Don't like Game of Elden Ring but i'm hapy to see them keeping busy. It's good. It means that we can soon forget all about this and think of the next souls game :)
It's so nice that there is at least one company in the AAA space that consistently puts out fantastic games. It's refreshing every time they release something.
So we're just going to ignore the stuttery mess, 60 fps lock, utterly inexplicable keyboard layout, non-rebindable buttons, map that didn't know what a mouse is? I've seen 2000s PC ports better than that from a technical standpoint. What I want to know is did any of that get improved? Is it a competent PC game finally or does Japan still not know what a PC is?

Yes, and for Varré's questline, the online mode isn't necessary. An invasion sign can be found in Altus Plateau: Magnus, the Beast Claw (in the Writheblood Ruins) and replaces the 3 invasions online. (Sorry for my bad English)

Making the "mini sequel" to Elden Ring as a big, and relatively expensive, DLC is a pretty good idea. The devs can reuse the same engine as is, while concentrating on just making new content. Also, who's ready for 18 inches of Messmer
Good thing about Mogh, the best rune farming spot is the little ledge outside of the lake. Just dispense of all the albinaurics there and walk to the site of grace and repeat. Also, ironically Mogh(pronounced like toe) is weak to the bleed status.
If you don't have a good weapon with inbuilt aoe to kill them fast or a spell, use a bow on the same place and shoot the bird across the ravine, he'll run at you and fall down. You'll get about 11k runes per kill and he dies in 2 seconds, rest at bonfire, repeat. So you'll get alot of runes aswell within 1 hour (more with that yellow chickenfoot consumable, I don't recall the name).
i remember when I first played Elden Ring, you could parkour your way over the wall into moghs boss fight and if you didnt use the door the fight didnt start. So you would hop over the wall and see Mogh just standing there and you could kill the afk Mogh with no effort. I think its been patched out though
I'm pretty bummed I don't enjoy this dlc. It feels more or less the same. And something I really loved about elden ring is how unique it is. Shadow is stupid hard and I beat the main game 10 times over. Really sad:(
Honestly, I'm more annoyed at how empty it feels. The map could have been 1/3 smaller and not suffered for it at all. There's so little to do considering how big it is.
@@FellTreeZthat’s my disappointment too. The original map had a lot more content, lots of riding between destinations instead of exploring, as there is nothing to find. Also the scaling is weird, it is tricky until you get all the scar shards (sic) then it’s too easy once you get them (except for final boss, which I beat with a specific fingerprint shield build).
It's rather grim and so a game to focus on in the chilly winter rather than a sunny Mediterranean summer. What is fun in the occasional spin is that one can focus on parrying rather than the blasted rolling.
Having spent over 800 hours with the game, I think this is going to be enjoyable. It's good to have some new areas to play around with. I guess I am ready to start then. I have killed all bosses under the sky and the land itself.
just to clarify: your level does NOT matter in the dlc zone. you only need to be strong enough to beat those 2 bosses, and then its an entirely new leveling system that's completely separate from the base game. if you are struggling you need to go explore the new zone and collect those fragments to get stronger in this new zone.
Difficulty is pretty much consistent with previous Fromsoft expansions. they intended as post endgame content, not something you jump into right away, that's why they're always hidden behind later portions of base game.
I love how hard the difficulty is in the dlc , it lets fromsoftware go wild because its essentially endgame content and not something you need for accesability , like the first game where you overleveled quite easy early on
They just don't have a clue about how to balance a game and this is true since Demon's Souls, but they have understood that the higher the difficulty, the more they will be hyped by their fanatic fanbase. So why disappoint them?
I wanna play the DLC so badly but I'm just not willing to relearn how to play Souls Like after a long hiatus from the genre.. The frustrations and time commitment is just too much to ask for..
I'm not sure how someone can be super casual with only 40 hours in, but still somehow have the expansion unlocked. I bought the game recently as my first souls game I put any real time in and I'm 45 hours in and nowhere near done the base game.
It is incredibly huge and thats why we love it... Cerulean coast looks as amazing as liurnia lake shore... Beautiful game whatsoever however incredibly difficult... Last boss to be honest was dissapointing
I got to DLC with 211 lv cha. strong mobss took 4-5 shot to kill me, but I kiiled it faster. But when i leveled up reverse and scadoss tree i think, things getting easier

Its not - you still need Mods for this. The sad part about the developer is that when it comes to performance fixes or add ons like widescreen they are Deaf to listen on those, have no idea why, might be engine issiue or something but if mods can make it so the developers should be able.

I've never been a fan of how they let you access DLC that you already paid for. You can spend money and get 0% out of it because you aren't good enough. I beat the base game and said "Finally, I'm done."
after 148hrs am only missing 2 bosses from the base game and mohg isn't one of them... but i followed ranni's questline and burned the erd tree which locked me out a portion of the game
Cheesy caster is what I had for my second play thru of the game but this DLC will punish you for it lol so I had to learn how to slash and dash and shield smash.. so fun lol
Listen if I beat Moge anyone can, I’m not a Dark Soul player my favorite and the intro was Blood Borne which is also my favorite, so if I did this then anyone that beat any Souls game can, because I never did.

High end of the developers estimate 30-40 hour run time for the expansion ( I played 50 ). Trust me, I know I'm not on the high end of time sunk into Elden Ring LOL. I play loads of new games every month, so that'll never be me.

I dont like the ramping up of difficulty. I like the souls like games, but they belong to everyone, not just the experts. DS 2 showed this, as did DS 1 and Demons souls.

From Software truly are the hero devs of our generation. They release banger after banger with uncompromising vision and no micro transactions.
I'd be maidenless again for a couple of weeks/months. 5000 plus hours spent on the original game.

There is significantly more than that. Only 3 of the bosses are required. But there are 8 more
