I love this kind of videos. You live in such a beautiful and pristine country. Full of wildlife and edible plants. Hopefully, you make more videos like this in the near future. Thanks for the effort and stay safe!
Another great video. It's good to see sensible management come in play when selecting an animal to harvest. Having to lug out the meat and get the shot for the video takes some heart. Lost me again at the eyeball though.
Imagine finding some super fresh browsing sign in the bush then realizing you're just following Shay. Thanks for another great video and sharing your knowledge.
Love the videos mate, the drone footage is awesome too. Also man if you went on fear factor back in the day theres no way you lose. The eyeball thing made me flinch and look away hahaha.
Bloody awesome video Shay, absolute fan of your content and take so much inspiration from your videos, you’re a hardcore bloke and I have taken many quotes from your videos into my day to day life. Keep it up legend!
Bro yourvids going from strength to strength. Interesting content and slick editing/photography. Always keen to learn about bush tucka alghough not being a hunter bit limiting. Would love to know wat deer heart cooked on coals tastes like! Anyway bless and thx for sharing your awesome knowledge. 😁
Well done mate. Very educational and informative. The plants are real interesting, you have a lot of knowledge about them and it adds another dimension to being in the bush when you can identify what the bush around you is made up of. Happy new year to you and the family. Bring on the vids in 2022! Hot barrels - Josh
I would love to see a gear review video! Just a video going over the contents of your bag, what caliber rifle you hunt with, and so on. Things that you always take with you, things that depend on time of year, and things some things that you take for certain tasks in the bush! Keep up the good work! You are my favorite UA-cam channel! I hope you and your family are doing well in these uncertain times!
great work mate would love to see life of a possum trapper 6 ive learnt alot from those videos helped me with my skills on working out where possums go and how they move around and its helped my trapping succsess greatly

Hey mate, I’m doing a fly in trip to the Ureweras this October, really looking forward to it. Going with the bow in hand. Just wandering if it’s better too walk the creeks and river or sneak through the bush….?
Absolutely awesome Shay . I have learnt so much just from watching your vlogs , great honest explanations on how and what is good for eating in the bush , have a happy year ahead for you and your lovely family , cheers mate .
@@KeepingItWild thought you guys moved down south. Hopefully you’ll join South Island future as guys like you are gold👍🏼. All best guys & keep em coming
Epic video again, do you ever get the shits when you have a massy fire like that, that the rest of the bush is going to go up in flames? Or no worries?
Depends on the area. Hard to tell on the video but was quite swampy around that camp so I wasn’t worried. Usually our mature native bush is pretty hard to burn though, unless its a real hard drought. Scrub is a different story and can go up so pays to be carful
Well I'm thinking ur not a fish eater, otherwise this major eruption, would have made it on your page, & we would be hearing all about th disruptions of your bush life. Jeff B.
Yes - a real "hunting" video. One with out all the long range optic ballistic dramas or Label clothing parade :-) Have a good year Shay
