- Israel Hamas War | Israel has significantly increased its call-up of over 360,000 reservists to combat Hamas in the ongoing war. These reservists, the backbone of Israel's military, are part of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Reserves, which is composed of all Israeli citizens, as military service is compulsory. Men serve two and a half years, women serve two years, and it begins at age 18. Reservists undergo periodic training exercises to maintain their skills and can be called until age 40 or even 50, depending on their role. Countries like South Korea, Brazil, North Korea, and Iran also have compulsory military service.

The information about amount of mobilized troops is wrong! Israel didn’t call 360 000 reservists. Israel called 300 000 reservists, but 360 000 arrived, 60 000 of which came voluntarily. There are actually more reservists willing to come, but IDF sent them back home due to lack of equipment, space and etc., because they didn’t expect such a huge amount of volunteers + there’re more reservists willing to come, who stuck overseas and trying to come back
