I saw intro, I got angry because I am a man, but as I listened I couldn't agree more with her. She's right. This is how the society is this is how my mother got stripped of her education despite she had 3 masters. She couldn't pursue her career. I hope I won't let this happen to my sisters. Feminism isn't about stripped clothes, or cigarette / drinking women. Its about women rights and she's right about it.

I'm a 21-year-old guy from Peshawar, and from what I've seen, I agree with her. this whole male-dominated thing here is just out of control. The way girls are treated, it's just not right. I see how girls around me get discouraged from aiming high or following their passions. there's this unspoken rule that says women shouldn't be out there doing jobs, and get discouraged even from playing sports. It's frustrating to see how much patriarchy holds us back. Violence is getting normalized, and that's scary.
I agree bro. I’m from UP, India. Here it is also a male dominated society, where women face problems in education, jobs, dating and marriage. Almost all aspects of women’s lives are controlled by their husbands or fathers. Even expressing their opinions or having a choice or hobby if their own is frowned upon. That, along with sexual harassment and violence against women. It is a terrible situation for them. Needs to improve.

I couldn't agree with her more. My mom is a successful entrepreneur in Pakistan who built her business from scratch. After my dad's business crashed, she defied societal norms and, despite facing insults from some family members for starting her business to support the family, she persevered. The majority of men in Pakistan can be so negative and egoistic that they struggle to tolerate women's success. We must strive to eliminate this toxic culture and support the empowerment of women in all aspects of life
An individual man, who will define when and where to stop imposing religious thoughts on another person. Imposing culture should stop and it will ultimately stops harassment. Thats a simple things we as a man can adopt and convey to our children. We always should see ourselves that either we are practicing islam and strive to do better in religious practices.

Incase you doubt that, go home and ask your mother how many times your dad made her wanna leave him but she could not because of the construct of the society. Women are being abused, sometimes its also mental.
There is alot that I could not even imagine that she has discussed, has written and have confronted all her life with respect to upholding the prestige of a woman. Its a horrible world to be born in as a woman :'( cried my lungs out.. its hard hard to contain what is happening out there with women..

This statement and everything discussed on this podcast just serves men's life. Women are born to serve these men. When they don't they are forced and shamed to do so.

My mother and father went back to their house with barat after doing dulhan's rukhsati and once my father's friend who was a very very aggressive man went inside to the room with dulhan. Just after 15 mins he came outside and told my father about what happened. My mother went inside and she couldn't believe the amount of bleeding and pain the poor woman who was only a few hours dulhan was enduring. They had to rush the bride to the emergency and she wasn't even present in her own valima. And yes it was an arranged marriage and I have seen the couple several times later during my childhood and the uncle was always extremely horrible to his wife who was a very innocent and decent woman and was always very kind to me and others.

I am a teacher and also a student, I also see such things with our society's female, even with my female students, colleagues and classmates, they are got discouraged to have a vision to contribute in the development of society, only timely marriage is the vision they have from their parents and other society members and because of this they don't be able to built their career and don't be able to contribute their part in the society. Their vision is only to be a housewife.

Love u doctor.... I learned all of this when I went abroad.... Well long story short my wife is a military nurse n I am stay at home father...even I m accountant hehehe.. I unlearn everything when I left Pakistan..... My wife is from Philippines...😊
I too had to unlearn many negative view points and behaviours... We grow up with such toxicity re women, children and minority groups. The ability to unlearn and re-learn is what enables an individual to grow...
For those who think “not all men are the same” please have then sit alone in a room and have them take a truth test, I am pretty sure, all men would give the same answers if they’re from our society. No matter how progressive they can act within their households, they’re the same! Although i do disagree with a few things, Islam has granted women immense respect and women are considered strong too. In the end it all comes down to granting women equal “cerebral opportunity” rather than physical opportunities.

Pakistan requires these types of discussions. Our men of society will change their minds once women acknowledge their rights and begin to speak for themselves. Additionally, we need these discussions for women to comprehend their rights because women are frequently confined to their homes and have little knowledge of the outside world. Such words remove question marks and instill confidence. Very well done! Prayers and good wishes on your way Dr ❤
Dr Tahira highlighted some of the very vital things that women face in today's world. Not all men are alike. But sadly majority men expect the woman to not have an opinion as long as it is not creating a conflict with the views of the said man. If she shows an opinion then she's belittled for it, her emotional intelligence is questioned big time, not by anyone else but the man who's supposed to listen to her when she shares/talks about something. Man can do and see what he wants. Why? Because he feel entitled of doing the exact thing he forbids his woman to do (just talking about the basic rights which can take a long list even). Its sad how our men think they are not answerable for their actions while in reality they are setting a wrong precedence for younger generations to come. Just hoping that the loop of male superiority complex would come to an end so things can become better.

Due to very strong patriarchal traditions cemeted with hadiths based religious doctrine, poor education, poverty n expliotative political n social system etc the changes r gradual n may take time.

After my dad's business crashed, she defied societal norms and, despite facing insults from some family members for starting her business to support the family, she persevered.

Their vision is only to be a housewife.

I love her way of explaining concepts, especially the way she brings in Punjabi. She is being the voice of the people. Kudos to her.

"Mera jism meri marzi" don't they realise that a rapist can also defend himself saying this slogan, this slogan is atrocious if u look at the things it is justifying, this slogan justifies shirk, rape murder and etc
Correct slogan should be "Mera jism Allah ki marzi"
Also u don't have to be feminist to support women's rights, being Muslim is enough.
U can fight for women's rights calling yourself a Muslim, no need to call yourself a feminist because feminism doesn't agree with islam and I will prove it why.
Feminism supports equality of rights between men and women
While islam promotes equity/justice
There is an important difference.
For example:
in islam
1 mans witness = 2 women
(according to feminism it should've been 1:1)
Most deserving of our good treatment amongst the people is our mother thrice then our father
(According to feminism it should've been half mother half father)
These are a few examples so the conclusion is Islam doesn't agree with feminism because men and women don't have equal rights but equity.
Somewhere women are superior, somewhere men are superior in rights.
But in Allah's sight both are equal, and none is superior to other except by taqwa.
But feminism when talking about Equality it's talking about Equality of rights, not equality of status in front of Allah.
No need to be a feminist to support women's rights, being Muslim is enough.
Islam gave more rights to women then feminism ever will, because answer this question.
Is Allah not the most all knowing and most just? If yes then wouldn't he gave all the rights women should have through islam?
Also from outside feminist looks like they are demanding women's rights
But from inside it is a liberal agenda, which aim is to degrade men. It only fights for women's rights and not for mens rights because by definition it supports equality right so it should support both? No that doesn't happens,
@@mynmeisname4825 bro Allah has given humans freedom of choice. That's why they'll be judged on the Final day. They'll go to hell for their own choices, not for Allah's choices. Secondly, you have not watched the video because she didn't say anything that goes against Islam. Does Islam allow a woman's marriage without her consent? That's what Mera jism Meri mrzi means.
@@lecturocity7281no idea what that freedom of choice arguement meant but whatever
Also I have the problem with slogan mentioned in title.
Mera jism meri marzi meaning my body my choice
This means u go do anything u want with your body (murderzrape, zinw, suicide anything)
So good luck defending that
@@mynmeisname4825 people will go to hell for their own choices. They'll go to jannah for their own choices.
@@lecturocity7281 how does that disprove my points?
Feminism slogan literally justifies murder.
Also I disproved feminism through islam

She is such a great lady i ve ever seen... she is full of knowledge
Im 18F living in abuse. My dad beats my mom, me and my younger siblings. Even though my mom is financially independent, she is not seeking divorce because...... log kia kahen ge? society kia kahay gi?
This is why im feminist. If the domestic abuse bill had been allowed to pass, perhaps i would have gotten help.
Sorry to hear. Fortunately, the percentage of such cases is very low. I know 2 families where the women have been abusing their husbands. Let's not put everyone in the same category.

Alright, from now on whenever such a beating situation arises just recite the undermentioned Dua in your heart/mind NOT by tongue for Multiple times till the time the situation defuses n also tell you mom too.
And after Namaz as a Dua too. And also offer 5 times Namaz too.
CAUTION to be noted:
Never read this Dua in your mind all the time. This Dua is only meant for worst scenario cases.

Its always good to hear from an intelligent independently thinking woman, on the dismal situation of women in our society. Much conversation research n analysis is needed to bring awareness on better changes.
Due to very strong patriarchal traditions cemeted with hadiths based religious doctrine, poor education, poverty n expliotative political n social system etc the changes r gradual n may take time. Keep it up its important n vital.

But ask your Holy book as to what it says about this matter. Societal values comes from your theological philosophy and in your case they all are theological dictats that must be considered as ideal human behaviour.

Allah Rabbul Izzat Quran-e-Kareem me farmata hai:
ہُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّکُمۡ وَ اَنۡتُمۡ لِبَاسٌ لَّہُنَّ
Wah Tumhara Libas hai aur tum uske Libas ho,,
*(Quran - 2:187)*
Libas se badh kar insan ka koi Raazdaar nhi hota,,,
Jo sardi aur garmi me insan ki hifazat karta hai,
Miya Biwi ko ek Dusre ka Libas kah kar is taraf ishara kiya gya hai ki unko ek dusre ki kamzoriyo aur kotahio kaa ameen hona chahiye aur har mushkil waqt me ek dusre ka muhaafiz aur madadgaar hona chahiye...
• Aur Biwiyo ke saath Acchi tarah raho saho.
*(Quran 4:19)*
• Aurto ka Haq Mardo par waisa hee hai jaisa Dastoor ke Mutabiq (Mardo ka haq) Aurato par hai, Al batta mardo ko unn par fazeelat hasil hai.
*(Quran 2:228)*
Isi Tarha Allah Ke Rasool (Saw) ki Aahadees me Aata hai ke:
• Aurato se behtar Sulook karo kyunki Aurat pasli se paida ki Gae hai aur pasli ka sab se zyada tedha hissa woh hai jo uska buland hissa hai.. Agar tu Usey Seedha karne lage ga tou Usey Thodh dega aur agar Chodh dega tou Tedhi hee Rahegi, Lihaza Aurto se Accha Sulooq karo.

• Koi Momin Mard, Momina Aurat, Yaani Apni Biwi se Bhugz(nafrat) na rakkhe, kyunki agar Us sey uss ki koi Aadat Napasand hai tou koi dusri pasand bhi hogi.
*(Sahi Muslim Hadith Number - 3645)*

*(Jaame Tirmizi Hadith Number 1965)*

• Jis ki Do Biwiya ho aur woh Unn me se Ek ki taraf hi Mayeel(Atract) ho tou woh Qayamat ke Din is Haal me Aayega ke uska Ek Pehlu Jhuka hoga”
*(Hadith: Abu Dawud 2133)*
# Albatta woh umoor jinn me adal mumkin na ho jaise Mohabbat aur Dil ki Khushi tou in par khawind par khuch gunah nhi.
• Agar tum chaaho bhi to apni Biwiyo ke Darmiyaan Adal na kar sakoge.
*(Quran; Surah Nisa; 4:129)*
Rasool Allah (Saw) ne farmaya ke Aye Allah! yeh meri taqseem aise muamle me hai jis me mera ikhtyaar hai aur jiss baat me tera ikhtyaar hai, mera nahi uss par mujhey malamat na farmana.
*(Hadith: Abu Dawud 2134)*
