I can remember being your age and being able too run on bare ice carrying the minnow bucket and not worry about falling. great video guys and girls keep them coming
@@bradleymarquardt4464 i think if i lived up in northern Wisconsin i would still have to take at least 5-10 trips a year to the bay lol. Lake Michigan is beautiful, we absolutely love watching the sun come up and catching salmon out there.
Oh yes I agree on the sunset. We will be making trips down soon as my wife retires. When she does I will cut back on the controlled beaver trapping I do, and we will have more time.
I was out of Suamico to the north on Friday morning and caught a 24" walleye, and kept 9 perch all over 9". It was funny because I started with 9.3 feet of water and when I left it was right at 10'. That north wind was pushing water in there. I wish I have had rosies but all the Citgo had were medium fatheads. They still worked.
Nice work, That’s a good day in my book! Yeah i heard the citgo was running low on minnows so i ran to fleet farm west and they were loaded up pretty good on everything. Crazy how much the water will rise and lower on the bay some days. Hope this warm weather doesn’t mess our ice up too bad 🤬
Awesome jumbos it’s been a while in Chicago for fish like that and I’m slowly moving my way up the Lake Michigan coast ;) Going to be a great year. Pricey for out of staters but a great year 😎🎣🎣👍
OMG---Tons of great Perch right in the Chicago Indiana Lake Michigan area. FROM Boat we smack the heck out of them in summer and fall. 3 guys in a Boat we have 200 fish days right in sight of the Chicago Skyline.
You guys ever cut a bigger hole and sight fish for those? So much fun when they’re active! In a few short years you’ll be taking your kids on these adventures! God bless you and yours! Thank you.

Dang, you did way better than I did! There was more white fish swimming around than perch that day where I was. Would you share FOW fishing in? Hopefully the launches hold up with this warm spell
Some days that’s just the way it goes out there i guess. We were fishing in 9-10 feet of water on this day. I think the ice/ landings will hold for another week for sure but if we get those 40 degree days on February.. that’s not gonna be good

Doesn’t get much better than catching perch on tip ups and having a couple Busch lights on the ice! Friday fish fry is the cherry on top 😁🎣

When we lived in Seymour we fished the bay year round, along with lake Michigan. Sure miss it.

Any plans to get out on Poygan this week/weekend? Forecast looks like it might be the last safe ice for the Winnebago system.
I’ve got a couple videos coming yet from poygan.. was out there today and the ice is not looking too great 👎🏻
