Thanks Jane! Great help for this newby who planted his first 5 fruit trees just end of fall and I am excited to prep for my first season. One scare is I did a light pruning on my young tress as I was recommend to... wish I saw this first! hopefully all is ok.
Thanks for watching! I'm sure it will be fine. Remember, they are young trees, so it may take time for them to produce a substantial amount of fruit. Good luck!
@@greenbiznurserylandscaping3960 thanks! I am under the impression it would be a few years before I grew substantial fruit. I read that it may be a good idea to prune the flowers off when they bud this year in order for the tree to mature some more before budding fruit. Any thoughts on that information?
Lets say, I have a fruit tree or in my case multiple trees, How often would you need to spray dormint oil and fungicide . Realizing of course that 1-2 weeks between treatments at the start. Do I continue that all season of just at the beginning ?
Thank you for the video. I think for my 3 year trees I’ll do all three steps.. 10-10-10, dormant oil spray, wait a week then use fungicide. Is there a certain brand or method for the fungicide? A powder or spray? Does it go directly on the tree or on the soil? Thank you in advance Jane 🥰
My pear tree is about three years old and is flowering. I am in zone 9 should I wait for the flowers to fall of before spraying with sulfur…last year my pear tree got hit with a fungus
Jane, I have what I believe is a fungus growing in three of my houseplants. It looks like the children's toy floam, ie small styrofoam beads in yellow slime. It's growing under the surface on two. They're potted in clear nursery pots, so I can actually see what's going on under the surface of the soil. I have searched everywhere, but I can't get a definitive answer on what kind of fungus/mold it is. Are you familiar with this or have a name for it?
Hi! I have actually had the exact same fungus after using an organic, liquid fertilizer with fish poop in it. I blame it on that fertilizer. I wasn't able to figure out the name of the fungus, but it went away once I stopped using the fertilizer.

Thank you for the help. I live in Maryland. How many time should I use fungicide on my fruit trees in a year?
You can apply fungicide every 2-3 weeks as beed until they beginning budding.

Hi, there! I prefer liquid fungicide. It is easier to apply. I recommend spraying it on the tree and onto the soil.

I would definitely wait until winter.

what type of natural Fungicide do you recommend for a back yard tree?
Great question! My favorite are from Garden Safe and Dr. Earth. Both are organic and safe for fruit trees and vegetables.
Hello friend I want to work in apple orchard I like it very much

Any suggestions for wasps?
Try a wasp trap. You can usually find them at a hardware store or garden center.
Fruit trees and Tent Caterpillers… ugh… fighting them now
Ugh, they are tough for sure.
