I have never tried this stitch, either. It always looked intimidatingly complex. Thank you for this basic tutorial...I have the feeling I will be rewatching numerous times!
I think I'll make a set of these for my friends for Christmas.....2 bracelets with a necklace & a set of earrings. They will love them. Simple but luxurious. As always Gina, a great video & a gorgeous piece.
I love these basic weaving tutorials. I've never tried this stitch but am going to give it a try. I'd like to try making short lengths to use as earrings to match a bracelet. Hmmmmm... Am also curious if that would work with the version using bugle beads. Something new to attempt! Thanks again! 🥰🐢
Somehow I missed seeing this one when you uploaded it. I’ve done a double St Petersburg stitch. I don’t think I’ve done it as a single one. Very interesting!! Thank you for sharing! 💜
I love this, such a pretty "chain" result. Somehow I missed this when it came out, so glad I saw it now. Gina, I love how you show us the steps multiple times (repeatedly). I've watched some tutorials by big name companies and some of them drive me nuts with how they just show you the stitch once and then keep going. So I for one really appreciate that you show it multiple times. (Reason 300 thousand why this channel is one of the top jewelry youtube channels...) I would be curious how to finish the chain off to be ready for adding clasps and whatnot, but that may just be my "I'm still new to this more advanced jewelry making thing" showing. Can't wait to see the bugle bead chain one. I know what I'm watching next. 😉 💜
Thank you so much for your comment! I am thrilled to hear it! 💜😁 If you check out the st. petersburg bugle chain necklace tutorial I posted after, you can see me demonstrate adding on the clasp section. I hope that helps!

You're so welcome, Wendy! Once you get started, and learn the basic repetition, it will provide great practice as you go! 💜💜💜

They could make some very pretty earrings, especially with the bugles! 💜💜💜
@@ORCHIDandOPAL I think so, too...particularly with the bugles. Have a great weekend! 🥰🐢
Have always been afraid of this stitch! Hopefully I’ll get it now!💜
Awesome! I'm glad you're planning to give it a try! 💜💜💜

@@ORCHIDandOPAL Absolutely, thank you. I love the bugle look too. 😉
Love it but it would have been nice to have seen you place a clasp on it.
Thanks, Jodie! I will show it in the upcoming bugle necklace tutorial. Thanks for your comment. 💜💜💜
Thank you for the video!!!
