    I've had a win using your handy tip, what I did was mixed the salts with water and poured it down the deep root watering tubes.

    I live in the UK where it rains a lot. My Lemon tree has yellow leaves and some of the leaves are curling inwards. It’s not an old tree. It’s currently growing in a pot. I’m going to try the Epsom salts you suggested for the yellowing but why are the leaves curling up? I have just discovered your channel and I love the clear and simple way you explained this ❤

      Too much water and your roots are rottening (root rot) get them out of the rain and let the soil dry or better - repot them

    Here in Netherlands I find epsom salt as crystal to be placed in baths. Or an additive for health? Is that the same stuf?

    I started some lemon seeds a few months ago and need to transplant them. What type soil would they require? Thank you!

    • @becksbasics1
      @becksbasics1  Рік тому +3

      In both the ground and in a pot they need a nice free draining soil. Water them in with some seaweed solution to minimise transplant shock and give them a good watering in. Water every day for a week, then every week for a month then every month for a year👍👍

    I’m confused, Eason Salt is not magnesium but a magnesium sulfate. That’s not the same thing.

      Bacteria and other microbes in the soil decomposes it into Magnesium and Sulphur, plant usable form. Sulphur is further converted to sulphuric acid that lowers soil pH (makes soil acidic slightly), which all Citrus plants like.
