter ever had. Walt could plan it out better but Tony always struck first. Tony butchers Walt in every scenario. Tony was in every way a better criminal than Walter white. He was a complete sociopath and okay with who he was. Walter tried to hide his monster from everyone, not much more than a glorified narcissist. Walt’s only chance of winning would be a wheelchair bomb at a retirement community.

    What’s interesting is we never learn why Walter resented his mother so much, she didn’t even know he had cancer until like season 3. We never even see her on screen, to Walter she was nothing.
    His father however that is where his fear began. His only true memory of his father was bed ridden, dying and being a burden on his family. Even though it was a cruel fate for his father and his family to go through, Walter still kept that as something he never wanted for that to happen to him.
    Why I bring this up is because of Tony soprano and his relationship with his parental figures. They made him who he is, but unlike Walter whose inspiration was by life, Tony’s is by how shitty his family was.
    They taught Tony to always be toxic, and never change and when even if family stands in your way it’s ok to take them out.
    Walter is the complete opposite even though it would’ve been a easy way out for him, but he knew and felt how devastating it is when your family dies because of you, and actually does repent what he did in the end.
    Tony unfortunately never did and thus is in his own personal hell.

I personally would pick Tony/Gandolfini because I don't know of any actor that conveys anger and frustration the way Tony does. I personally can relate, because I find life to drive me crazy half the time. I go into work at 6 AM and white lights are blaring in the store. I feel like finding whoever invented bright white lights and bitch slapping him asking "why the fuck do you think we need this much light to see shit? You said skyler never stole money from walt the way Carmella stole 40k from Tony stash but we are going to ignore the fact that skyler stole 600K and gave it to the man she been sleeping with 😂😂😂

    • @WowLynchWow
      @WowLynchWow  12 днів тому

      The difference, I think, was motive. Skyler was trying to keep law enforcement off the scent of their illegal laundering activities (trying to protect the family). Carm stole the money from the duck food out of spite.

    Tony all the way. Tony was a life long, career criminal. Rotten to the core from day one. Unlike Walt, no need for a bald head or porcupine hat and shades. Tony was intimidating soon as he walked in the room. No ‘coming to Jesus’ moment like Walter. He died like he lived. Best single character EVER.

    If we're talking about a theoretical battle between the two characters, Walter White would win hands down.
    Walter took down the cartel, he outsmarted, and defeated every single one of his enemies.
    Tony on the other hand, lost the only battle he was ever involved in with New York.

    Gandolfini and The Sopranos are streets ahead of Cranston and BB. The latter are good, but not remotely comparable. There is just way, way more depth to The Sopranos.

    Both Tony and Walter are great characters and they’re both very similar, but it all comes down to who is the most self-centered out of the two. For me personally I think Walter is the most self-centered and the most sociopathic. At least Tony had moments where he felt guilty and ashamed of who he is and what he does. Whereas Walter found pleasure in destroying other peoples lives in order to gain money power and respect.

    It seems like you missed the point of Walter White wanting to keep a low profile with some of these categories: better house, car, wardrobe, women on the side, etc. Of course, Walt is gonna lose those. That's the point.

    Not long into the video and you've said Tony deserved two point for a category, but didn't give it... which is playing it fair - but then gave two points to Walter for a following category? Rigging it to keep it close. Disliked, and I'm away 10 minutes in.
