    As long as she's smiling I'd say you're doing a good job with the Jeep!

      She used to hang in the garage with me all the time but hasn’t for a few years. I just told her let’s go put some shocks on and she came with👌

    I ran 5125s front and 5150 rear on my former '94 YJ, great combination with Rubicon Express HD 4.5" springs. As I recall I had M.O.R.E. extension mounts F&R. The whole deal worked great for the mid 2000s, 36" IROKs on 15" TR HD beadlocks. Hated selling that rig.

      Bilstein is good stuff! I kind of wanted the 5165s with resivoirs but at the end of the day it’s a yj, and those were over double the cost

    I just got my 14in, 5165 in today.. :) although I get mine through my commercial act at O'Riley's, it saves about 35$ off of the "internet prices".

    • @FlawedOffroad
      @FlawedOffroad  2 роки тому

      Never would have thought to try there. I got 2 from Kolak to try out but before they even got here I got on Amazon and grabbed 2 more. Same price he was charging

      @@FlawedOffroad with commercial accounts they give you better pricing, but you have to spend quite a bit per month. I'm working on getting an act setup directly with bilstein, cut out the middle man completely.

      @@MegaMarclar Yeah I have access to one of those. former employee has a "shop" setup in the system that doesnt even exist and has all his buddies use it lol. the discount is weak on some stuff but pretty good on high markup stuff like wipers

    If you want a less stiff ride, try relocating your shackle mounts, and increase your shackle length,(that will also increase travel by an insane amount

    • @FlawedOffroad
      @FlawedOffroad  Рік тому

      I actually have a pretty decent shackle angle with the longer springs. The front rides quite nice but Im going to attempt to lower it down an inch, removing another leaf from the pack. the rear is going to get 4 linked in the future

    Do you drink from a steen? Or a stine? Bill-stine. Bill-stines also take about 30 minutes of drive time to “warm up.” They are stiff at first.

    After watchin your Moab video I’ve swore not to get a true trac locker😂 so thanks for that. Have you changed the front locker and what rear locker are you running???

    • @FlawedOffroad
      @FlawedOffroad  Рік тому

      I found a kingpin 60 to replace the front 44, its getting swapped in soon with an ox locker. I have a rear ox locker with air shift. Some of my newer videos show the new axle

      The one I have is actually a Yukon Dura-grip, Similar to a true trac but different. I always forget what its called and call it a trutrac

    What did you use for the rear upper towers for your shocks, I would like to steal your idea on my CJ.

    • @FlawedOffroad
      @FlawedOffroad  Рік тому +1

      They are from a ford truck, I can’t recall the year but it’s super popular. If you google “ford truck shock towers” or look on pirate I’m sure the year will reveal itself as I can’t recall. I heavily modified them and they are notched out and welded down the backside of my frame but you can also c notch the frame and sink them in

    Anyone know if these fit on f350 stock height? Having a hard time getting it to fit.

    • @FlawedOffroad
      @FlawedOffroad  6 місяців тому

      I mean theres a million size shocks that bilstein makes, the ones im using are not vehicle specific. Search up the bilstein catalog and it will tell you exactly which ones for a stock f350 that you need(or you can browse the "universal" shocks but you really need to know the collapsed/extended lengths if youre going to use those) I think 5125's are the non specific fit and 5150 are vehicle specific IIRC
