    I love this attitude. It’s refreshing to hear versus the constant push to upgrade from a camera that was “the best” mere moments ago

    Your lense choices tells you're professional and experienced because amateurs buy all the lenses they can find, professionals only use 2 lenses and your 17-28 and 28-75 f.2.8 are ideal focal lengths for any situation. Add to this your decision and advice for repairing the camera and it makes this video the best I've seen on the subject of equipment.

    thank you for sum up, I think A7iii is still overkill for most of the users, it is an excellent camera :) How did its shutter replacement go? How much it was? thanks

      Anything that’s come out recently is more than enough for most people I think, unless you’re looking for the best and need the best. Shutter replacement went well, it was in the range of 500$ when I convert it. Came with a 6 month warranty too. Camera works just great again 🙏

    hey i also have A7III i heard about the shutter failure issue. SO I have been shooting a lot in silence mode which can save you a lot from wearing down that mechanical shutter.
    I am also curious how much it costs for a shutter replacement I heard it is around 500 USD?

      So I think the only issue with shooting in the silent mode or ES mode is that you can get some pretty bad banding on your images in certain lighting conditions, so just be aware of that. I’m still waiting on my quote but best thing would be to insure your camera against this kind of thing… I will be happy to mention when I get my A7III back and the process in an upcoming video if that would help ☺️ Hopefully it doesn’t hold you back though, remember there are still so many that never experience this issue 🙏

      Yup, still a great camera. The main reason I would say you would have to upgrade would be for video features. In terms of photography it deff still hold up 🙌

    I am in the same boat as you. Not that i have a broken shutter . But after using for 4 yrs, feel like upgrading . Still feel it does most of the work that i want. Which lenses do u use with a7iii ?

      It can be hard to know the diff between when you want something and need something, easy to convince ourselves we need something lol especially with camera gear 😂 I have the Tamron 17-28 Tamron 28-75 and the sigma 35mm 1.4. Would love somthing in the longer ranges but again, I don’t really neeed it 😅

    I wanna buy my camera rn, and I’m confused between the sony a7iii and a7c, i do both photo and video, and i liked the grip and ergonomic of the a7iii, and is the upgrades and the flip screen makes that difference, which one should i pick up!!!?
    And i will be pairing with the tamron 28-75 f2.8

      Firstly the Tamron 28-75 is a great choice, I have it and it’s great for photo and video! If the flipy screen doesn’t mean anything to you and you like the beefier A7III body, I would go with that. The rangefinder style takes some getting used to. The A7c has slightly updated auto focus but nothing you would really notice tbh. Plus if price is a factor you can pick up an A7III for a great price, probably I little cheaper than the A7c and maybe save towards another lens. Maybe the 17-28 f2.8 to cover most of your focal lengths 😬 Which ever way you decide to go I don’t think you will be disappointed. They are both still great cameras 🙌

      @@simplynickza3583 I was also thinking of getting the A7 III, but due to my budget, I have to get it used. I'm scared that a shutter failure might happen, like what happened to your camera. Should I be concerned and get the A7C instead? Also, how much does a shutter replacement cost?

    • @simplynickza3583
      @simplynickza3583  Рік тому

      @@alifru so a few things here, don’t let the shutter problem hold you back. When I took mine in the guy mentioned it wasn’t actually very common at all. Always insure your gear against issues like that for peace of mind. Then the A7c is basically the A7III in a more compact body, so if you don’t mind the range finder style view and a smaller body then great! Plus you get the full flippy screen. Also the A7c II is said to be coming soon so maybe worth waiting for that and then picking up the A7c for a nice discount 🙌 In the end Ali these are all great cameras and you can great so much with them. I hope something here helps you in your choice and good luck 😊📸

      @@alifru I think I will just sit and chat about the A7III Vs the A7c and also just mention the A7cII and some thoughts in an upcoming video. Obviously depending on your needs and what would be the best buy for you ☺️👌
