I would just say that a slow vibrato is more suitable for blues or country and the faster vibrator is more of a rock vibrato. Yes a lot of it comes to personal taste but always intonation is most important.

Hi, John. I’m in open A (open G a step higher: E-A-E-A-C#-E). I use open E and A instead of D and G. For me, I can play with a wider selection of artists and not capo so much.
