Revisiting your videos - man, I wish you would do some more slide lessons. I learned so much from the few you did. Cheers, from Spain.
Last night my Wife surprised me with a brand new Dean acoustic-electric resonator, and now it looks like I've found my primary teacher. Excellent work, keep 'em comin'. I'll be watching.
Did you get the thin body?
@@bestaudio7315 Nope. I'd wanted the thin body for a while, but the local shop became a Dean dealer and had a thicker-bodied, darker one that I liked even better. And now it's hanging on the living room wall. 😎
@@bestaudio7315 Awesome gift...! Did she get your body....;-D
Great teachings
Great lesson !!!!
Fabulous. You can really play. Some great ideas and styles here. Thanks
Awesome 🎉🎉
From South Brazil
Great lesson 👍👍👍
Great video, thanks!
Amazing video man
Tnx. Good ideas I will take a closer look at.
Wow, that is great! Like to learn this !!!
Dude, I started open g when I started playing and building cbg's. I bought my first reso, a rk dirty 30s, that I leaned against my recliner🤢 and replaced it with the Gretch reso, had been playing in open d on it, and set it down bc I wasn't having as much fun as g on my cbgs. Tuned my reso to g and fell in love again lol your tips were awesome man! I really like the sunny stuff you threw in, Great content!
Thanks for sharing ✅
Excellent video! I'd love to see you teach some open G rythymn ideas. Keep up the good work and take care !
Hello Slide Guy!! I love your playing. I’m not new to guitar but I’m new to roots blues and that side. I picked up a used Recording king Resonator guitar that has a Myers pickup mic and a ultra thin pickup by Lace. I just can’t seem to get good tone on the lower strings. Thank you for your lessons
great
Boss tattoo on you forearm, and a great lesson to boot!
Do you ever use thumb picks to play with? Thanks
I will need to watch that again , wow thanks sir , I be noobie, will be back !
When teaching...please explain what strings you're playing on what number frets and where you are sliding too as its not clear on the video...and I don't read music so I don't understand the scales etc...so instead of saying im sliding up to the f sharp...please explain im playing strings 1 and 2 and sliding from the 3rd fret to the 5th fret etc...this way its clear and easier to learn from.
Many thanks in advance and keep up the good work 👍
hello from russia, please do more stuff like that Open G
please.. what are the strings tuned to .. ?
open G
you're "the slide guy"?
Yes. Why do you ask, Tappy Oklahoma?
It's pronounced "Root."
Thanks for that.
You know that English comes in many varieties, right? We call them ‘accents’ ✌️
