This & only a few others, are the only JRE episodes I can actually consider watching all the way through. Alex is just too interesting to pass up man. It saddens me that people don't give him the benefit of the doubt despite his obvious flaws in some areas (especially with the whole court case surrounding him atm―which I don't know what to really make of, only praying about it all). Regardless still, to me―at least in these, he just bizarrely stands out in a way I can't really explain, & still manages to try to be honest through it all. And this all just makes him semi-admirable (& also hilarious sometimes, but in a good way). This & only a few others, are the only JRE episodes I can actually consider watching all the way through. Alex is just too interesting to pass up man. It saddens me that people don't give him the benefit of the doubt despite his obvious flaws in some areas (especially with the whole court case surrounding him atm―which I don't know what to really make of, only praying about it all). Regardless still, to me―at least in these, he just bizarrely stands out in a way I can't really explain, & still manages to try to be honest through it all. And this all just makes him semi-admirable (& also hilarious sometimes, but in a good way).
And if people don't see that in him (which I understand), they should at least consider the things he's said & how he went out of his way to say them in the first place―knowing full well how ridiculous he probably comes off. But no matter how absurd the things he shares, much he claims aren't even from him. And we know some of them have actually come to be true in one way or another. So he knows what he's saying (most of the time).
And I don't mean to go into this so deep, but it kinda brings me back to certain sentiments that things aren't always what they seem & that there's always a bigger picture to things―& that essentially, truth often times can be stranger than fiction. And as a Christian, despite that he's not one himself―he sort of just reminds me of something else in Scripture (& I'm saying it's 100% correct by any means), that goes something like:
_'But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty, and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are.'_
