Gardening and home hints to build self sufficiency
What happens if you grow hybrid seeds?
SOMETIMES growing seeds from fruit and vegetables you’ve bought from the supermarket or green grocer can give you good results. But MOST OF THE TIME, you’ll get a throwback like in this video. So be mindful that you may not get what you hoped for and the resultant fruit may be sub-standard in a number of ways. PARTICULARLY be careful of random seeds found in “seedless” varieties - they are almost always hybrids.

6:07 for the information you're here for.
Since Ive only used the jars with lids and screw-on bands, how would you recommend tightening the reused jar lids such as the Bonne Maman? In the States, we use the term 'finger tip tight' to describe how much effort is applied to the 2 piece screw-on band with lid. Should the reused jars with a one piece lid be tightened with more force? Thank you. 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much. I have a lot of them. I tried the venigar and it burn my pepper.

Hi Beck, just found your website and this is a great video. I have used fruit bags for the last 3 years and they work a treat. I was never able to get any fruiting tomatoes until I started using the bags. I did a study last year into Queensland Fruit fly and also found using yellow sticky traps as well worked along with companion plants of Basil and Marigolds. The advantage of the yellow sticky traps is that you can identify when the fruit fly are active and keep count of the population. Happy gardening -Cheers
TY! Super easy and simple ! Will try right now !Easy peezy, 🍋 squeezy!
Thank you. I have white fly on my 7" indoor fig tree (Ficus benjamina). They've been sucking the life out of it. Will try this !

"Atmospheric energy" lol. What? Just insane.
Thank you Beck. I Doubled my quantity. Made two lange jars. Can I use this same pickling mix which has cooled down to pickle English cucumber?
Great info..just found some today..will try
It's a no brainer to use these jars. Our stores offer them empty in fall, and they cost 1 euro empty. The button is only an indicator. The air pressure will push down even flat lids. You cans see an indentation if you look carefully with a flat ruler. They take an effort to open and may pop. Only some mass produced goods come with a button in our stores.
Thanks for the tips! Mine two year old tree is now flowering for the first time. I notice that your tree is staked. I yanked the stake out of mine this year only to have the tree tilt to one side and I had to re-stake it. Do you know how to encourage stronger root and trunk growth? I think I may have allowed my tree to get a bit top-heavy and I need to prune some branches back this winter.
Why not just wet the potting mix then pour the seeds on top?
I love your videos.
Do you keep them outside ?
Thanks! Just the Thing!
I've had a win using your handy tip, what I did was mixed the salts with water and poured it down the deep root watering tubes.
Thank you for this information. I'm going to try this.
Thank you for this video. Might this also be the problem with my pomegranate tree as well?
Thank you!
You should partner with someone and/or publish results. So sick of pseudo science getting traction when it's typically because the average person can't get ahold of published results of experiments like this.
NPK numbers would be helpful

I wonder if electroculture just helps the CDC (cation exchange capacity) which helps with water and nutrient uptake in relation to plant growth.
